EP 23: Playing Lesson; 3 Areas of Focus for Immediate On Course Scoring Improvement
This episode covers 3 areas of focus that tend to be most important when Eric and Rob are on the course with students.
1. Process- From warm up to pre and postshot routines, our process drive our outcomes. Do we practice them? Are they consistent?
2. Shot/Club Selection- Greens in Regulation is maybe the most relevant stat in golf. How far do your clubs go? What shot selection matches my shot dispersion pattern, and am I too aggressive or not aggressive enough?
3. Acceptance- Is acceptance of a range of outcomes the key to enjoyable golf? Are we supposed to be consistent?
We also preview our interview with Dr. Raymond Prior where we discuss incredible insights from his book "Golf Beneath the Surface." https://www.amazon.com/Golf-Beneath-Surface-Science-Psychology/dp/1637743092
