The Human Body Is Amazing & Always Communicating, But Are You Listening?
Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of Conscious Collingwood! Today, the boys start off on one topic, segue into a bunch of others, and somehow tie it all together in the end. Once again the topic of self-awareness kicks things off and Jeff dives into the concept of pain and dis-ease in the body, highlighting how it's the body's way of communicating with us. Justin chimes in, sharing his insights, education and experiences on dealing with discomfort in the body. The human body is so amazing. The question is, are you listening to it?
This fall, Everlove is hosting a retreat called Prisma, and Justin talks about the intention behind it. It’s a shamanic experience where you feel into the emotions hidden in your body, going beyond just practical, theoretical exercises. Justin and Jeff open up about what they're expecting from attending the retreat.
Jeff gets real for a minute, sharing the message behind his tears from the previous night's yoga class. It's amazing how much information is stored in our bodies and how it can be released. Oh, and he also has a few complaints about his golf game!
Justin’s class, The Surge, is a strength-based flow class designed to push participants to their physical limits and test their mind, body, and spirit. The boys discuss last Sunday’s class, with Jeff getting curious about how Justin manages to both perform and instruct such a demanding session.
As they wrap up, they talk about unity and kindness. If we could all be present enough to understand that everyone is constantly managing their minds and dealing with endless thoughts, we could connect more deeply and show more empathy and compassion. Life isn’t easy, and sometimes we make it harder than it needs to be. What a trip!
Thanks for tuning in, and we hope you love this edition of Conscious Collingwood!
