Nonkululeko Gobodo is the CEO of AWAKENED Global, a social initiative. She is the former Chairman and founder of SizweNtsalubaGobodo, now SNG Grant Thornton, the largest, black auditing and accounting firm in South Africa. Nonkululeko was the first African woman to qualify as a chartered accountant in South Africa, in 1987.

She is the author of a book, “Awakened to my true self”, which was launched in October 2022.

She serves on the boards of PPC LTD and Shoprite Holdings which are listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and Lesaka Technologies Inc and was appointed as the Chancellor of Walter Sisulu University in April 2023.
