I'm Amy Erhart, the host of Diaries of a Heart Warrior; born with a Congenital Heart Defect (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome-HLHS). I'm creating this podcast to bring you stories told by individuals living with a Congenital Heart Defect. Episodes will also include the parent(s) point of view on how it felt to receive the diagnosis of their child; what they wish they knew and what life looks like now. Let's take a journey and explore the lives of Heart Warriors as the stories are told from their perspective.

Dr. Terry Davis- Pediatric Heart Surgeon
Dr. Davis started his career in 1960. In this podcast you will hear how and why he chose to become a pediatric surgeon and what he has done throughout his incredible career. When asked how many surgeries he has completed he stated around 5000! His journey of learning new and uncharted territory is just as intriguing as ours. He has seen, as well as been a part of the strides the medical field has made throughout the decades.
