Ayurveda teaches that everything in nature (and in us) is made of the five elements — space, air, fire, water, and earth. These shape the three doshas:
Vata(air + space) — cold, dry, quick, creative
Pitta(fire + water) — heat, digestion, intensity
Kapha(earth + water) — soft, stable, nourishing
Winter carries strong Vata energy, which is why you may notice dry skin, dry hair, scattered thoughts, difficulty focusing, or feeling ungrounded. As we move toward late winter, Kapha begins to emerge with its heaviness and cool moisture.
