Behind the Veil of Addiction: A Young Mother’s Journey to Freedom (Part 1)

In this episode, I sit down with my daughter-in-law Heather, who bravely shares her raw and honest story of addiction, recovery, and rebuilding her life. This conversation is deeply personal for me, not only because of my own family’s journey through addiction, but also because it sheds light on the often-misunderstood realities of what it feels like to live inside addiction.

Heather opens up about her earliest struggles, the weight of shame and guilt, the way addiction tore apart family bonds, and the turning point that helped her begin a path toward healing. She doesn’t just share her story—she offers hope, resilience, and a reminder that recovery is possible no matter how far gone things may seem.
