You can feel “fine” on paper and still know something is off. That quiet mismatch is where today’s conversation begins, with our guest Kelly Pietrangeli, founder of Project Me, long-time coach, retreat host in Ibiza, and now a Soul Plan practitioner who has read hundreds of charts for women craving clarity. We talk honestly about what happens when you become a mum and suddenly lose the identity you built through work, friendships, and the life you used to live, and how that can spiral into stress, shouting, and feeling like a hot mess behind the scenes.

Kelly shares the practical tool that helped her rebuild: the Project Me Life Wheel, a monthly check-in across health, family, love, work, money, fun, and personal growth. We dig into why balance is not a perfect target, how to spot what is slipping before it becomes a crisis, and why writing things down can unlock momentum. From there, the conversation opens up into synchronicities, journalling questions before sleep, dream tracking, and the “breadcrumb trail” moments that shaped her move to Ibiza and the surprising timing of her 2020 vision becoming real.

We also go deeper into inner wellbeing, from breathwork and meditation to emotional awareness, energy protection, and stepping out of fear-based collective noise. Kelly explains Soul Plan readings and why understanding your talents, challenges, and purpose can stop comparison and put you back in your lane. We finish with a powerful health reality check: osteoporosis, heavy weight training for women, protein, creatine, and the mindset shift that makes strength feel empowering rather than intimidating, plus our favourite time and phone habits to reclaim minutes that actually change your day.

If you enjoy thoughtful wellness with a dash of humour and real-life tools you can use immediately, subscribe, share with a friend, and leave us a review so more women can find the show. What part of the conversation are you going to try this week?

SPEAKER_02

Let's dive in. Hello and welcome to this week's episode of the Far Too Fabulous podcast. I'm already laughing because I was trying not to laugh and now I've made it a thing. Again, every time these guys listen to us, we're gonna have this intro now, aren't we? I hope they're laughing with us. And we were trying to be on our best behaviour because we've got a guest today. Although she won't mind. She won't mind if we're not on our best behaviour. We've got Kelly P. P is not her surname, but she's got a surname that I cannot pronounce. But Kelly P from Project Me. And we've known each other for quite a few years now. We met through business. And Kelly's just one of those people that you kind of just want to be in her presence because she's got good energy and good vibes about her. She originally comes from America, moved to the UK, now is in Ibiza. So we'd have to find out a bit more about that. You originally worked for MTV, then had suffered burnout, and then ended up becoming a mum and developing this framework. It's a project me, which I loved. I ended up buying your book for so many of my mum friends. Absolutely, absolutely loved it. We're going to talk about all sorts of things today. But Kelly, thanks for being on the podcast. That's a very small intro. Tell us more.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, first of all, it's Kelly Pietra Angeli, which is Italian, thanks to my Italian husband. Um, it actually means rock angels, Pietra, like um petrified, and Angeli means angels. So rock angels. We are the rock angels. And um you had you had um that intro really good, except I never worked for MTV. Not sure where that came from, but um I did I did work in the music

Hollywood To Motherhood Identity Shift

SPEAKER_00

industry. So um yeah, I worked for Capitol Records in Hollywood and then um Polydor Records in London and Sony Music in London. Yeah. Very cool. How was that? Yeah, that was super cool. It was fun. When I was in Hollywood, I was Johnny Depp's PA when he was on a television show called 21 Jump Street, and then I moved into when he when he left the show to be a film actor, I lost my job. And so I needed to find something else. And a friend told me about like you should work in the music industry, that's where it's at. So I moved over to work in the music industry and on music videos, and then I moved to London and started, I became a record cover designer, and it was all really fun. But then as I wrote about my book, when I then I became a mother, suddenly I lost my identity because I was I was always wrapped up in like all these cool things I was doing, all the parties I was going to and all that stuff. And suddenly I'm like just at home, like pushing toys around on the floor with kids. Oh my God. And that's when I created my project me. And my project me was always meant to be something just for myself. I never imagined it was going to be for anybody else because I was still trying to get my act together. Like I never thought I would be, I never thought I'd be helping other women to get their acts together because my life felt like a hot mess. But um, through this framework that I developed, which is a, I mean, a lot of life coaches use a life wheel. It's a way of kind of checking in with different areas of your life. But I created my own, not only visually, because I'm a graphic designer, but um I added in like a couple of petals. It looks like a flower, and I added in some petals that weren't on other life wheels. And I started doing a check-in with my life every single month to see what's working, what's not, what improvements can I make. And it was that kind of looking at each area of my life, not just going, okay, my life. I was like looking at health, which is where you came in, Julie, productivity and personal growth, money, fun, work, love, health, family. So I began to break all that down and look at each area of my life individually. And then I could see, oh, okay, I'm spending too much time on that, not enough time on that. And I always say it's never about having like a perfect balance. It's not this, but it's just checking in and seeing whether your life feels balanced enough that you're not overwhelmed and you know, or some or something sliding through the cracks because you're just ignoring it until it becomes an issue. So that was when I started my own Project Me. And then in 2013, I ended up launching myprojectme.com, which is my website, my platform for helping busy mothers to use the Project Me Life Wheel tool. People still download that today, even though, and I'll talk about this, I've pivoted in my business, but I still kept that website live because I know how many people really love the blog and the Life Wheel tool, which people still download every single day. I get more signups for that Project Me Life Wheel tool. And then, of course, Julie, that's how we connected. Because I'm not sure which year it was, but you were running a program and I was running a program. And there were two women, Helen and Sophie, who were in both of our programs. Yeah. And they said, you two need to connect. And so we connected and you became the expert in the health area on the Project Me Life Wheel. And you created videos for us, and you were in my book. You're, you know, you're mentioned in my book as a resource at the end. Then you started buying books for your clients and for your friends.

SPEAKER_02

And yeah, it's really great. Yeah, it was nice to have that crossover because I was also noticing that I've had I've had a children now, and things have dramatically changed, like you, and then I was putting things in place to support myself, and then other new mums were saying, What are you doing? What what you know specifically, what are you doing? And then I created initially it was called the Yummy Mummy programme, and then I changed the name and it was called Get Back to You. So there was quite a nice alignment between b both of us, and we did end up having quite a few members on both both of our memberships at the same time, which was also nice.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was really cool.

SPEAKER_01

That's amazing. I can still feel me sat on the floor with the kids, kind of like you know, you're half not knowing what you're doing, you're half not doing what you used to do. You do completely lose yourself, and I think there's a trend, I think, that you just kind of slide along with this. So, what was it that made you stop and start to put this project in place just for you?

SPEAKER_00

It was a pivotal moment. I always remember we had just finished doing a big home renovation project, and with that, I had a one of those three ring binders, and there was a colored section for plumbing and electricity and you know, interior design and garden, all of this. And when the project was finally finished, I remember looking at that project book and thinking, gosh, if I treated my own life like I did this renovation project,

The Life Wheel Check-In Method

SPEAKER_00

and it was like ping, oh, idea. And I literally went out and got a three-ring binder with colored sections, and you know, that's how these different colors um on the life wheel developed and everything. Like it just came to me in a vision. Like, if I treat my own life like an important project, what might happen?

SPEAKER_02

Can you remember what when you did your life wheel the first time? Can you remember what section was really, oh my God, I'm not paying any attention to this. Was it fun?

SPEAKER_00

No, um, it wasn't for me. I've never been one that suffers from that. I've all I've always, it's really, I know I work with a lot of women and I I see how many just don't the fun's not there, the fun and the friendships, that kind of thing. That's never been an issue for me. If anything, it's been too much time having coffees and lunches and going out and everything, and then not enough time on other stuff. But everyone's got a different, you know, a different set of uh, you know, what they're prone to. For me, it was like too much fun. Too much fun.

SPEAKER_01

And that makes me feel so much better because I spent you're a too much fun person, aren't you? I'm like, I'm very much focused on my own well-being. So walks in the woods, I'm in the gym, I'm in the sea, I'm on my paddle board, I'm singing, I'm singing, I'm meeting with people, and I'm like, I really should earn some money at some point.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Yeah, so to answer your question, um, what really was blaringly obvious to me was that it wasn't that I was ignoring my kids, but that there were no parenting skills, things in place. And I was constantly shouting, I was, you know, threatening, you know, you're not gonna go to that birthday party if you don't, you know, whatever. Wait, when you know perfectly well you're gonna take them to the birthday party, you know, it was that whole kind of thing. And um, and that's when uh a little flyer came through my door back when people did that. This is you know, before before the internet and all that stuff, you know, maybe the internet was around, but it wasn't like now there was no social media or anything. And a flyer literally came through my door for a the parent practice with Elaine Halligan. And it was for in her home, which was I was living in Wimbledon at the time, and her home was just down the street from me. And she wanted to start an in-person parenting skills classes course. And I thought, I just literally did a life will check-in that showed that I need to get some things together with my my kids, my family life. And so I went along to that. I think it was uh how many weeks was it? I can't even remember now, but when it finished, I just started it again, like, you know, because you learn something new each time. So I just did the whole loop again, learning all the different modules again. And by the time I done it, like the next time around, they asked me if I wanted to be their assistant. Elaine asked me if I wanted to be her assistant. And I ended up assisting on several more rounds of it and just realized that when I put my attention into those kind of structural things that would help my family life to run more smoothly, like everything, the whole, the whole, all of my life started to run better. My husband and I got along better because we were being more of a united front. Um, and yeah, everything just came into went into place after doing that parenting skills class.

SPEAKER_02

I know you're very good at manifesting, but that was pretty fast, that one.

SPEAKER_00

I am in my we'll talk about it later, but uh in my soul plan, which I really want to tell you about soul plan, the work I'm doing now. I found out much later that in my soul plan, as my talent, I have manifestation and mastery, which means that I am just a natural manifester. Like as soon as I for me, it's writing it down. When I write it down, I connect to something. I can think it, and you know that doesn't really do anything. It's me writing it down. So again, it was doing that life wheel check-in, going, I need to get a handle on the on the kids and the family life and writing it all down. I want them to listen to me, I want them to behave, I want, you know, peace in our house and all of this. And then, yep, flyer comes through the door. But what I learned through that course and through the whole parent practice journey was that I thought that I wanted to change my kids. And it turned out I needed to change myself. You know, it was my whole way of how I was communicating with them. And, you know, I needed to be the one that was creating the structure and the rules and the, you know, the chores charts and the things that I wanted them to be doing instead of just nagging and being exasperated. I realized it was it was about not trying to change them, it was about changing me. And then as a way of changing me, it changed the whole family life. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

How old are your young adults now?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, Max is my eldest, and he's 26. And Marco is about to turn 24. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Didn't you used to live in Wimbledon? I used to live in Wimbledon. My eldest is 19. So perhaps we were pushing our uh buggies around uh center court about the same time.

SPEAKER_00

We might have been.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. That's a proper Mary Poppins moment, though, isn't it? That fly coming through the door.

SPEAKER_00

It didn't come to mind. This happens to me all the time. I no longer, I still wonder in it because I think it's amazing to go, wow, that happened. But it happens all the time. It's just like crazy.

SPEAKER_02

How did you end up in the UK and then in Ibiza?

SPEAKER_00

I moved to the UK from California. Like I said, I was working in the music industry and then I fell in love with a British guy. It was not my not, he didn't go on to become my husband, thank God, because he was a real uh piece of work. But I did it, it got me, you know, they say the breadcrumb trail, you know, the breadcrumb trail of life. And so the breadcrumb trail led me to London.

Parenting Skills And Fast Manifesting

SPEAKER_00

He and I split up, and then ultimately I met my husband. And then he is a DJ, he's not one of those big name DJs. He's always a DJ and had his corporate job. We love music, we love dancing, you know, we like going out. And so Ibitha called to us, you know, in in the year 2000. I still call it the year 2000. I can't just say 2000. I have to say it the year 2000. And in the year 2000, we came out to Ibitha for the first time. We just we just loved the place. We found out there's so much more to it than just the the the parties and the clubbing. It's a gorgeous island because we like hiking and we also do stand-up paddleboarding and we love all the nature and just the beautiful that there's an incredible energy here. And I didn't find out until later that it there's it's on a lot of important energetic ley lines, and so it's a very spiritual place too. It brings a lot of spiritual people. So for me, it's like the perfect balance because when I want to go out and have a dance, I can go out and have a dance. And when I want to go and do some kundalini yoga and go and do a breath work session or do any number of amazing things, I can do that. And of course, I run retreats here now and workshops and things as well. So yeah, that's what brought us over to Ibita. We didn't, we bought a holiday home here, but we didn't move here full time until after the kids left for university. So I called it the 2020 vision because we worked out that our youngest was going to be heading to university, hopefully. I mean, they were really little at the time, but we were like, you know, I wrote it down, didn't I? Like when when the youngest is at university, that's when we will move to EBFAT. We called it the 2020 vision, you know, 2020. And um, and of course, 2020 came along and there was lockdown and there was all the stuff that we'd never imagined. But incredible piece of this is that we came, there was a little bit of a, if you remember in summer of 2020, the travel ban was lifted just for a little bit in the summer, and we headed to Ibiza. And um, and we were, we, we met up with a friend who's an estate agent, and we said, it's 2020 and we need to find like where we're gonna buy for our our permanent home now. He showed us a place. I took one look at it and I was like, it needs too much work. That renovation project that I'd done in Wimbledon all those years ago. I said, never ever again, never again. So we were looking for something that was more of a new build. We wanted to just move right into something and have it just be like not have to do anything. And this guy showed us this house, which was a complete renovation project. I didn't even take my camera out of the bag because I was like, I'm not taking a picture of this place, I'm not interested. And so, fast forward to a couple months later, we drop our youngest off at university in Manchester. And it's COVID. We can't even bring him into the dorm. It's masked, you know, we have to put all the boxes kind of outside and like kind of bye. And we checked into a hotel because we didn't want to drive all the way back down to London in the same day that we'd driven up. So we are at the hotel. They say, Oh, your room's not quite ready for you yet. Um, but we'll give you a complimentary glass of wine while you wait for your room to be ready. So we're at the bar having a glass of wine and we're toasting each other, like, got the youngest one off to university. We're empty nesters, you know, we're toasting each other. And I'm not kidding you. Husband's phone goes, he gets a call from that estate agent who says, I forgot to tell you one piece of the story. He Lucas had to put an offer in on that house, even though I didn't want to, put in a really, really, really low offer. And I'm going, well, if oh, and he goes, That way we would pay for a building manager, someone someone could manage the whole renovation project or whatever. The owner, rightfully so, was offended by the offer because it was so low. You know, it was kind of stupidly low, but I was relieved. I was like, okay, good. He didn't accept the offer. So now back to the bar. He gets a call from the estate agent that says he's changed his mind. He's now accepting your offer. Wow. When we had just toasted becoming empty nesters, we had the 2020 vision. We were like, well, we don't have the house yet, but you know, we couldn't have imagined COVID and all this. COVID helped us to get the house for this crazy low price because the guy, you know, I don't know what happened, but he needed the money. And so we we got this house and it's our dream house. And yeah, the renovation project took a couple of years, but we hired people, we hired good people, and um, and it's really truly our dream house. That's amazing, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

That is that's totally amazing. I love those moments, they're just incredible. A friend of mine that I did my subconscious transformation training with always talks about these moments that she's had in her life, just based on one was around a house that they went to go and look at. She said she wasn't even looking to buy a new house or wasn't even looking to move. And I can't remember how they ended up in the house with the estate agent, but they were stood there, her, her husband, and the estate agent, and a dragonfly came in and landed in the middle of them. And her husband went, Oh well, that's that, then we're buying the house. I love that spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

I love it, I love it. Yeah, I really find that the more we are paying attention to the little synchronicities and the little signs, there's always signs, synchronicities, coincidences. And I I use inverted commas when I say coincidence because I don't believe anything is really a coincidence. Um, and that there is always a breadcrumb

Ibiza And The 2020 Vision

SPEAKER_00

trail being laid out for us if we're paying attention. And if we're too busy all the time and we're just busying ourselves and we're doing this, we're doing it, we can we can miss the signs. And so when you set your intention, you can even write it down in your journal or something and just say, show me the breadcrumb trail, show me the sign. If there's something that you that you want an answer to, you can go out into nature, set the intention before you head out for your walk and show me a sign. And you and just don't have your earbuds in, don't be, you know, listening to something else. Just you'll you'll find the sign. You'll find the sign.

SPEAKER_02

I like writing down a question before I go to bed to ask for the answer while I'm asleep. You know, if there's something that I'm not sure I should do this, or what should I do, or I'm looking for something, but I don't know what it is, and you write it down and then you go to bed. And the number of times that you wake up and you've got or you're shown something, it's incredible how that works. I'm always fascinated by that.

SPEAKER_00

That's great that you do that as a practice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Have you ever done that, Katarina?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Or just I've often I've asked, I think my husband, well, I was gonna say he might think I'm crazy, but no, he doesn't. I'll say it, I'll say it out loud just as I'm going to bed. Like if there's a question that's that I need the answer to, I'll say it out loud just as I'm going to bed. And then yeah, often, or you'll dream it. That's I for sometimes I think that, yeah. And draw just sort of sort it through in your head.

SPEAKER_00

That's amazing. Absolutely. I keep a dream journal for that reason because sometimes you just be like, oh, that dream didn't mean anything. And again, if you just lay in bed thinking about it, you're like, that was just nonsense, and it just kind of disappears. But if you just as soon as you wake up, have that dream dream journal handy and just start writing down what came through without you know thinking about what it means, then sometimes it's not immediately afterwards, but I'll go back to my dream journal like a week later and just read read through the dreams I had over the past week and suddenly I'm like, oh, oh, that's what that meant. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we've kind of almost uh digressed into inner world here. So let's go to the inner world because I know when you first set out with your Project Me, you got your petals, and and we were talking about the design of that, and then you had that circle in the middle, that's kind of where you are now, isn't it? You've moved from that external things to what's going on inside. And I know some people that have been on your retreat and have spoken about connecting with your inner self and the importance of that with your soul plan stuff. So tell us a bit about that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so

Signs Dreams And Breadcrumb Trails

SPEAKER_00

I I discovered that once I got my outer world into a good sense of order by doing the Project Me Life, we'll check in every month consistently, seeing what's working, seeing what's not, and I call that your outer world. And then I began to really, the space opened up for me to begin to really go into my inner world. That's when I got a meditation practice going. That's when I began really opening myself up to understanding myself, my emotions, started learning about energy and realizing that we we are energy, like we are vibrational beings. And I kind of heard that term, but didn't really understand what it meant. And then I think it was 2017. I went on, was it 20? I think it was 2017, I went on a transformational breathwork session one-on-one with somebody in London. I'd never done it before, but her, she was on the same publisher as I was. And I just wanted to talk to her because I was writing my book and I just wanted to pick her brain about the book. But I thought the easiest way to do it is to book in a breath work session with her and then kind of slide in there and ask her. And so um I started asking her, you know, but you've got the same editor as me. Are we just started asking her book stuff? She answered my questions and then she said, Okay, so what do you want to work on today? And I realized I hadn't come in with anything that I really wanted to work on. Like I just wanted to find out about the book. And so I out of my mouth came, I want to understand myself as a vibrational being. And even as it came out of my mouth, I thought, I don't even know what I'm saying. And I thought, you know, and she said, Okay, well, all right, that's the intention. So let's see what happens. And have you have you guys ever done breath work? Like a not breath work as in pranayama or anything, but where you lay down and a practitioner takes you through it all? With both trained in practice, both trained, yes. Oh my gosh. So you're totally on board with this. Yes. And and um, during this session, I completely left my my physical body. I mean, I Went off somewhere else and I became pure love and light and energy. And it was almost like I was shown instead of like, like um, you know, with my brain, instead of having to figure out what does it mean to be a vibrational being, I was just shown what it feels like experientially. And I came out of that session just vibrating, like everything was vibrating. I was like, whoa, we sat together afterwards, and I said, wow, I can't believe it. Like I I understand now. We're all energy. And when we die, we return to energy. And when people die, their energy is still with us. That's what's meant by that people don't really leave us and that they and that they go to heaven is like source energy. And it was just like this whole, all this information had come through to me. And that was like transformational. And then I began running my high vibe journey program, and that was teaching all the women who'd done my my other programs, which were about finding a happier balance and everything, who would have, by their own admission, they would have not been interested in this if somebody else was running it, because they would have been like, oh, what is this? It's a bit whatever. But because they trusted me, because I'd I'd taken them on this other journey that like I ran it for 12 women in the beginning. And I was like, this is about understanding yourself as energy and in a really easy, practical way, because that's the way I do everything. It's not, I don't do things in a really out there way. So I began teaching women to understand that their emotions are carrying a vibrational frequency and how whatever they're if they check in with how they're feeling. So before it was checking in with your outer world, now it's checking in with your inner world. How am I feeling? And I gave them a little chart and they could see if they're feeling kind of a high vibrational emotions or lower vibrational frequencies and how they can lift themselves up higher by choosing better feeling thoughts. And you know, it's it's a whole kind of process, but these women were telling more women, and I began running that program back to back over and over and over and over again for several years. And that was when finally, in I think it was 2022 or 2023, I decided I don't want to be talking about busy life for a balanced life for busy mothers anymore. I want to be totally talking about this, which meant, you know, leaving that other website running, but starting KellyPitrangley.com. And that was me offering myself as you know, my new services and offerings.

SPEAKER_02

I need to go on a slight, a slight tangent for energy. I'm a science person and I love science. And the amount of times I say to my kids, especially my daughter who doesn't really enjoy chemistry, I'm like, chemistry is keeping you alive. I'm like, no this. But the fact that energy doesn't die, it can't be created. It is, and that is so amazing. The vibrational side of things I find really fascinating with the in the world that we're in, with regards

Breathwork And Living As Energy

SPEAKER_02

to things like 5G all around us. I mean, in Ibiza, because I've heard that there's a lot of good energy there, do you have, are you away from some of that stuff? But do you have any opinion on all of that 5G stuff and how it impacts impacts us?

SPEAKER_00

So we had done a little rabbit hole with it back in I can't remember which year it was, and then I got completely and utterly berated by my husband and by everybody going, oh, you're just the conspiracy theory that 5G is, you know, da da da. And I kind of went, I was just so kind of like shut down on it. And so I just ended up not looking into it anymore. And it hasn't really affected my energy, and I no longer hear people talking about it the way they used to. I don't think it's healthy to be living near a 5G phone mask that's shown, you know, or any kind of mask like that with with giving out a frequency because that's when you get a lot more incidents of cancer and things like that. So I would never want something like that in my backyard. But it's I kind of let go of that and I've learned how to protect my energy. So I've got little energy protection practices that I do when I go out into the world. And yeah, I haven't really focused on that anymore. I'm just really taking control of my own energy, my own frequency, and not really getting afraid of you know what else is out there and just knowing that if I set my intention that I'm protected, and every morning I say, I, you know, I am clear, I am protected, I am guided, you know. So I give myself a kind of protective shield around myself that makes me not in a in a shield as in other people can't get in, but it's just the energetic shield, if that makes any sense.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it really does. I mean, during in COVID, I was really grateful for the fact that I was someone that didn't buy into the fear. And there seems to have been since then, there's constant fear, isn't there? There's there's wars, there's pandemics, there's this constant fear, and what that does to uh the human body is uh it's so detrimental. So being able to rise up above that and be in a higher

Fear News And Energy Protection

SPEAKER_02

vibration is is really key. And we've spoken about that before, haven't we? Yeah. About that just not going down that route of fear. It doesn't help anyone. So with the people that you work with, do you see that a lot? That there is a lot of fear, and people are generally in that lower vibration.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, a lot of people are, and I do really raise awareness about that because there is a collective energy and it's you know, the the news. I do not watch the news. I subscribe to something that gives me in written form what a little snippet about what's going on in the world. And if I want to read more, I can click and then I can read more about that story, but I do not visually watch the news because two things are happening when you're visually, you're getting the the commentator, their their their energy and the way their that their perspective is on it. You know, that can be especially, oh, in America, when I go back to America, the news readers there, they're just so sensationalist in the way that they speak to each other. But I'm seeing it creep into, you know, when I do occasionally, my husband will be watching the news or something. I'm seeing it creeping into British news as well. Whereas I used to think that it was much more neutral. I don't, I don't watch the news. I now realize that if there is a news story that I, my husband's got the news on, and I find myself walking by and then watching something like when the California fires happened, because it was where I used to live, and then I got sucked into it. And then I had to look every day, what's going on with the fires? What's happening with the fires? Whereas if I was just reading about it, I would be educated, I would know what was happening, but I wouldn't be energetically, you know, engaged in all that. And another thing that I do is when I read about something devastating or horrific that's happening in the world, rather than if I find myself going into those lower vibrational frequencies of worry or anger or the anything that can be triggered by that, I really, because I'm so emotionally aware, check in with myself all the time, I then choose instead to just pause for a moment and send out like a positive visualization of peace or a positive visualization of you know that working out, you know, like that kind of a thing. Because I really believe in that. And I believe the more of us who are, instead of going down the downward spiral of fear and everything, if we have positive expectation and hope and you know, courage and all of that, I really believe that that's that's the best thing we can be doing for the world. That's so lovely, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

Because I mean, at the end of the day, when you see those awful news stories, there's nothing that you can do about it. And so choosing to yeah, send send love out there and send a positive visualization that hopefully is going to affect at least people within your vicinity is just a great way of starting to kind of lift the vibe everywhere, yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

And I was thinking about how it isn't that you're being some people would think that you're being really passive, oh, you're just being toxic positivity and all of that. I've really thought about that, I've really gone into it. Is it just me going, I don't want to know about that? And so I'm just gonna send love and light over there and not get involved. But now that I've done enough people's soul plan readings, I see that some people are here to be activists. Some people are here to be down in the dirt and to be on the ground, you know, like like they are the ones that are meant to be and they're made up of something different from other people. They can go in there, they can go into those situations and they can be, they can bring a peaceful energy in by going in. Whereas some of us would go in there and it would just, it would just screw us up, right? You know, because we would just be like, oh my God, I can't go into that war zone or I can't go into that extreme poverty and devastation. But some people, you know, you think, wow, they're made of something different. And then there's activists too, the ones who go and are campaigning for change and all of that. It's in their soul plan. It's in their soul plan. So that made me feel a lot better. Like I know my soul plan and I know that that's not what I'm meant to be doing. I am actually meant to be sending out the vibration of love and positivity. It's actually right there in my soul plan. So I'm like, okay, okay, I'm good, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think we need to know more about what a soul plan is. I feel like I feel like I want a soul plan. Do you have a soul plan and soul plan?

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh, I wish everybody would have a soul plan. If we all knew what it was, we would be staying in our own lane, we'd be doing what we're meant to be doing, what we're good at. And we wouldn't be trying to be good at everything because we're not all meant to be good at everything. We wouldn't be beating ourselves up for what somebody else is good at that we're not. Um, so

Soul Plan Readings And Purpose

SPEAKER_00

Soul Plan came into my life in 2020. I have a podcast called the Project Me Podcast. And in that podcast, I share a different story every episode about the breadcrumb trail of the woo-woo, like following the woo-woo breadcrumb trail, because I didn't used to be into this stuff. I really wasn't. And so I just started to look back, like, well, how did I get how did I get into this? And so episode one is, oh, that's that book I read that suddenly opened me up to this. Episode two is oh, emotional acupuncture that I had to get over my abusive ex. Then the next episode, and it it and every time I shared a story, I started helping me to realize how this has happened in my own life. It's been very healing for me. And it's now number two in podcasts worldwide, people love the stories. But for me, it's been this journey. So I started going to different healing modalities and talking about them on my podcast. What's what did I find amazing? 2020, somebody on Instagram, I'm a soul plan practitioner. I will help you to find out what your soul destiny is and your talents and everything. I thought, yeah, I can do this session and I can then talk about it on my podcast, you know, like I love to do that. So I booked in for a session with her. And oh my goodness, all she needed was my name on my birth certificate, not my date of birth, not my place of birth, just the name on my birth certificate. And I had to find my birth certificate because the name on my birth certificate, I've never met my father and I've never used that name. And I said, I explained to her, I go, Well, I've never used that name. She goes, Nope, it's the name on your birth certificate. Does not matter. It's the name on your birth certificate. So I had to find it, make sure I had the spelling correct. And I submitted it to her. Then she took a couple of days and she created my chart, and then we booked him for the Zoom session. And everything, when she said, These are the challenges that you came into this lifetime to experience. It was exactly what my biggest challenges have been. And then she said, These are your talents. This is what you're here to do. In both the there's you look at the chart from the worldly, like kind of the outer world and also spiritual. And my outer world talent is it's all about the spreading positivity and spreading joy and everything. And that was an intangible talent for me to have. And she said that can be a difficult one for people sometimes because it isn't like you should be a nurse or you should be a doctor or a lawyer or an activist or a whatever. It's a really, you know, it's one, and I always felt like maybe I'm too much for people. Maybe I'm too positive all the time, you know, and I was always dimming to fit in. And as soon as I found out I'm here to share, I'm here to share what I know, I'm here to whatever. It was like everything clicked into place for me, and I no longer like, you know, turned down the volume on my positivity. And um I learned so much about my soul destiny. I learned that I'm here to bring groups of people together and to be it to to be facilitating groups. I always shied away from group anything. I always said, Oh, I don't like, I don't like a party, but I meant like um bringing having people around when you do like a sharing circle. If it would get to me, I would just be like, I I I hated it, absolutely hated it. And then when I realized like that's what I'm here to do and what I'm here to be, I started going, okay, I'm here to work in groups. And then yeah, everything started to really come alive for me in the most amazing way. So I then went on to become a soul pan practitioner myself. And I've done probably over 250 people's charts right now. And it's it's your name on your birth certificate. It's just there's like don't know how, don't know why, but it is.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. I love it. That's absolutely amazing. As you were saying it, it sounded a little bit like it's got elements of human design in it as well.

SPEAKER_00

Is that yeah, it doesn't and it does and doesn't in the sense of do you know how human design was channeled through by somebody? Here in Ibiza, actually. I don't know if you know that, but there was a guy here in Ibiza, and he went out for the day. When he came back, his light was on under in his little cottage. He could see a light under the door, and he thought, I didn't leave the light on. And he went inside, and as the story goes, he doesn't remember what happened for the next few days. And when he kind of came to, all around him were writings in his handwriting, all the human design stuff. So it it's like it it just channeled through, came through to him. Human design is is one way of understanding yourself. And I and I have I've had my human design reading and I geeked out on that for a long time. And I still, it's really helped me to understand things about myself. And then another modality that was channeled through was soul plan by a man called Dr. Frank Elper. And he again suddenly all this information came through. He's writing everything down and had to try to make sense of it. So yeah, I really believe that what's happening is that we have we're the human race, we need to like expedite our understanding of things because we're we we're moving into new new ways now. We have to get out of the old loops, the things that have been repeating for so long. And now the more people that are are figuring out these things about themselves, the way that the way that we can like activate our our energies and stop repeating those old patterns.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. The sooner we all work that out, the sooner people are gonna stop trying to blow each other up.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Exactly. Yeah, that's where I really like get a human design reading, get a soul plan reading, do things that are gonna help you to understand yourself and like you know, elevate yourself into higher understandings.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. I feel like you kind of almost knew a lot of this and it gave you the permission to then just like let it go.

SPEAKER_00

That is always what happens in a soul plan reading. It's always like, oh, I I wanted to do that, but my parents told me I needed to do that, but I always wanted to do that. Or it's um, I yeah, I know that about myself, and people tell me that I'm I'm really good at that, but then it becomes activated. I call it almost like if you had a bottle of fizzy, you know, soda of some sort. You know how it can just be flat? The soda is in there, but it's just flat, or you can shake it up and you can like give it energy. That's what happens when people have a soul plan reading is those kind of flat, dormant energies that are in them that they know is there, they get activated and suddenly it's like, oh my god, they feel fizzy and alive. And yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I mean, who doesn't want to feel fizzy and alive, right? Yeah. But I think I also think that like life lifes on people and they get and they get kind of pushed down, pushed down, pushed down. And I think you get to the point that you think that's normal, or it's gonna take a lot of energy to kind of get get shaken back up again.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think if you're approaching it from old ways of doing, of trying to fix things, that you will just end up in loops again. But now we're able to understand ourselves as energy, understand a lot more about our inner world, try all these different healing modalities and different things that are out there to help us, and it can be so much faster now. I'm now training in something called quantum healing, and I'm loving it. You can go and talk about your problems, you can go to a therapist. And I think that talk therapy and counseling and everything is good for bringing things to the surface because otherwise things are bare and you don't even know what you're working on. Bring it to the surface and then go and see somebody who can actually just eliminate it from your entire system

Healing Modalities To Break Old Loops

SPEAKER_00

like that. You know, these guys don't have come and see me again next Thursday at the same time for the for the next five years. This is like have one session with me and that is that's gone. Isn't that amazing?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, it's it is fantastic. It is the more that we know and the more that we work with the subconscious and are able to just kind of like fiddle and eliminate the bits that are not serving us anymore and really raise up and vibrate the bits that are that are good for us and the rest of the world, yeah, all the better.

SPEAKER_02

I think most of us do, even when we are dampening it down, we do know deep down that something's off, don't we? We definitely feel it. We do we definitely know, but I think a lot of the time, especially with women, we have so much going on all the time that we ignore those little signs, don't we? I mean, there's so much done about suppressing emotions and it comes out as disease later on. There's such a massive link between that, isn't there?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's that whole book, right? The body keeps the score. That's an amazing book. Yeah, and it just shows you whenever there's something going on, it has something to do with thought pattern or a repeated something energetically that's being blocked. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, you've worked with women for a long time now, and I know that you've always prioritized your own well-being. And you're are you 60 now?

SPEAKER_00

I'm turning 60 in August.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. So that's you know, that's a big milestone, isn't it? How do you feel about it? Are you good?

SPEAKER_00

I feel really good, but I've always been the kind of person that's been okay with my age. I've never, I remember turning 30, and a lot of my friends were like, oh my God, we're turning 30. And I was like, What? You know, and don't you look at it now if you were one of those people that was when you were turning 30 or

Sweet 60 And Osteoporosis Wake-Up

SPEAKER_00

when you were turning 40? It's like, you know, and my philosophy has always been that one day you're gonna look back on the age that you are now and you're gonna think you looked amazing. You you you're just gonna wish that you that you hadn't been wanting to be any different than you are, that you hadn't been you're you're fighting against reality. You're you're gonna you're gonna get older. So it's just just no point. Yeah. So I'm calling it my sweet 60. Um, my sweet 16, it's like a plan, sweet 16. It's my sweet 60, and um, yeah, having a party here in Ibifa with my friends, and I'm so looking forward to it. My husband's gonna DJ, and our eldest son is a DJ too in Brussels, and he's flying in and he's gonna he's gonna DJ as well. So super excited.

SPEAKER_01

That that's cool, isn't it? Very, very cool.

SPEAKER_00

Ellie is so cool. You know, I will say something though, and that was that um I had the whole full MOT a couple of years ago, and my bone density scan showed osteoporosis and not just not just um what's the one before osteoporosis? Oteopina. Yeah, I did not osteopena, but like full-blown osteoporosis, like deep, deep in on the you know, the red thing was like, whoa, I was like, yeah, okay, what do I need to do? And at the time I was living in Madrid, and it was a Spanish guy who didn't speak very good English. We were trying to, I don't understand terminology like this in Spanish, and he just gave me a leaflet and I walked away with this leaflet that was basically saying, eat more calcium, eat these cheeses, have more prunes, have Brazil nuts. And I naively just thought, okay, I need to eat Brazil nuts and prunes. And I just started doing that. Went back from my scan the following year, thinking, okay, this is gonna, I'm gonna show improvement. It was worse the following year. And that's when I went, yeah, okay, now I need to take this seriously. And um started listening to podcasts about it, started really educating myself about it and learning that I needed to do heavy weights because I was going to the gym and just you know, putting the weights in, doing like, you know, 12 reps of something three times, moving to the next one, doing three, you know, the little, you know, yeah, exactly. And there's one hour. And I'm like, okay, I'm out of here. And so in January of this year, my husband and I decided that we would hire a personal trainer. We thought we were just gonna do it for a few weeks just to learn technique and everything, but he's amazing. And I I'm lifting really heavy now, like heavier than I ever would have imagined. And um, I haven't had this. My next scan is gonna be in October of where are we at now of this year? And so uh, but I'm doing I'm doing that, I'm taking creatine, I'm upping my protein. I realized I wasn't having nearly enough protein. I mean, I would have a salad and I'd take a tin of tuna and kind of stick that in there and you know, think that that was my my protein, you know. And um, so now um what I was doing this morning um was after my workout, I took a bunch of chicken breasts and I um, you know, gonna marinated them and I'm gonna cook them. I just want to have like things in the freezer so I could just like have slice, have that pre-sliced, put that in the salad, because you know you're having a busy day. And I just would oftentimes open the fridge and be like, oh, I don't have time to do anything. So I'm getting so much more proactive now about that.

SPEAKER_02

We can say on the screen that you have been lifting heavy. Yeah, I mean, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I said to my trainer, I don't want to have one of those bodies. I don't actually like those kind of snooy bodies that that you know, the women where they're just it's all kind of muscle, there's kind of skinny with muscle. Like, I don't actually like that look personally. And so I told him, like, I'm Not after that. I don't want to have the kind of veins, you know, that kind of a thing. And so it's really hard to achieve that though. Yes. You told me because you'd have to really have like, oh, I'm too afraid of like having that kind of a body. And he said, no, that's not going to happen. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That is a barrier though to women lifting weights, is that they don't want to bulk up. Me and my husband hear that so frequently that I don't want to bulk up. And you're like, well, you know, if you're going to spend every minute in the kitchen sorting out your nutrition, there may be a danger of that. But other than that, you couldn't.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was a real eye-opener for me because I think one of the reasons I didn't put heavier weights on at the gym was I didn't want to bulk up. I didn't want to have little arms that were big, legs, you know, like thighs that were big and everything. And now I'm realizing now that we are, gosh, six months into our training, that it's just, it's, it's just making me feel very strong. And yeah, it's it's good.

SPEAKER_02

Ah, it's brilliant. I've got some questions for you, given that you've worked with all these women. And I expect women, the age that people tend to follow, well, I find this myself. Like I used to, a bit like you, I used to work with the new mums and the kids, and then I and then it moved up. And then I was, you know, I work with a lot more teenagers now because I've got teenagers, and then the women are kind of like a few steps behind

Time Busyness And Doing Nothing

SPEAKER_02

me. So I expect you experience the same sort of thing. But my questions are what from your perspective, because like you said, you've done like 250 soul plans now. What are women avoiding when they say they don't have time? Because this is the time thing is a big thing, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's interesting. What are they avoiding? I've never really thought about that. Well, maybe it's just avoiding. Uh uh it's just this this chronic busyness where people do if they look at their to-do list, it's never ending. And so they just think that they have to keep going, keep going, keep going. And I've realized that the three most important things that you need to get done that day from your from that, I keep a separate to-do list, which I call the master to-do list. And then that one is not the one that you're looking at every day because otherwise you're just looking at this long list, you're taking it, you're seeing what else you didn't get done. I look at the master to do list, and then I use a design my day action sheet, which is on the myprojectme.com website. I've got a whole bunch of free action sheets there, and I still use these. And I I write out what my three MITs are, my three most important tasks. From that long list of everything I could be doing, I just picked the three things. I feel such a sense of achievement when I've done those three things. And then if I have time to do something else, I can, but otherwise, I will go and do something for myself. I'll go and meditate, or I'll work on a course that I want to finish, or I'll do something that's, you know, for just for me. So did that answer your question? What are they afraid of? Afraid of not getting it all done? Afraid of um, they don't know people women, a lot of people just don't know how to how to just be. They're just, you know, they call it the doing and the being. You know, there's all there's they're always wanting to be doing and not really being comfortable with just being. A lot of women find it very hard to just relax if there's still stuff that needs to get done. But there's always gonna be more stuff that needs to get done. So you just need to kind of learn to learn to balance the doing with the being.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's really important. A few weeks ago, we did the do nothing. I saw that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was I didn't join it because I got no problem with that. It's not a challenge for me.

SPEAKER_02

No, but it's a massive challenge for the vast majority of people, and we were having a discussion before we did that challenge. How long should we build up to? And we did 15 minutes, and I was thinking it wasn't enough. You were desperate to make it much longer, yeah. And you were like, hang a minute, because the they're gonna struggle with it, and people did, didn't they? They struggled. We literally started off with a minute and we were only aiming for 15 minutes, Kelly, and people were like, Oh my god, 15 minutes of doing nothing. This is too.

SPEAKER_00

So during the doing nothing, you meant sit down, um, to close your eyes, or or look outside, or or you that you yeah, just look outside. Yeah, that's wonderful that you're doing that. And how tell me about the experience of the women who did that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think that it was quite eye-opening. That the struggle to do nothing was so huge, wasn't it? Yeah. And then it was just the quietening that people got and the realization that I just don't give myself a break ever. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. I am gonna make sure that are you gonna do it again? Yeah, I'm still when I see that I'm on your newsletter list. When I see that come around again, I'm gonna get my Soul Explorers members to do it. Yeah. Uh-huh. I'm always I'm always trying to get everybody to just give themselves more time and everything. But if you got a challenge, everybody likes a good challenge, and that the do nothing challenge, they'll sign up for it because it sounds so easy, and then they'll see some of them will see the challenge. I love this, Julie.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was it was it's very eye-opening. So it really is. I think the fact that they struggled was really eye-opening for them, wasn't it? Yeah. And tying in with that, and you're talking about like the things to do list, is I kind of felt like when you said that, there's a like, how would they feel if they got to the end of the things to do list? Like, if that things to do list was actually blank, they would be like, yeah, panic. Oh, yeah. What like what do I do now? I've got to now actually kind of what sit with myself or do something for myself. It's like they wouldn't know what to do with themselves, so they've got to keep this constant things to do list, and it's a part of their almost like tied in with their identity and their self-worth. If they've not got loads of things to do and tick off the list, who even are they? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's what they're avoiding. That's what they're avoiding in the in the being busy all the time is that time with yourself because you have to listen to the things that are going on in your head, and it does give your brain time to process and point things out to you that maybe you're not in a place where you want to really know that.

SPEAKER_00

I've got an action sheet on the myprojectme.com website that you've just reminded me of. And you guys are welcome to use it as a resource. Like you could link to it. It's called the Me Time Action Sheet, and it says, What would I do if I had? I think the first one is what would I do if I had 10 minutes to myself? What would I do if I had half an hour? What would I do if I had an hour? What would I do if I had a whole day? And it's meant to be that if you write down the things that you would love to do, like you know, and if you're really busy and you go, gosh, I never have time to finish that online course, or I never have time to uh so many different things for anybody, I never have time to read during the day. I never have time. If you write those things down in that sheet, then when you find yourself with those those little pieces of time, so no, it's not the do nothing, because this is doing something, but it's just that doing something for me as opposed to just getting stuff done, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. And if you suddenly find yourself with that moment of time, there is there's either a panic or a like, what could I, what could I do with this bit of time? What could I do? Or the other thing is end up you end up picking up your phone and just like doom scrolling. That 10, 15 minutes is gone and you've done it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I think this is the the biggest time zapper of our general, you know, our society right now, you know, is just we didn't used to have this phone where we could just go on and click on Instagram and get caught down the the whole thing or Facebook or whatever anyone's favorite time suck is. It's just so it's designed to suck us in. And yeah, and so that's what happens is people go, they've got 10 minutes, they've got five minutes, they've got 15 minutes, and it's just wild away by just scrolling. And then they wonder why they never had time to read the book or finish the online course they signed up for, or any of that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's so true. One of the ladies at the stables and my daughter does horse riding, one lady's at the stables, she's been checking all of the phones of the kids to see what their their average time is on their phone. And one of them was 17 hours. What in a day? A day. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So it's the time the number of times you pick up your phone, was it that one, or was it the oh my goodness?

SPEAKER_02

When when you're on your phone, 17 hours, and then she looked at she looked at mine, and my average over a week was one hour and 47 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

That's incredibly low.

SPEAKER_02

That's what she that that's what she said. And she said, Why are you not how are you what she couldn't, she couldn't it like her brain couldn't work it out. And I said to her, because I am training gymnastics, I'm talking to people, I'm cooking, I'm I don't have time to be on my phone. So it was just really funny. But yeah, you're right, it's such a suck of time, isn't it? And a waste of time. Yeah. Well, I feel like we could talk for a long time, but we need to we need to close out our our session.

SPEAKER_01

So I've got one really important question. Go for it. Are you still in touch with Johnny Depp?

SPEAKER_00

No, we lost touch as a matter of fact, during that whole um what are name herd and depth trial thing. Everyone wanted me to weigh in at what do you think? What do you think? And I'm like, I not it's not just um, I don't think about it at
