Hi Dr. Frieman, My name is Dr. Garrett Stutson. I graduated from Palmer with your daughter, Emily. Honestly, if it weren’t for her, I would probably still be taking biochemistry. Your podcast has been extremely helpful in changing my perspective on chiropractic, practice ownership, and the business side of the profession. I am currently about 15 episodes into the 137-episode catalog and have already learned a great deal. After graduation, I began working for a corporate personal-injury practice. Unfortunately, the experience burned me out and took away much of the passion I originally had for chiropractic and helping people. I recently submitted my 90-day notice and am now preparing to open my own practice. My plan is to start a mobile, concierge-style chiropractic practice, traveling to patients’ homes, neighborhoods, farms, and potentially equestrian facilities. I live in Ocala—the Horse Capital of the World—so I believe there may be a unique opportunity to serve that community. I chose the mobile model rather than immediately opening a brick-and-mortar office because I do not want to overleverage myself with additional debt. My goal is to keep my overhead low, establish a strong patient base, and eventually transition into renting a physical space.
