If you’re stuck in overthinking today, I want you to hear this: action creates clarity—not the other way around.

We wait until we feel totally clear before making a move. But the truth? Waiting often keeps us spinning.

According to a study from Cornell University, the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions a day. When you’re running a business? That number only goes up. Every post, offer, platform, email, tech tool, caption, launch plan—it’s all a decision.

No wonder you feel overwhelmed.

But here’s what I want you to remember:

👉🏼 Momentum creates clarity. Not the other way around.

We think we need to know before we act. But most of the time, it’s acting that helps us know.

So in today’s episode, I’m giving you a short but powerful push to help you break out of analysis paralysis and start making clear, aligned decisions that actually move your business forward.

PODCAST INTRO + MUSIC | ~15 sec]

Hey y’all welcome back. Before we get into decision making, I have just a couple announcements. This is live on April 7th, so if you’re listening to this in the future, some of these details may be updated. But yes y’all we’re living in wild times and I know you’re feeling it because…. You’re alive! So, but let the turbulence be an opportunity to practice finding your entrepreneurial legs. Two things, I have going on - one is that I’m going to be teaching a FREE short class about setting up your email funnel, next week on Weds April 16th at 7 pm ET so if you’re still not using email to propel your business and make sales, this is for you to learn the strategy and wrap your head around the overall flow of what it looks like to do that. And I have two 1:1 coaching spots open this month. If you’ve been listening to this podcast and you’re ready to stop circling around your ideas and actually build the next phase of your business—with clarity, structure, and support—this is your invitation.

My private coaching clients get personalized strategy, messaging support, funnel-building help, mindset mentorship, and weekly accountability. If you’ve been trying to go it alone and you’re ready for real progress, just DM me “READY” on Instagram or check the link in the show notes. Let’s make this season the one where it all clicks.

All right, let’s talk about decisions.

So I want to invite you into a quick thought experiment.

Think of a time in your business when you made a quick decision because the stakes were low.

Maybe you picked a Canva template for a promo post. Or signed up for a free trial of something you’d been curious about. Maybe you just finally hit publish on a post that had been sitting in your drafts for days.

You didn’t overthink. You didn’t second-guess. You just acted.

And what happened next? You created something. You got a response. You sparked momentum.

How did that feel?

Light? Energized? Productive? Like maybe… you remembered that you actually like running your business?

That’s the power of deciding—even in small ways.
And when you stack those low-stakes moves, the big clarity you’ve been waiting for? It shows up.

Okay, so what do you do when you feel frozen in indecision?
Here are three daily practices I recommend to every client:

  1. Create a decision deadline.
Give yourself a timer. One hour, one day, even 10 minutes. Just commit to deciding by that time. It removes the pressure of perfection.

  2. Take a micro-action.
Don’t know which course platform to use? Sign up for one and try it.
Stuck on an offer? Write a “rough draft” of the sales page.
     Action breeds information.

  3. Ask a better question.
Instead of “What’s the right decision?” try:
👉🏼 “What would move me one step closer to my goal today?”
That’s it. That’s your real compass.

And if you’re thinking: But Deborah… what if I choose wrong?

Let me tell you this: there are no wrong decisions. Only data.

You either get the result you hoped for, or you get the lesson that sharpens your next move.

Clarity lives on the other side of action—not in the overthinking.

So my invitation to you is simple: make one decision today. Even if it’s a small one.

Post the thing. Try the tool. Send the email. Say yes. Say no. Just decide something.

And if you want support deciding what comes next for you—and you’re craving a partner to walk with you through the messy middle of building your business—come apply for 1:1 coaching. DM me the word “READY” on Instagram, and I’ll send you the details.

As always, if this episode gave you a boost, I’d be so grateful if you’d rate or review the podcast. And you can do that if you’re logged in to Apple Podcasts or on Spotify by clicking on the page where you’re listening and scroll down to the bottom where you see Star ratings, usually there’s a little link right there that says Rate, or Review and you can just click right there.

Thank you, in advance, for taking time to do that. It really helps me reach more business owners and help them take action.

keep showing up, keep choosing forward, and remember—the magic? It’s in the doing.Until next time, may you be vibrant!
