Today I'm offering a whole new perspective on what your symptoms really mean because once you learn to read the signs, you start trusting your body and stop fearing it. 


Welcome back to Embrace Your Healing Journey. My name is Anindita and I'm a functional medicine certified health coach and practitioner. And in today's episode, I want to show you why your symptoms are far from being random. In fact, they are not just noises or nuisances, they are your body's way of pointing you towards what's really going on in your body. You will learn how to shift from frustration and fear to clarity and confidence, simply by learning how to listen to your what your body is trying to tell you.

 If you have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or dismissed, this episode might just be the compass that you have been waiting for. And I know this because I have lived it. Many years ago, when my daughter was severely ill. I was desperate for answers. I used to ask the doctors every day, why did she have this issue? Why did she have such severe eczema when others around her, you know, even if they had it, they were so mild and the doctors did not really have an answer. All they gave me were labels and not explanations. They could tell me what she had, but they could never tell me why she had it. 

And it wasn't until I started exploring, researching, and eventually started listening to her symptoms as signals that I figured out, you know, that we were treating these symptoms as enemies, that I figured out what was really going on, and everything started to shift. I actually understood that her severe eczema was a result of poor, poor gut health. And since over 70% of our immune system resides in our gut. Any imbalances there can show up in surprising and seemingly disconnected ways. And I've done episodes on gut health before. I'm going to share them in the show notes. So in my daughter's case, and in your case and my client's cases, her symptoms were not random. They were a road map. And you see, our genes determine the weakest link in our chain. And that's usually where the you know, the problem health, the symptoms can show up. And in her case, it was a skin. And it's the same thing that I have seen in my clients over the years. It's the same thing for everyone else. 


So in today's episode, I want to show you how your body talks to you and how the symptoms that you have been taught to fear or silence are actually the guide that you have been waiting for. That is going to help you to understand what's going on and what you need to do. So let's bring this back to you for a moment. What are the specific symptoms that you have been going through lately, or maybe you have dealt with in the past? Maybe it's that relentless fatigue that no amount of coffee or sleep can fix. Or maybe it's unpredictable bloating even. You have had the healthiest of meals, or maybe your joints ache in the morning and your skin flare ups without any warning. And maybe your periods have become more painful, or your anxiety seems to be rising lately, even though life seems to be pretty much under control. 

And here's the part no one really talks about. When these things happen, you might start to question yourself and you start asking yourself, am I overreacting? Is this just a part of getting older? And why can't I get things together? Why can't I figure out what's really going on? And I want you to know that these symptoms are not random and they are not in your head. And it's certainly not your fault. These are your body's early warning signs. It's like, you know how you wave a little flag to capture our attention and say that, you know, can you please pay attention? Something is wrong. So instead of pushing these signs away, what if you started asking, what is my body trying to tell me through these symptoms? Because when you learn to ask that question, that's when true healing begins. Now let's talk about the real problem first. It's not just that you are tired or bloated. It's not even the joint pain, the brain fog, the fatigue, the skin rashes. That's not really in my mind, the bigger issue, the bigger issue is that you've been taught to see symptoms as the problem instead of what they really are, as clues are clues to what's really going on underneath. And you have been conditioned to fear them. Not really. Pay attention or listen to them. 

And when that happens, you're stuck chasing symptoms one by one, but you don't ever figure out what's going on and why. And here's what I want you to know. These symptoms are messengers. They're pointing you towards something that is deeper. It might be an imbalance in your gut. It might be inflammation in your immune system. It might be the chronic stress that your body is going through, even if you feel fine. Right. A lot of us are so, you know, so disconnected from my head down by living in my head all the time. We have actually no idea what our body is going through, and our body might be stuck in this survival fight or flight mode. But while we feel and it's happened to me so many times when I speak to people and I ask them, have they been stressed lately? And they actually have no clue because they they think they've been managing it fine, but their body tells a different picture. 


So when you start paying attention to your body, when you actually do a body scan, you then figure out how clenched you are. My fist might be clenched your and it's happened to me as well. It's it's just that we have been conditioned to live in our head all the time. And because nobody ever taught you how to read this map, this map that I'm talking about, this guide in terms of your symptoms, you are left feeling confused, disconnected and exhausted, right? And that's the problem. The problem is not the symptom. The problem is the disconnection. It's a disempowerment. It's the belief that healing is only possible if somebody else tells you what to do, and you have to follow someone else's instruction. Instead of paying attention to your own body's wisdom, your own intuition, and in a moment, I'm going to show you how to read those body signals so you can stop guessing. Now let's talk about first what you've probably already tried. You've tried eating clean, maybe have gone off gluten, dairy, sugar, or followed the elimination diet that everyone keeps talking about. 

And it's important. Of course, food is medicine, but sometimes that's not enough. And maybe you've stocked up on supplements, whether it's probiotics, magnesium, vitamin D, omega three, and maybe even chlorella, that promises more energy and, you know, and detoxification. Or maybe you've googled and endlessly joined Facebook groups and maybe even seen five different specialists who've all told you that your labs seem normal. And yet here you are, still frustrated, exhausted, wondering if it's all in your head. But here's the thing. It's not that you failed, it's that those strategies were treating the symptoms, not the system, not what's really going on underneath. And most of what you've been taught is about managing the chaos, not decoding what's really going on underneath all these symptoms. 

But your body is not chaotic. That's something that I want you to take from this episode. Your body is not chaotic. It's wise. It's been trying to communicate with you in the in the language. It knows which is symptoms. But what no one has ever taught you is to how to understand that language. And you end up trying to do everything except the one thing that actually works, which is listening. But what if there's a better way? What if you could partner with your body instead of trying to fix it? So what do you do? 

Actually, what do you do instead? You stop fighting your symptoms and you start paying attention to them with curiosity. That's where you start. You shift your focus from chasing the flare to noticing the pattern. It will always be so. When you shift your focus from chasing the flare, you actually start noticing the pattern, and that's when you have the power to do something about it. That means paying attention to what you are eating, how you eat, how how stressed you are, and how your body responds every single day. 

It means asking, what's going on in my life? When this symptom shows up, it means asking what has changed in my routine, food or my environment, and even my emotions. It's not about becoming obsessive, about counting every calories, etc. it's about becoming curious. It's about becoming aware. And the good news is that you don't have to figure it out. Figure this out on your own. As I mentioned that, you know, I actually base my coaching programs on the body voice healing framework, and this is exactly what we do. We reconnect you to your body's wisdom. We simplify what's working and what's not. 

And we teach you how to create a healing environment with your body can actually repair and heal itself. That works for your body and not against it. And you learn to decode your symptoms, personalize your healing routine, your wellness plan, and start making small shifts for sustained relief. For real relief, because it's at the end of the day, it's not a one size fits all protocol. It's a roadmap built around you. And again, I cannot reiterate this enough it all the time, or all this while you are being guided by your own body because you finally learned the language that your body is speaking to you in, uh, which is symptoms. And once you understand and you just it's just this awareness. And because you can never unlearn this. R

And that's the best part about it. It's something that you that lives with you through life. Because once you understand what your body's asking from you, you stop second guessing and you start healing with confidence. You stop relying only on others to give you all the answers. I am not saying that you should not go to doctors. You should not ask for medical, get medical diagnosis. You should not opt for medical treatment. I never ever, you know, uh, believe that. 

I believe that, we need both. In fact, we need the conventional medicine approach because we need medicines to not only it's life saving. Uh, apart from that, it can stem further damage, especially in complex chronic conditions like autoimmune disease, where we often need medication to have a certain quality of life and also prevent further tissue damage, organ damage, etc. at the same time, you need to do what I am telling you right now, what I'm talking about in today's episode. Uh, here's why this matters. Because the longer that you keep chasing the symptoms, the more disconnected you feel from your body because you have no clue what's really happening. And that disconnection, that disconnection is costing you. You know, we all when I speak to people, when I speak to, uh, you know, people who are looking for a solution and, um, they don't understand the silent cost of this disconnection. They only see the cost, the price that they are paying for a coaching program, or maybe the supplements, etc. but there is a hidden cost. 

There is a cost of of that the price that you pay by being stuck in fear, by overthinking or waiting for someone else to give you permission to heal. It's it's. And that price that you pay is in terms of your life. It's in terms of the quality of your life. It's in terms of the price that you pay is in terms of the relationship that you have, the social life that you have. It's a very, very heavy price to pay. And that's what makes me feel really sad to see that so many people are not even aware of this. And this is the reason I do these podcast episodes, and I'll continue to do them on topics that are really, really important. And when you start listening to your body signals, things start shifting. 

That's that's the amazing part. And you go from feeling helpless to feeling in charge, from doubting every new symptom to understanding what your body needs. So your energy starts to return. Your brain fog lifts. You can actually plan your life again without fearing the next flare. And maybe for the first time in a very long time, you feel hopeful. You feel at home, in your body, at peace in your body. Like you can trust yourself again. That's what happens when you stop suppressing your symptoms and start seeing them for what they really are. Your roadmap back to health, right? Your symptoms are your roadmap back to health and wellness. So when you are ready to follow that map, that structure, that clarity, that support.
