Greg Brown has worked over 30 years as a radio television host and a play- by-play announcer with the Pirates. Only Lanny Frattare (33 years) has called more games as a play-by-play announcer than Brown, who has described the action of over 4,000 games in his career behind the mic.

Known for his outgoing personality and passion for the ballclub, the Emmy award winning broadcaster has made the phrase “Raise The Jolly Roger” synonymous with a Pirates victory and “Clear The Deck, Cannonball Coming” his signature home run call. 

McKenry grew up in Knoxville, TN where he graduated as a State Champion with Farragut.  He then attend MTSU where he earned All American honors & majored in Exercise Science. A Hall of Fame member for  FHS & MTSU. In 2006 McKenry was drafted by the Rockies. During his MiLB journey he racked up multiple All Star honors & 3 Championships. His dream became a reality in 2010 when he made his MLB debut. Over the next 7 years he played at the MLB level. He retired following his 2017 AAA National Championship season.  The past 6 seasons he has served as a MLB Analyst on doing  pre/post game shows, color commentary, in-studio analysis. He also takes pride in being a part of the USA Baseball.  When Michael is also involved in multiple businesses, podcasts, enjoys speaking to groups, and mentoring. He can often be found in the gym crushing weights. Jesus, his wife (Jaclyn), & dog (Griffin) have his heart.
