People are watching us more than we realize and not in a paranoid way, in a human way. The tone we use, the promises we keep, and the kindness we show in small moments quietly teaches others what is safe, what is possible, and what “leadership” looks like. I talk through a simple but challenging idea: we are always leading someone, even if we do not have a title, a platform, or a plan.
From there, I dig into the qualities that make leadership feel clean and real: humility instead of ego, compassion instead of control, and integrity that shows up when it would be easier to disappear. I reflect on why people trust actions more than words, and why doing what you say you will do is one of the most underrated forms of authentic leadership and personal growth.
I also share a story from my week when my husband and I decided to help a friend, and then watched a wave of unexpected support show up around her. It opened a bigger conversation about the energy of giving, the frequency we create when we serve others, and an abundance mindset that treats money as energy meant to move and circulate rather than stagnate in fear. A big lesson surprised me: receiving matters too. Letting others help can multiply impact and create real community support.

Welcome And The Core Idea
SPEAKER_00Hello everyone. Welcome to this week's episode of Journey to the Soul. I'm so happy to have you here with me this week. I wanted to talk to you about something that came to be over the last few days, and it's about the energy and the frequency of giving, but also of leading. And when we lead, people will follow. Whether we're aware of it or not, we are always leading people. People are always looking at us, what we are doing, how we are treating people, the words we are saying. Of course, there's the impression that people get of us when they first see us, but also the more that they know us and we interact with others, people begin to see different parts of us. And whether or not we are aware of it, people are always watching us and seeing what we are doing. And in some way, we are leading others. I think this relationship or this dynamic can be seen pretty clearly between parents and children because children watch everything that parents do. They repeat everything, they do the same exact things that you know mom and dad do if they walk a certain way or talk a certain way or in a certain tone. It's so easily seen between parents and children. But the reality is that people are always watching us as well. People we may not even think like all the time. It's not just friends or family, but these are just people that you interact with all the time, even in the smallest ways. And something to think about is what kind of leader do you actually want to be? We hear a lot about what makes a good leader, about bad leaders, through history classes and the people that lead our current world in so many different realms, whether that's in politics or through entrepreneurship or this. I mean, you can be a leader of just about anything. And we, for the most part, hear about who is a good leader and who isn't, right? But I feel like the energy that encompasses a good leader is someone who shows humility, compassion, and a desire to serve all those around you. Because someone who is leading, whether they ask for it or not, is simply someone that wants to help others rise. And again, this can be done in the smallest ways. It can also mean that even though you might not have a job title or you're in an actual leadership role that you don't lead in some way, that doesn't matter at all. It's just simply wanting to help those around you in some way, helping them rise up. This could look like a couple of different things. It could be you being a little bit more well-versed or further off in a certain area of life and wanting to help those around you get to that point as well, or share what you have learned so that they can get to that point. Or, like I mentioned, it's humility. It's not being overly like when we have power or influence, we can immediately go into our ego and think about all that we could do with those things. But a true leader is always gonna stay humble about having that kind of influence. They are going to remember their roots and what kind of person they want to be. It's important to stay rooted in your values. It's also about having compassion for the people around you, the people that you are leading directly or indirectly. So always being kind to those around you, always treating other people nicely, having a positive energy. And I think with leadership, it's so important that if you say that you're gonna do something, you do it. Because people can listen to what we say, but they're really gonna pay attention to what we do. And it's important to notice that we can always recognize and know when someone fails on fulfilling their promises, right? That doesn't feel good, that doesn't make us want to trust that person or put time and energy toward that person. But it's important that if we are in a leadership position or simply again in our life, how do we want to move through our lives? Do we want people to know that they can trust us, that our word means something, that if we say that we're gonna do something, we're going to do it. Because that means something now in this day and age. And when you have that, when you are someone that does what they say and moves through the world with that confidence and assurance in yourself, that also attracts people. People are drawn to this level of authenticity that makes up a leader, the humility, the compassion, and the desire, but also to the frequency of being who you say you're going to be and being authentic to yourself. And this came to me this week. The reason why I wanted to talk about this was because I have a friend and my husband and I really wanted to help her because she's in a certain situation that she's been in for a couple of years, and I always want to help people. That is like the one thing that I always want to do, whether that's through time, energy, resources, in whatever way I can. And it's just, it's like one of my love languages is helping other people. And I spoke to my husband and we decided on how we were gonna help her and all those things. But in that week that we made that decision and we started getting her the help that she needed, it was amazing to see how many other people came out out of the blue wanting to help her, wanting to help her in her situation. It wasn't anyone we asked, it was a few people that knew her, but and some people that didn't know her, but it was so incredible for me to see how the universe conspired to bring this all together and for her to get the help that she needed. Even though my husband and I were ready to do all of this on our own, we had that day that I basically saw her and made that decision, you know, that night we had made the decision to help her in whatever way it was gonna look like. And in a matter of days, as this continued to transpire, people reached out wanting to help her. And it goes back to there are still people, most people who are innately good and that want to spread goodness. And when we have an abundance of something that perhaps someone may not have, whether that's time, energy, resources, sharing it and using it to help those around us feels meaningful to us. That fills up our cup more than having an abundance of whatever that may be. And it's important to remember that money and success will only get us so far in life. When we have all the money that we could possibly imagine, if we are not being of service to others along the way, that money, that life, that success, that fame, if you are lucky to have it as well, or you're one of the people that are meant to have it in this life, it all feels empty. And money is a frequency, it's an energy, and it's an energy that needs to be shared and circulated. If we hold on to it and don't share it with those around us, that energy can die off. It can also dissolve because we can be holding on to it due to fears of scarcity and different things like that. But money needs to move that energy of giving, it needs to continue to happen. Something else that I realized as well as all of this was happening over the last couple of days was how important it is to also allow other people to help and letting other people help in whatever way they want towards whatever it is that you're trying to do. Sharing the goodness, you know, the lightness that comes with helping other people rise. And as humans, we all want to feel needed and like we are doing something purposeful in our life. And I feel like we can especially feel that right now in the world when so many of us are fighting our own wars. It brings such a lightness into our lives, and it really elevates our frequency, and it creates a rich and fulfilling life when we are helping others, and it was something for me to see a how easily it can happen that you could help someone else change their life, how quickly other people will rise to that as well, and you don't need to do it all on your own either. And that was a realization that I had this week as well, even though I was very much prepared to, and that's what we wanted to do, but you don't need to, and if you need help and support, the universe will bring it into fruition for you. And it can be so easy and it can happen so quickly. It's so incredible to see. But it's also important to know that when we do let others in to help build the world that we want to build, it gives us the opportunity to help more people in our lives. And together we truly can make a greater impact. Sometimes we forget how much power we have within us to change the world in whatever way our heart yearns for. We all have our own vision, our own ideal of what we want the world to be. And all it takes is for us to take the first step towards bringing whatever that is to life, even if no one else is doing it. I think then it's even more most important for you to do it and to be brave to take the first step towards building whatever world you envision of creating. Because in doing so, you never know who will rise up once you do that has the same desire to serve as well. Sometimes others are simply afraid to go first, and it's important to not be afraid to go first and simply lead the way. Because for some reason or another, that yearning and desire that you wanting to do that and lead the way in that way is meant for you to do it, for you to take the first step. I want you to know that in whatever small way we can shake the world and we can be a light to those around us, to be a catalyst for the change we wish to see in the world. And it's incredible to see how it can all come together slowly, how other forces can come in and help you towards that, especially now. It's so important for us to hold on to whatever it is that we want to bring into the world, whatever we want to bring into fruition, the person that we want to be, how we want to affect those around us, how we want to help those around us, what kind of legacy do we want to leave behind when we leave? Why do we want people to remember us? How are we gonna be remembered? Because in any small moment we can choose to shake the world. I hope you guys enjoyed this little story time and epiphany that I had this week as all of this transpired because I was just blown away to see how quickly things can happen, how much other people want to do good, and how that allows you to go do more good, and that fills me up so much to be able to do that. I'm so grateful to be able to do that and to serve others. That is something that's so important to me. And I just wanted to share the few tidbits that I've learned through life in this realm, but also what this particular interaction brought to life for me. Because whether we know it or not, we're always being leaders in our own way. So it's something to keep in mind. What kind of leader do we want to be? How do we want to influence the world around us? I am sending you all a big hug and so much love until our next podcast episode. I will talk to you all then.
