Going For It π Building National Champions
How do you build a full volleyball team from scratch, starting with 2 players practising on a tiny patch of grass, and catapult them onto centre court to win gold at the Canadian National Championships? Well, Coach Sis Phant did just that ~ with Team Harmony, just north of Toronto. And it was no accident. As I interview each player, join me in discovering how the deliberate focus from Coach Sis on respect, kindness and connection developed a powerful loyalty that motivated them to bring their A game to every single touch of the ball. The best part of this story? I never predicted that I'd learn so much from these 16-year-old girls who sparkle with wisdom and extraordinary emotional intelligence equivalent to Harvard graduates. Come ~ be surprised. Be inspired.

Going For It π Building National Champions
2) Catherine Phant π "We were a team of 2 players on a tiny patch of grass..."
Have you ever wondered what itβs like to be a national champion...? Well, 16-year-old Catherine Phant is just that. She and her teammates won gold at the Canadian National Championships in May, taking the volleyball world by storm ~ one serve, one set, one spike, one game at a time.
I first met Catherine when I joined Team Harmony as a goal-setting coach 3 years ago. She was always cheerful and very much engaged in our goalsetting projects, which makes her a perfect choice to be my very first guest of my new podcast Going For It ~ Building National Champions.
I sat down with Catherine to discuss her journey with the team, from grass roots when it was a team of 2 playersβ¦right through to that fateful moment of winning the national title.
Allow me to introduce you to Catherine Phant ~ Number 12 on Team Harmony. Join me in discovering a dozen reasons to be inspired by this impressive young athlete.
Here we go...!
