What is going on and welcome back to the quarter mile podcast.
I am your lovely host, the still celebrating her birthday, girls, CJ Walton, with my cousin, my big brother.
I grew up.
We're definitely family.
If you're doing a fast and furious themed podcast, you're family.
I would say that would be these old roles, but I think so too.
The illustrious, Adru Devon.
What's up everyone. Welcome back to the quarter mile podcast.
And happy continuation of your birthday.
It is going ridiculous. We're having a party tomorrow.
That's awesome.
Very cool. Well, enjoy it.
I'm still eating and enjoying it. Memphis was fun.
Yes, I got to see CJ celebrate some of her birthday in Memphis.
You had an amazing routine.
I had a massive background. That was really cool.
I've been working. I've been practicing.
You killed it. We also have a repeat guest.
A favorite?
A favorite. He's my favorite.
He's your, there you go. Your CJ's favorite.
She absolutely doesn't say that to every single person.
I do not.
And when it's going to be so bad.
Yeah, he's going to be in court.
No, Courtney, that's my baby sister.
But she, that goes without saying I get moved.
That goes without saying.
Absolutely. She's coming back.
I'm going to review Twister.
That's what I said. That's what I said.
Right. Like she could just move in here.
So I can't say that about her.
I can't say that about her.
You're a thirst trap.
You're the thirst trap.
I'm trying.
I've lost 50 pounds since the last episode.
I've lost 50 pounds since the last episode.
You're doing because I need to know how to lose the way too.
I'm probably not eating cupcake.
Is it because of D&D?
Shut up the D&D.
Why do you mean not cupcakes?
I bet you he doesn't get on my ass.
But did I come up with any.
No, you know exactly.
So I'm trying to that's my new thing is trying to.
But we should have said this so much earlier.
But we're covering triple act.
Yeah, that's right.
Yo, is this because he's back.
Yeah, solid is.
We just wanted to catch up with our friend because he did kill Tony.
We just and he just got on that shot shot.
He looking good.
We just want to see.
Yeah, but you already knew you picked you clicked on an episode that said triple act.
Exactly.
And then it was important.
It's at least I hope you knew that this is going to be really a let down for you guys.
If you're looking for some porn on a podcast.
At least on our podcast.
Yeah, it's not over yet.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, but at least on our podcast.
No, we are actually doing another Vin Diesel.
And I know like hopefully y'all not tired of him yet because it's still action.
Yeah.
Action character action movie.
So we are doing triple X.
Okay.
And I'm loving it.
I'm loving it.
That will be came out in 2002.
Yes.
Yes, it's starting Vin Diesel.
And let's go ahead and get this cast so y'all can see who it is.
Vin Diesel, Asia, Argento, Michael Coca's.
The man, the myth, Samuel, Elle Jackson, original.
And let's see, Michael Roof, Richie Muller.
It's a lot of good people.
Yeah, this is a fine and good cast.
What's not a good cast?
He was in it.
Stop.
Let's talk about the original Rough Rider.
Welcome to the part of the podcast where we're talking about something different than what you thought.
Okay, I know we talking about triple X, but let's talk about me.
He was in it.
She is the original, the original Rough Rider.
Yeah, I'm saying like, I mean, who would not want to see Eve?
I hate to ask, I'm going to be like, who's Eve?
Who is she in the movie?
And so she was like, apparently like his agent, like she was his agent.
She's his agent.
She's the one talking about she can get an advance on the video.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm trying to keep his ass alive.
Oh, yeah.
She was great for like, she was really good friend.
She was just in that maybe that scene, like the opening scene and the maybe a little later because he went back and got people what?
Yeah.
But yeah, you're right. And that was an exact was something I liked about this movie was even the small characters.
Yeah, Eve, like they really Tony Hawk, yeah, they're.
Oh, no.
Tony Hawk was the, and I'm looking like, no, that's not who I think it is.
That's what I mean.
No, that's not my boy.
Because I know I didn't notice that when I, man, I was watching it.
I was like, that looks like Tony Hawk.
It's it's, and then I'm watching the whole scheme with the Corvette and everything and they go off the bridge and then he pulls up in the Cadillac.
I was like, that is Tony Hawk.
And it went until the party the next scene after that.
And I was like, no, that's definitely him.
That's Tony Hawk.
And when that's on, next everybody, I was like, that's Tony Hawk.
That's Tony Hawk, like every small part made that move right.
Yeah.
Which was, I couldn't imagine Tony Hawk not being in that movie.
Like that little part was made for him.
Yeah.
Like Eve's part as an agent.
There was a surprise special guest that you didn't mention.
Who did I not mention?
Michael Jackson was in it.
What?
That's right, that's right, that's right, that's right.
That's right.
Wait, that's right, that's right, that's right.
I just stupid.
You know,
Tell me the stripper that was in the bedroom for him does not look like Michael Jackson.
It's not really my, I love that you got the chairs of the,
Oh, but I didn't talk about my favorite.
Who's that Danny Trill?
Danny Trill.
Yes.
Danny Trill.
Oh, it won best action.
Adventure thriller.
It won best special effects.
Yes, of course, BT award, Samuel Jackson won that.
I love his character in this and then, you know, he's in the next one too.
I think this movie is what set him up for the Avengers cast.
I can just, I like you.
Oh, for real.
Without this, I don't think he really fit that, that, that, we're thinking about him until
they saw him in this role.
You see this role, it's really does, it does have a, it does have a neckline.
Yeah.
He's got serious Nick Fury energy.
Yeah, he does.
Nick energy.
I mean, from the beginning, I mean, from the beginning of the movie, he really does.
I didn't even connect that, that's all I said that.
Yeah, my favorite scene in this movie, it's, I know we're still talking about the overview,
but when he brings them into the opera and they're like interrupting an opera,
which is like the opera is still going and they're just out of your having a conversation.
I don't know, never did anyone in the opera be like, first of all, why are we performing to an empty room?
And maybe they were just at practice and maybe he, maybe he knew the, the playwright or whatever.
Yeah.
And can I use, can I use, well, you guys are at practice.
Can I use your space for a covert kidnapping mission briefing?
And he's like, yeah, man, Eugene, because his name is like Augustus Eugene Gibbons.
They were like, yeah, just go ahead and do whatever you want, Eugene.
You're stupid.
Yeah, sure.
Among the awards, you've heard of Teen Choice Award.
You've heard of, I don't know, the Razzie Award.
Okay.
You've also heard of a Golden Real Award, MTV Movie Awards.
I don't know if you've ever heard of the BMI Film Music Award.
Okay.
What about DVD?
Body Mass Index.
I hate you.
I've won that a few times.
Not anymore.
You keep losing weight.
I'm taking those words back from you.
The Torres Award.
Never heard of it.
So it's for best specialty stunt.
And the stunt man drives a Corvette Alpha Bridge and escapes in the inevitable crash by parachuting
Alpha Vicar, lighting to safety, Tim Rigby.
Torres Award, best overall stunt by a stunt man.
Stunt man happened, um, Harpoon's a moving boat while in a car traveling parallel to a boat.
Using a parachute, the stunt man attaches himself to the moving boat and flees behind it.
As a bridge approaches, the stunt man unhooks himself from the parachute, harnesses and slides down to the boat.
They didn't even talk about the evil carnival scene over the, overall the car.
I'm not even done.
Oh, okay.
I'm gonna, they want a, they want a stinker award.
I can keep better.
I don't know what that means either.
For the worst screenplay, worst screenplay for a film grossing more than a hundred million using Hollywood Mac.
Huh.
That doesn't make sense.
That's such a subjective award.
And I bet we could find something worse.
It was a PG-13, which was funny to me, seen as hell.
But this was a movie that Samuel L Jackson really didn't say the word fuck.
Quite no, yeah, PG their genius.
So it definitely wasn't a pull fiction style.
So let's play a little trivia real quick.
Did you know the production as the checks are for the, for the loan of two of their jets for the film?
I'll only be told that they could have the entire fleet.
All they required was a payment of $50,000 in donation to the pilot's hospital and to buy beer for all the soldiers involved.
Potentially dangerous. Like what if the checks were invaded when they were filming triple X?
And there's what?
Um, we can't. There was Vin Diesel.
They really destroyed a $60,000 car for the opening scene.
Nice.
So they actually--
Yep, yep, it was the Corvette.
And the Amelange, are you ready for this?
How many gallons of fake snow do you think it was?
Ooh, let's see here.
Wasn't CGI?
It was not!
Oh wow, I was hoping that was CGI.
I was not.
I can't even imagine. I guess I'm going to make a 1,000 gallons of--
Okay, what is your guess?
I'm going to go one trillion. That was all.
300,000 gallons of fake snow.
That means there was someone out there before the movie that had to make 300 gallons of fake snow.
Ramastain actually performed live in the movie.
Yes, cool.
Everyone knew that.
Like, come on, fear of feel.
Um, from Stein.
From Stein, excuse me, thank you, because I always miss for now their name.
And setting things on fire and consuming your parents, that's what they're known for.
Triple act was supposed to be more extreme, what James Bond.
I want to get into this, like, the review of this movie.
And I need to see if you're going to do it as funny as Zander did it.
Oh, yeah, oh, the same zone.
Got to pretend like you're the professional YouTuber.
You know, he was in his own.
Welcome to this.
He was getting revenge.
I don't, you know, he was, but he said, dude, yeah, mom, you got you.
Yeah, he kept saying dick.
He kept saying dick.
I tried to write it as funny as possible.
That's right.
Did you write this?
This time.
Oh, all right.
Okay.
We'll see Jay original.
I hope it's good.
All right.
The government needed a spy.
So they hired a man who thinks gravity is just a suggestion.
Let's be honest, triple X is in a movie.
It's a two hour adrenaline tantrum where Vin Diesel plays Zander Cage.
An extreme sports legend, criminal, and walking protein shake who's recruited by the NSA,
because James Bond apparently didn't have enough time.
Exander Cage is the type of guy who's guideives before breakfast.
Motor oil for fun and probably thanks seatbelts are for the week.
The government in a moment of pure what could go wrong energy decides this guy is their best hope to take down some villainous Euro club DJs with a missile fetish.
The bad guys imagine in every villain from the 2000s PlayStation game formed a techno band.
They hang out in castles, rave like it's tax deductible and plot world domination with enthusiasm and someone trying to win a close take dance off.
I thought you would like that.
Who needs plot when you have when you've got explosions.
Zander doing stunts and require a waiver just to watch.
Yep.
And lines like I live for this shit.
Yeah.
Shout out while flipping and flaming dirt bikes.
Oh, for an epic.
I just love I mean the whole premise of this movie is a YouTuber is hired by the secret service.
Yeah.
Early early YouTube.
And they're like,
like, you know, like, you have this and never do we learn how he became such a marksman.
Like, he's just he's the Zander freaking cage.
That's how.
So I was in the Marine Corps really on the run and shooting at targets moving is not as easy as they make it look.
And for him to just be a YouTuber who can hit the target.
That's pretty impressive.
I know what you say.
All I'm saying.
I'm just saying he could do more of this.
All of them.
I've missed that boat several rounds before.
You mean my god.
I got there eventually.
Yeah.
We'll give him some grace.
It was high tent situation.
Also, shout out to the love interest who falls for him after minutes of the gun fight.
Because nothing says he's the one like watching a man do a kick flip over a moving car while holding a grenade.
Yeah.
Final verdict four and a half out of five broken laws of physics.
It's fast.
It's furious.
And it's basically what happens when Mountain Dew gets a movie deal and gives Vinnie diesel a GoPro.
I love that.
This movie is like a Mountain Dew wish to become a real boy.
I just want you to know that I'm sick of love interest.
Yeah.
I am over love interest every time is someone who is not interested in the next thing you know.
You see him do one thing.
So forced in all these movies and so many of these movies rarely do you see the in these action type movies that we're watching.
Rarely do you see like a couple of you're like that makes sense.
He never makes sense with anybody except in fast and like this with lady and Helen Marin.
That's it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
What nobody say.
I think him and Helen Marin done.
You know, he just has a thing for Helen.
He just getting me dating.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Vin Diesel just posted like a happy birthday post to Helen.
Yeah.
It was so weird.
You know what?
I think it is.
You know what?
Let's just be honest.
She got a body.
She does.
She got a body.
She does.
Yeah.
She's got experience probably.
She's not ugly.
She pretty as hell.
Yep.
And she got a body.
She's got class.
She got class.
And you know what?
I can guarantee she probably really, really funny behind you know saying she seems cool.
She said so.
I can see why do's like you know what?
I'm not the Stewart without the criminal record.
There you go.
Yeah.
Because because I mean if you put her on a little something you could say a little bump bump back there.
Yeah.
I agree with what we were saying about Vin Diesel and his chemistry with like essentially any
woman.
I will say in this movie it was nice to kind of see him acting a little bit more.
This brings back first fast and furious vibes.
This brings back pitch perfect.
No.
A pitch black.
No.
Nothing.
He was in pitch perfect.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's how he got those goggles.
That's how he got those.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
I agree with you.
Yeah.
It's I do feel like maybe if I ever made Vin Diesel confirm this or I won't say this down because
they'll beat me up.
I feel like maybe with his success he's kind of stopped like trying whenever he was acting.
Like in a lot of his later movies it's just a lot of grunting and and and and family.
But like when you watch these like 2000, 2002, I know I'm going to get canceled.
I'm going to cancel it for my hate of and I don't know because this is I love Vin Diesel.
I love Vin Diesel.
You're not either not because that's really he said so I agree.
His acting was better in this than a lot of other movies of his.
Yeah.
I killed it for me was the trash talk was subpar and speaking of the love scenes when he
kisses the girl there's three different times.
It's like three different kisses like they're doing it for the first time.
It's all wrong.
It doesn't look right.
She's so confused.
Like the first time he kissed her he was kissing her upper lip the entire time.
I'm like, that's just weird.
I think that's not even I was like, is he kissing the sweat off well and the first one was
a put like we could at least maybe if I remember in the movie correctly we could at least
maybe argue that the first one was supposed to be bad.
It was people who didn't like each other very much and and because they made like a
joint while I'm not better in common.
But yeah, they didn't they didn't approve on that.
More boring.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I just felt like it was very like fifth grade first kiss.
Yeah.
It was very fifth grade.
Right.
And then I think letty in the first fast and furious like.
Yeah.
When she's motorboding her over the Mondat is going.
I was like, I don't like that.
Oh, okay.
But I found something while you were talking and guess what?
This was the Mule Jack the audition.
Was it?
It actually were.
Or the Nick Fury.
Yeah.
The Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury vibe started here.
I knew it.
I think Gustas Gibbons literally has the I score and the great and grad of us that he would
have later bring the Nick Fury in the Marvel universe and you could almost say was was
the audition.
Called it Dustin.
There you go.
Um, the you're going to love this.
Okay.
The Zander Zone was not in the script.
I could see that.
I could see that.
It was just in these little off script.
I could as well it should be good for him.
So it said it was ad liabd and everyone loved it so much they kept it.
Okay.
Yeah.
He actually said a second time like he said it.
I did.
I feel like I really wanted maybe this one here.
I really want him to say it right when like the replace the torpedo in a blue up or something
like.
Yeah.
Welcome to the Zander Zone.
Yeah.
And this last one I'm going to do because this one's funny or this is funny.
He actually dropped out the sequel.
He was slated to be anybody dropped out of it.
He didn't like the script so they replaced him with ice cube.
So was it that or was it because he was recording the pacifier?
It's kind of both later.
It's kind of like you hear you hear instances on both and maybe it could be maybe he could
I mean you know it is like you say noted things but if you really want to you could make
time to do it.
So maybe maybe he could he was filming the pacifier but maybe he could have also like you
know I mean shoot that during these this time frame he was doing fast and furious.
Yeah.
Pitch black triple X a man apart like the he was doing he was in a bunch of movies he could
throw in a second triple X.
Yeah.
I can't blame the plot because the pacifier plot wasn't that much better.
I mean I didn't think it was.
I didn't think it was and oh wait no no last one drew you might like this.
This was one of the first films to embrace extreme sports culture.
I love it.
Yeah.
And that that made it fun that made it like that was something that was lacking in the
next movie was it went it went back to like you know military and some which is so cool
but like that that was part of the fun of this.
Yeah the BMX.
Yeah.
Snowboarding the skateboarding the parachuting the it was like red ball on steroids.
All of the big action moments it was like you're watching motorcross with explosions
behind it was like you're watching snow.
Right.
With like you know the parachute flying like that it everything he did as cool as it was
it always went back to like yeah he's an extreme sports guy.
Correct.
Except for the whole being a marksman.
No, no.
Like it's blow things up and he's an extreme sports guy and he's also Vin Diesel and everything
so.
I guess I'm in views.
I'm only going to do a couple.
I should I should let the audience know that we.
Oh yeah please.
We couldn't we couldn't go to Reddit to find people's feedback on this particular series
because it turns out if you type triple X and most things including Reddit the subreddits
that pull off are not for those and her cage movies.
I was going to say this was 2002 that was back when Napster and things bear share line
wire we were downloading things illegally.
Yeah.
Those are the guys.
Do you think set there excited for hours downloading a movie for sure.
I have a great joke about that.
I do.
I do it.
I'm going to I'm going to try to work it out tonight.
Awesome.
Yeah.
Let me see there is only one triple X the ice cube one doesn't count Alex said that OG
triple X.
That's why that's my friend Alex on Instagram.
Yeah.
OG triple X Alex was king made me love extreme.
Oh, let made me love extreme sports and the CIA so much Jason Jason Winkler shut off
to Jason.
Yeah.
He's coming on in a few season to be doing squat with us.
Oh cool.
That's a good move.
So much to unpack here.
Triple X 2001.
I think they mean 2002 was better.
Vin Diesel versus ice cube.
You say them.
You saw pitch black right saying ice cube would win is like saying you don't know how to
play Super Mario.
Oh super smash.
I feel like that comment needs context.
So I did yesterday I posted a lot of things getting people's feedback for the triple X's
the two the first two movies and one of the questions I asked was who would win in a fight
Vin Diesel or ice cube right and so he was saying ice cube clearly and this is my friend
Trevor and Trevor was also say like he referenced it to super smash brothers said back in
college and still today if I'm in honest I was obsessed with super smash brothers.
I also was pretty unbeatable and I was really good with Mario.
He's like that's like saying Vin Diesel could win in a fight is like saying or I guess in
his case he was saying saying ice cube could win against triple X is like saying I lose
with Mario which I wouldn't so.
That makes sense.
That makes that makes a lot of sense.
Okay.
You know what though ice cubes not going to fight the same way Vin Diesel is in real life.
No.
Yeah he's going to be just I really think I really think guys if we're talking actor
to the real world actor I put money on ice cube.
And then real life versus real life on my money still on ice.
Yeah.
That's what I was saying.
I think he's also like isn't he too quiet isn't it.
Is it Vin Diesel?
Yeah.
I don't think so.
I think they're right at the same age.
Okay.
Yeah.
So one of the other comments is about they're fighting over blood pressure.
Oh yeah.
That's what I was going to um where is that damn comment?
Probably the last one.
That's funny.
Oh yeah.
But what are they going to be fighting over blood pressure medication and that's on the
threads.
I love that one.
Someone said they didn't like that Vin Diesel was the opposite of a government agent and
that's why they chose him but ice cube was for military.
They completely abandoned the original pyramids for the sequel.
So that goes to I guess both movies.
Yeah.
Um for my page a lot of people um enjoyed it.
They was like that's one of my favorite action movies.
That's one of my the best start of my action movies.
Um then like if if this this film is of James
Lawward in early 2000 style I'm like okay we've heard that one before.
Oh yeah.
Favorite line of the movie.
I risked my life for a lot of stupid reasons.
This is the first one that makes sense to me.
Oh yeah.
That was like a Vin Diesel cheesy cliche.
Yeah.
Very Vin Diesel.
So.
What was your favorite line?
Oh my favorite line.
Um I it's the one that they both say in the two two movies.
Uh well no and this one welcome to the zander zone was my favorite line but there's
about one they say the things I do for my country as soon as they like go go get with women.
I think that's one.
I don't I really hope that's in the third movie too because it's in the first two.
Yeah it is.
I think no you know what I don't know.
Let me know.
I haven't seen the third one yet so um.
Kale Kale Suban in Spanish.
So me Gustaria.
That is somebody that is somebody who wants to watch it.
They need to see it in Spanish because they don't have an Spanish.
You know what I'm like even in I don't know if I feel like you could
watch this movie without understanding the link.
No I think she just wants to download it like in Spanish but um.
On Amazon.
Someone said Vin Diesel is the best legendary actor of all time and I mean that literally.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Was it true?
Nope.
Nope.
Uh I feel like I have an honest relationship with Vin Diesel.
Yeah.
No.
I feel like this is the dumbest ever I'm like that's why I watch his movies but I recognize
that they're there.
So.
So yeah so those were some of the comments.
Yeah.
And there's not a lot of bad like I could not find anyone that really just hated this movie.
No I feel like it's interesting.
I feel like this one people enjoyed it also like it was your cheesy like macho action movie
but with the twist of the extreme sports.
I think that's what made it fun.
Yeah.
Um.
I really like the villain.
I thought he did a good job of being the like he was he had enough.
I mean no one goes into these movies being like I can't wait for an amazing storyline.
No.
I felt like he did such a good job being an unlikeable villain and I think the real the thing
that really uh cemented it for me I already didn't like him because he was a villain of
the story but that scene close to the end where he kills off all the scientists as like
a test to see about how like his like like that like he didn't have to do that.
Like he can see.
Yeah.
He just I mean his ways his ways of just clearing up loose ends and I was like that was just
an evil moment.
I rewatched this again with my wife um earlier this week.
Good day night, baby.
Yeah.
And she's very angry.
Yeah.
And right.
We had a couple different comments.
One to the scene we're talking about where they're in the lab and they secure themselves in
the vented room and everything.
What happens if that goes sideways?
Because you got guys in there with assault rifles and they only got pistols on them.
I'm sitting there thinking if this missile didn't work out how would that play out?
Right.
Y'all are just waiting to come out of that tank at that point.
Oh.
A room full of mad scientists and some armed guards that are not happy.
There was nothing in there that they could use either was there.
No but I mean they had assault rifles the guards did.
That's what I'm saying but that's no.
They were they were stuck.
They were stuck.
They were stuck.
Yeah.
They were banking on the missile working.
Yeah.
I'm like look I'm going to be thinking like.
Yeah.
What if it didn't like well?
Yeah.
It just didn't do anything and they're like oh that didn't work.
I did like that.
Damn I forgot about the gear.
The other thing my wife said this she's like why wasn't the movie more popular than I thought
it would be because she's like it's a really good movie and I said that's a good point.
So I looked it up and do you know where it finished for the year out of movies?
I want to say wasn't it like 60?
It was number 15.
Uh huh.
The movies that came out that year.
Okay.
It was a little bit more popular than I thought.
Right now there is the like it's supposed to be boom.
That's the plot.
That's the plot.
That's the plot.
That's the plot, man.
Sometimes we just want to not think.
Who are we to say?
What movies inspire you to be better?
- Absolutely, oh, my God.
When I tell you, I have such a good, this man,
is their energy 'cause this is so much fun.
It is so much fun.
We gotta get into our game.
And we gotta get into.
- Shall we give you our ratings first?
- Our first two ratings?
- Yeah.
- Our first two ratings first.
And for those who don't know, we do different ratings,
we do two fast, two furious, furious, and fast.
- And fast.
- Yep, is that it?
- Yeah, it's just four.
- I thought it was five.
- Nope, I'm still sleeping.
- What it is is we couldn't,
furious kinda can be both.
- Think so.
- So it's too fast is you absolutely loved it was great.
Fast was you liked it.
Furious is either you didn't really care
or you didn't like it and then too furious.
It's like you really didn't like it,
like your life is less than because of it.
- Right.
- Okay.
- So we are gonna start with our illustrious guest,
our friend of the hour.
- I'm gonna do it.
- Just for the hour.
- Just for the hour.
- Just for today.
- Now, tomorrow, I don't.
(laughing)
I'm just kidding, now.
- I'm gonna give it too fast.
I think if this movie was out any other time
that it didn't compete with that list that we just read off.
- I agree.
- I don't see how it's not one of the bigger box office hits
for real, you know, top 10 easy.
- Cool.
I'm gonna give it a fast.
I absolutely loved it, but I wouldn't go that big with it.
- Okay.
- Like I just, it was good.
I enjoyed it.
But I didn't like leave calling my friends
and be like, you've gotta go see this movie, you know?
Which I feel like for too fast is something I would do.
But man, what are you doing tomorrow?
'Cause I've already figured it out for you.
- Okay.
- That's my, so yeah, so I liked it.
- Um, and then this gonna be hard for me.
I'm going to lean with too fast.
And I think because after he said,
"Date, I was like, you know what?"
Me and Kenny did watch this on a date
and it was, we were like, it was a good movie and talking through.
Like we should, come play with it.
We, so that's the only reason what I call and say,
like what I call and say, you know, go back and watch it.
I don't know, maybe not, but I definitely would be like,
"Hey babe, you wanna watch, you wanna watch triple?"
You know, say, I wanna triple X and he's like,
- You wanna watch triple X?
- He's like, "Hell, yeah, I'm down."
- Starring me.
(laughs)
And then you put all those windows on the screen.
And he's like, "I did not sign up for this."
- Well, anytime I try to do something for him,
he's really looking at me like, go away.
(laughs)
I'm like, I try to do some dance and he was like,
that's not, I think this is sexy.
He does it.
(laughs)
He was like, I don't know what you're doing.
It looks like you're sick.
(laughs)
And this, no, I'm literally sitting.
I'm like, that was the move.
I'm sitting, I'm moving.
- Standing like I'm sitting, but I'm doing this.
He was like, please go away.
I really have to pay our bills now.
So listen, audience, if you're watching,
let us know what you think about that dance is it sexy.
And if you're listening, take a moment later today,
go to our YouTube video and pull up to wherever
this part of the podcast is,
and check out CJ's sitting dance.
And let us know, is Kenny right or is Kenny wrong?
- He's wrong.
(laughs)
- You're gonna see shirts with Team Kenny.
(laughs)
- From here.
- Okay, now that we've got into the,
now we get to play our game, which is the best time.
And you guys,
- We're currently losing this.
- You are.
- This is for you on CJ, three on Drew.
- But I'm gonna throw you a bone this time.
- Oh, okay.
- So instead of best out of, no, you have to guess which scene
didn't make me go, oh my God,
didn't make me, you had to guess which scene made me smile.
- Okay, and Justin remember, you have to guess too,
and you have to be correct so I can get a point.
Thank you.
- Yes, out of three.
And it's which scene made you smile?
- Yeah, which scene made me smile?
- Or like which scene made you smile the most?
Maybe the all of them make you smile or?
- Um,
like, hmm.
- Yeah, 'cause there's a couple of them in there, right?
- The whole movie, I laughed the whole movie,
- Why should say she's gonna give us choices.
You don't have to think about the whole movie.
You have to think about the entire movie,
and pick what I see.
- I've seen this, but.
(laughs)
- I'll give you a hint.
The whole movie made me smile,
but the one that made me do this,
okay now stop, for real, stop.
- Okay.
- That's the, okay.
- That's it, that's it.
- Right, right.
- Which one gave that reaction the most?
- Yeah, right.
- The scene at the very, very end.
- Well, which, like when he blew up a chip
on the dog, - On the board, board.
- Yeah.
- Okay.
- I don't know why, but that scene made me smile.
- Okay.
- The scene when, what's his name?
The guy who spoke like this?
- The main villain, the main villain.
- The main villain.
- They found out they actually warned against each other
at first and it was like, that wasn't me,
that wasn't me.
- Oh, yeah, the car.
- On the car, yeah, that was a good scene.
I was like, okay, like when he pulled that thing,
I was like, ooh, that bad, that bad, that bad.
Like I went back to my high school days on that scene
because that car was like,
- That was cool car.
- Man, I wanted to call King like,
man, can we, can we go to the pool?
- Yeah, actually, T.S.
And it was like a purplish balloon.
- It was, and that's,
okay, I love that scene, loved that scene.
Or the scene where he saw all of the weapons
and he was like, brother, this is,
this is the thing that took me out.
Twice, he was like, okay, well, yeah.
So anyway, we're gonna keep it moving.
- Okay.
- So which of those scenes that made me smile the most?
- Oh, man, these are good ones.
- Good scenes.
- These are good scenes.
- Yeah.
- That made me, that made me do this.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
- I don't think it's the third one.
What do you think, Dustin?
- I'm leaning towards it.
- I'm leaning the third one.
All right, well, hey, man,
you live your life.
- Yeah.
- Okay.
- I think, I think I'm gonna go number two,
with the, the, the scene with the guns out of the,
that's that might've been.
What are you, what are you gonna go with?
- That's a good thing.
- Two is my runner up, I think.
- Two is your runner up?
- Yeah, the bandages in it blowing up.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, I could see where you're like,
okay, this is gonna be good.
I can see you smiling.
- Okay.
- So, wait, wait, are you going to or,
or three?
- Yeah, I'm sorry, three.
- Three, I'm gonna go three.
- Are you going with two?
- Yeah.
- Wow.
I tricked you both.
It was not-- - Oh my God.
- You sure?
- When I tell you, there was something,
there was something about the fact that when that man says,
so they just got a home boy just from doing whatever he was doing,
and now that I'm studying this shit, my whole life,
he was like, I'm feeling cute if you don't shit,
but like pretty much, if you don't stop talking to me,
and he was really trying with his comedy,
trying to land it, and when he said this,
okay, shout twice with this.
- Yeah, okay, we gonna move on, like,
like look what I made, look what I made, like,
like, I can get you, anybody with these things, like,
- Yeah. - Hey, so--
- Yeah, that's the scene.
- So that's the scene that he suggested.
- So you were right.
- Yeah, okay.
- Oh, you mean the third scene that I said?
- Correct.
- Yes, that's it.
- That's how this game works.
- Yeah, Borabor was one, yeah.
- Okay.
- Yeah, I got it right.
- You got it right.
- Okay, so-- - You get the point.
- Yeah, well, take,
- You get, take,
- You get the point.
- Take the washers,
- Yeah.
- Right, so it's, you know, that's okay.
- Yeah, I really,
I don't know what it was about this scene.
Well, this movie made me wanna be a stunt man.
- Let's do it, let's all just,
is there a classic intake?
Can we go,
- Sure, there is.
- Is there Craig's list ads for stunt people?
I'll go start,
I'll go ride a boat right now.
- I think I got all the best ones.
- Where is One Drew?
There is One Drew.
I promise there is one.
Y'all think this, there is one.
- I would, you know what,
if I was an actor,
there's no way I would do my own stunts.
I would,
and I would justify it by like,
I'm helping this person get work.
- Right.
- I could slap somebody, yes.
- Okay, that kind of stunt I could do.
- Yes.
- But then I do like a Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee,
where you're,
- I would like to learn it.
- You know,
that is a good point that I actually saw an interview with
Florence Pugh,
and that was what she said.
She's like,
and all these movies,
you always get to learn,
you have the opportunity to learn
so many cool and weird things.
- Yeah, see, I would like,
- Why not try it?
And then if it ends up where,
like it's just not your thing,
then you can bring the stunt person,
but like,
you go,
they always give you the option to learn how to do it.
- I wanna do that.
I would like to learn it.
Like, I know how to do stage combat, of course.
But I mean, like for real, like falling,
and I guess because I'm a scary cat,
I don't wanna get up in the air.
- Yeah.
- So like,
shout out to Vin Diesel,
but honestly,
pulling the Jackie Chan
and doing his own stunts until he was like,
you know what,
I'm not gonna do that anymore.
- Yeah.
- You could tell,
like he did it for a while in that school,
but he also probably was like,
like when he's recording a Fast and Furious 20s,
probably like, I'm good.
I don't need to do a bunch of things.
- It's fun in the beginning,
but the injuries catch up to you.
- Yeah.
- Oh, I mean,
- I mean from experience.
- Yeah.
- You know, I've skydived and propelled
and bungee jumped and all kinds of stuff.
Road on elephants,
been in cages with tigers.
- Oh, I saw something.
- Yeah, like,
- He's gonna next week
when we just hear about dusty,
and this is why I make a joke.
This is why I make the jokes.
This is why I'm y'all gonna die.
Y'all better stop.
- Yeah, I'm gonna stop.
- I got it all out of my system now.
- You were adrenaline junkies.
- Leave me on the couch.
- So,
if you're listening to this,
you're like,
man,
I wanna learn so much more about these people
and interact with them more
because they're just literally
the three most interesting people
I've ever met in my entire life,
just a reminder
that we're on all over social media.
- Oh.
- Love one of my own podcasts
or quarter mile podcasts on TikTok.
Every Tuesday we ask for your movie opinions.
Oh,
and we also have a new subscriber function.
- Oh yeah, that's great.
- We call the quarter mile high club is what we're calling it.
And for as little as $3 a month,
you can be usubscribed
and then not in addition to our regular episodes.
Like this one,
you'll have an access to a bunch of bonus episodes
and we're actually filming our newest bonus episode.
It will be in between now and next week for you guys,
but remember when we reviewed all the riddic movies?
Well, we didn't.
We didn't review the animated one.
And so that's gonna be a bonus episode.
- Yeah.
- Do you feel like,
man,
you've got to write back all the guests
who are on our previous riddic movies.
So who's gonna be there?
I don't honestly know.
I sent them a neat all.
- We know it's gonna be some of your favorite.
- Yeah.
- And some of our favorites, of course.
- So it'll be good and you'll wanna see it.
- Everything goes to a good cause.
You and CF,
no I'm just kidding.
(laughs)
- Children's fun, I'm a child.
- You've got a child of God.
- A child of God.
- The poor.
- Yeah.
- No, but if,
and if you do wanna be a sponsor, please let us know,
drop a link.
We'll have one sponsor.
Well, actually we're getting some more,
but shout out to our major sponsor, D&D.
- Oh, good.
- Get it.
- I mean, loving them, loving them, loving them.
I'm gonna hang out with them last week.
- Did you?
- Yeah, I went to the music city,
Fit Expo and work the booth for a little bit.
- How did you enjoy that?
- I was a fitness influencer.
- Woo.
- To stand there in my lonely shirt.
It was a toss-to-in-lone-leer gym group,
but I went with lonely.
And I was trying to give people to buy shirts.
And then I did the most on-brand thing for me
as a newly minted fitness influencer.
I found where the free beef jerky was
and I visited them several times.
- That's my real family, right?
- It can't leave it without nothing.
- Yeah, get that protein.
- Okay, he can't leave no event without,
I know that's what they say.
- It was great though.
- You gonna leave here with something?
- Yeah, always, yeah.
But it was great.
I had a fun and they're really cool.
And they're based out of Memphis D&D Fitness,
but they do stuff all over the place.
- All over the place.
So, shout out to them.
They please go check out the Reels.
Please make sure you follow us on all social media
platforms we are on YouTube,
we are on Instagram, we are on a ticket doll.
Oh, and we are on Facebook.
Tell them why we can follow you.
- So, I simplified everything since last time.
Callahancomedy.com.
- Okay.
- It's got all my platforms on there, including X for now.
And yeah, you'll get to see me and my upcoming shows.
I'm actually gonna be on a show
with Drew Davis later on this month.
- Yeah, Drew.
- Yeah, it will be, I don't know why you're not on there.
- 'Cause I'll be back in Memphis on the 29th.
- Yeah, I'll be on the show.
I've worked with them too.
They've worked with the spot guys too.
- Yeah.
- Also, they just asked me to come back to,
what is that?
Not cookville, Sparta.
- Oh, okay.
- So, I'll be all over again.
- Cool, look at us.
Comedy hanging up.
- Comedy hanging up.
So, thank you for joining us
and make sure to always live your life
