Today I'm going to talk about the kind of people that we can't help grow. We've helped a ton of dentists grow over the years, and we've driven millions and millions of new patients. And I've there's one thing that I've come to realize there's a very specific kind of dentist that we cannot help grow. No matter what we do, no matter how we try, we cannot help these people. And we try our very best to weed them out up front. And recently uh we had a dentist reach out to us and to our sales team, and they wrote this really long email, and I'll just summarize it. Basically, they were like, look, you better do this, this, and this, and this in the first 90 days to work together. And you're gonna be very fortunate because if you do these things, then and you do it fast, and we get these people in and we get the results right away, and and the results are new patients coming in and buying treatment. I'm not talking about just you know, tired kickers. I I I I they better be really good people, and if you do, I'm gonna refer to my network of friends. And I get what they're saying, but put politely, we had to tell them, like, hey, kick rocks, bro. Why? Because we can't help people who don't want a partner. We just can't. There's a fundamental misunderstanding around marketing. Marketing's only function, only function is to drive leads. That's it. That's it. You go, well, they didn't they didn't they didn't schedule. Well, that sounds like it's a front desk issue. Well, they didn't show up. That sounds like you are putting them too far out on your schedule. You're putting them out three weeks, four weeks. Yeah, they're gonna know show. They didn't buy treatment when they came in. Did they need treatment? Yeah. And you didn't sell them treatment? That sounds like a TC problem. Well, they did some treatment, but they didn't come back. They didn't schedule their their hygiene appointment. Oh, that sounds like you they didn't like your office and you didn't do a good job winning them over. This is a partnership. Now we can partner. I have more data and I understand this stuff better than most dentists. I get it because they don't have the information of why these things happen. But if you're not willing to partner and say, hey, let's figure this out together, we're not gonna be able to help you. Nobody's gonna be able to help you. If you're if you expect a marketing company to figure out your treatment coordinating, your your scheduling, your phone conversion, and everything else in between, you're going to be super disappointed for the rest of your life. There's marketing, that's not what marketing does. This is not, and even a consultant, a consultant come in and show you, but eventually you're gonna have to understand it. And you are gonna be the one that has to hold your team accountable to the things that you need them to do and to get the results that that you want. And and where this really breaks down is that a lot of dentists, they lack the leadership skills to be able to grow the way that they want. And instead of saying, hey, you know what, I need to level up as a leader and better understand these things and better hold my team accountable to these things and do them now that I understand them, rather than doing that, they just point fingers and blame everybody and say everybody else sucks in the whole world. Their team sucks, the marketing sucks, the insurances suck, the DSOs suck. Everybody sucks at everything, everything stinks, there's nothing good, and therefore you're trapped forever. Now there's a solve to this, and it's called extreme ownership. Extreme ownership. Everything in my life is here because of me, and I have full control over my life. Once you understand that and you live that out, everything gets so much easier because you can actually fix the problems that are in front of you. If you're looking to grow, great. Let's partner, let's grow with us or whoever you're gonna go partner with somebody and say, hey, let's figure this out together. And I'm gonna be here and I'm gonna meet with you monthly and we're gonna figure this out together. I realize that, hey, you're gonna send us some leads, and some are gonna be good, some are gonna be bad, and then we're gonna have to adjust the targeting, and then we're gonna get better, and then my team might fail, and we're gonna have to help them, and we're gonna train them, we're gonna work together on that, and then we're gonna have to fix the schedule because our schedule is gonna get too full, and then we're gonna have to fix, and that never ends. This is business, it never ends. It's the beautiful thing about business. You never get to perfect. And it's super important if you want to grow, you gotta take extreme ownership. You gotta take ownership of the things that are going on in your business and in your life. And then you need to partner with the right people that are gonna help you partner with you to get to where you want to go. So hopefully that helps somebody out there today. If not, leave an angry comment down below. I'd love to hear from you. Hope you have a good day.
