Troy Johnston

A jack-of-all-trades as he is currently a minor leaguer in the Miami Marlins system, Troy Johnston has also been seen as a substitute teacher in the Puyallup School District, a youth baseball instructor, a custom closets salesman, and an OrangeTheory fitness employee.

He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Haleigh, for three years and has a 7-year-old Boston terrier/french bulldog whose only true love is an orange chuck-it ball. Troy has been in baseball his whole life, from starting to hit off a tee at 2 years old to playing professionally at 26. He is a lefty/lefty who plays first base and outfield and had once dabbled at catcher when he was 11.

His favorite all-time quote is “Make the big time where you’re at” from Frosty Westring, a Pacific Lutheran University Hall of Fame football coach.
