Episode #73 — Metabolic Wellbeing Without the BS featuring Dale Atkinson
“One man’s refusal to accept the standard path — and what it means for the rest of us.”
Today’s episode is a powerful reminder of what happens when you challenge the status quo of modern care.
In this podcast, I sit down with Dale Atkinson — UK entrepreneur, writer, and cancer advocate — whose stage IV oesophageal cancer diagnosis in 2024 came with a prognosis of 11.5 months to live and a “palliative only” recommendation.
But Dale didn’t accept that as his story.
Instead, he built a science-led, integrative, person-centred approach that completely changed his trajectory. No false hope. No shortcuts. Just deep research, clinical curiosity, and a refusal to outsource his health.
Today, Dale is the founder of:
🔹 REIV — a next-generation cancer clinic (launching 2026)
🔹 The Life Organic — a platform dedicated to evidence-based health, nutrition & lifestyle strategy
And in this episode, we explore what his journey means for the rest of us.
Key Insights We Unpack:
Why finding your tribe in a health journey is non-negotiable
The power of working with the right people — clinicians, thinkers, mentors
Why open-mindedness and personalised protocols matter more than ever
How agency, curiosity, and self-education can shift outcomes
Why your health is not an expense — it’s your most valuable daily investment
Dale’s story isn’t just inspiring — it’s a case study in what’s possible when you take ownership of your care, your environment, and your decisions.
If you, or someone you love, is navigating a complex diagnosis…
If you’ve ever questioned the one-size-fits-all model…
If you believe in a future where metabolic health is foundational, not optional…
This episode is for you.
