I’m honored to welcome Nate Morgans to the show. A former Army National Guard officer and Tulsa firefighter, Nate dedicated his life to serving others—but behind the scenes, he was battling trauma, addiction, and personal loss. After years of struggling with alcohol dependency, he reached a breaking point that ultimately led him to ibogaine therapy—an experience he credits with helping him reclaim his life. Today, Nate is sober, thriving, and serving a new mission as CEO of the 343 Fund, helping fellow first responders access life-changing care.

This episode sheds light on a reality many don’t see—the deep connection between service professions and mental health challenges. Nate shares his raw and powerful journey from burnout and relapse to healing and purpose, reminding us that recovery is possible even in the darkest moments.

We dive into the turning point that changed everything, exploring how ibogaine impacted his mental clarity, emotional healing, and overall outlook on life. Nate also breaks down the work of the 343 Fund, emphasizing the importance of integration, community, and evidence-based support in sustaining recovery.

We also touch on advocacy efforts, including the evolving conversation around ibogaine and its future in mental health care—especially for veterans and first responders who need it most.

This conversation is for anyone navigating addiction, supporting a loved one, or seeking hope and new perspectives on healing. Nate’s story is a powerful reminder that transformation is possible—and that sometimes, the path forward begins with a willingness to try something different.
