Attitude E4 - Toxic Attitudes

Jana Hunt and Reata Zeanah

In this third episode of our "Attitude" series, we dive deep into the corrosive effects of a "Toxic Attitude." It's more than just negativity—it’s a behavior that harms both the individual and those around them. From manipulation and criticism to gaslighting and rebellion, toxic attitudes can wreck relationships and spiritual growth.

We’ll explore biblical perspectives on toxic behaviors, share real-life examples, and discuss how to recognize and confront these attitudes—whether in ourselves or others. Don't miss this powerful conversation on how to overcome toxicity and nurture healthier, more positive mindsets!

Scripture Referenced:

Proverbs 22:24-25  “Don’t be friends with people who become angry
easily. Don’t stay around quick-tempered people.” So, people who become
easily angry and quick-tempered could be considered toxic.

Romans 12:14  Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Matthew 5:39-41 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.

Proverbs 16:28 A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
