In this inspiring episode of ABWilson's Heart of the Matter, host Aderonke Bademosi Wilson welcomes Stephanie Kadiri, also known as StephREDD, a courageous, passionat, and resilient coach and performer. Stephanie opens up about what courage means to her, describing it as a mindset of persistence and never giving up until victory is achieved, or at least finishing strong. She shares her deep passion for life, humanity and social transformation, emphasizing her commitment to creating meaningful impact in her community, society, and nation through nation building and institutional change.

Stephanie’s impactful work in Nigeria began with her visits to National Youth Service camps, where she prepared young graduates for leadership and real-world challenges. She believes strongly in being intentional with the present by envisioning the future and acting with that future in mind. Born from her own experience of overcoming adversity, Stephanie created the Resilience Summit, which offers strategies for emotional resilience, financial recovery and navigating life’s constant transitions. The summit provides free coaching and therapy for those who cannot afford it and has become an annual event with growing influence.

During the global upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stephanie’s resilience and previous experiences of hardship allowed her to remain calm and focused. She used that time to deepen her coaching practice and help others navigate the emotional challenges brought about by the crisis. She sees resilience as not just a one-time effort but an ongoing story and strategy essential to facing life’s unpredictable difficulties. Stephanie’s vision is to expand the reach of her Resilience Summit to a global audience, especially as digital revolutions create new stressors for people everywhere.

Stephanie reveals a more personal side by sharing three interesting things many people might not know about her. She is a natural performer who sings, dances, and acts, a passion she once hid to be taken seriously as a human resources professional. Her birthday tradition of celebrating herself with a performance reflects the joy and energy she embraces. She describes herself as fire and ice, able to switch between being goal-oriented and playful in an instant. This dynamic balance is part of what fuels her purposeful, passionate work. She carefully chooses her words, understanding that her voice can reach and transform someone at just the right moment.

Stephanie reflects on the difference she has made in others’ lives, particularly through the Resilience Summit. She values the feedback from participants who found the event timely and transformative, even if she doesn’t always keep track of every individual impact. Her guiding principle is to use her many talents to serve her community and inspire others to live a legacy that extends beyond the present moment. She thinks deeply about what her great-grandchildren will say about her, focusing on planting seeds today that will grow into shelter and nourishment for future generations.

When asked about legacy, Stephanie expresses her desire to be remembered as the woman who ignited genius in others, helping them reconnect with their original selves rather than conforming to social expectations. She calls herself the genius activator and aims to inspire people to express their gifts and impact their worlds in meaningful, lasting ways. This calling drives her every day.

Throughout the conversation, Stephanie’s warmth shines as she discusses growth, resilience and self-care practices that help her sustain motivation. She advocates for embracing all parts of oneself and using every

Welcome to another edition of ABWilson's Heart of the Matter, a podcast that uses overwhelmingly positive questions to learn about our guests, where every episode uncovers extraordinary stories of triumph, growth and empowerment. Hi, I'm Aderonke Bademosi Wilson. My guest on today's show is Stephanie Kadiri (also known as StephREDD). Stephanie is courageous, passionate, resilient. Stephanie, welcome to the show.

StephREDD (00:38.018)
Hi, Aderonke. Thank you so much.

Aderonke Bademosi Wilson (00:40.918)
And Stephanie, I always start by asking my guests to describe their various descriptors. Let's start with courageous. What does that mean for you?

StephREDD (00:55.792)
I don't back down easily. I think of something, I have a vision and when I go for it, I have a personal principle which is never give up until you win, and even if you don't win, finish strong. So I typically charge forward regardless of what may seem to people as challenges or obstacles or limitations, and I go with the mindset of what's the worst that could happen. The worst that would happen is I would fail or I would fall, and if I do, I'll stand again and try it. So we keep moving. Yeah.

Aderonke Bademosi Wilson (01:36.238)
Thank you. And I'm passionate. What are you passionate about?

StephREDD (01:41.834)
Life, humanity, impact, social transformation. Yes.

...

Aderonke Bademosi Wilson (11:36.642)
Wow, Stephanie, wow, thank you. Thank you. But it was very, first of all, motivational, but also it shows you, I think, how you think and answering my question on how you're giving back. And let's go to the first question. Stephanie.

StephREDD (11:39.566)
That was a lot, I'm sorry.

Aderonke Bademosi Wilson (12:04.814)
Please share three interesting things about yourself that our listeners may not know and your friends will be surprised to learn.

Wow, Stephanie, can you tell us about a recent accomplishment or success that you’re particularly proud of?

StephREDD (19:21.38)
Oh, yes, I passed my professional coaching certification exam. I’m not sure the last time I wrote a certification exam was in human resources in 2014. And I was very apprehensive because I’d heard a lot of gloom and doom about this particular exam. And even though I prepared for it, it took me by surprise because what I prepared for was still not what I saw.

And I’m writing frantically because you have dropped so many important gems and seeds and I want to make sure I capture them for the end.
