And that way you will never miss an episode. so let's jump in. I. I'm so excited for this time of year, because I feel like we're all on the same. Wave length in terms of new year and new energy. And. Out with the old, in with the new, I feel like that's a collect. energy that we all have. And so I wanted to just. Help you with what you were already. Planning on doing. Doing with 10 ways to clear. Your energy for the. The new year, I feel like we all have goals and we all have. Things. Things that we want to work on and improve. And there's so much excitement. And buzz around this. And so it's like, why not help? Help you with some things that I have learned along the way. And with my journey now I have 10 ways. Ways to do this. So I know that's a lot. But please. No, you don't have to have all 10. You don't have to do it all right away. Just pick a few that resonate with you the most and then apply. Apply those few until you do them. And then come back, maybe do a third one, maybe. We do a fourth one, but give yourself time. I don't want you. You to feel pressured and overwhelmed, like, okay, I got to do these 10 things. Right. That's not what I'm trying to do. I'm just going to share the. 10 ways that I am going to do it and what I have learned. And again, this is new for you, please. Don't overwhelm. Yourself, choose one, maybe two and actually do. Do them. And then apply more. The. The intention for this episode and for sharing this. Is. So that you can start with a clean slate. And welcome in some fresh balanced. Zen energy. So that you can really. We start the new year with a bang and on the right foot. So. All right, let's get started. Number one. De-clutter your. I think this one is obvious. But before we add and start. New things I want you to remove before. Before you add? I think a lot of us always just think about adding and. More and more and more and do do, do, and go, go, go., given the society and hustle culture that we're. I digress. But instead of going. Right away to adding additional things. I want you to start with remove. Removing certain things. So we all know physical. Clutter equals what. Mental. Clutter. So if you already have mental clutter, Starting out the new year with adding more. It's never. We're going to work. I mean, I guess it could work, but you're going to. To push that timeline, it's going to take longer and you're going to feel more. Stress than necessary. We're not trying to start the new year with stress. Yes. You know what I'm saying? So I want. I want you to remove clutter. And in your environment, I'm talking specifically about the fizzy. Physical stuff. Right. Also just tangent or. Just side note. What this helps with as well. When you declutter. Clutter is it creates space to receive more of. Your desires. So think of manifestation, if there's so much. In the way it makes it harder to receive, but if you clear. Clear out your space. And it creates space for things to. Drop in like your desire. So just wanted to mention that. But something you can do to remove physical clutters, start small. And just start in your house in your home or wherever you are. And you could start with like your closet. That's the first. The thing I'm going to start with because close, I, I feel like. Well, especially now. Just having a baby. I am just going to. Take. Take out the ones that one don't fit me. Anymore, but, but more so the energy behind your. We're close. Right? So like, if I'm thinking about new and beginning, Beginning and future self and 2025 version of. Katia, maybe there are clothes that don't match that version. Anymore. Right. It's kind of like Marie Kondo's concept. Does it bring. You joy, is this something you would even want to wear? So I would say I'm going to start with closet, but you. Could also do like a storage room if there's just a lot of junk. in a particular space in your house, maybe going through. Through that. maybe your bedroom, right? Whatever it is. There's no wrong or right. It's whatever is right for you. Because, you know your room and you know, what might be more cluttered than other. Number two D toxify. So this is from a Sage and Palo Santo. Gurley's. Listening. We want to clear the. The energy. So anytime I walk into like a house. House or a hotel room. There's always like an energy. That you feel right? I guess even like a restaurant really, wherever you. You go. I, yeah, I get a sense of an energy. Right away, whether it's like a happy, positive energy, or whether it's like a. Sad, low vibe energy. And so. Regardless of what type of home you have and your environment. I do. I do feel like there's so much that is. Good and powerful with clearing the old. Old energy and again, welcoming the new energy and Sage or palace. Palo Santo is such a good way to do that. and that's. Just fun too. And it smells nice. Another way. Way and maybe a deeper way is by journaling. Okay, so that you can be real with yourself, but also just create. The clarity for yourself of what type of. Of person you want to be in the new year. Year. And, and what that means is how do you want to. To spend your time. And who do you want to. Spend your time with and what are some like thoughts and. Limiting beliefs and inner critic type. voice that you don't want anymore. Right. You know? It doesn't serve you. And if you're very intentional about. I'm writing this down and answering. These journal prompts. Prompts, it just brings it to the forefront of the mind so that. That you can be hyper aware of when these moments. It's happen, what you will decide. So it'll make more sense here. As I asked the questions. Maybe write these down. Or just make a note of the time mark here so that you can come back and journal. Through these. It's just three questions. So number one. What people or relationships. Are no longer serving my future self. So, whatever. Again, that future self vision you have of yourself is. Are there people that match the history and the. Past version of you. Or are there people that match the future? Your higher self version of you. And then what relation. Ships are no longer serving that version of you, right. Number two, how can I create boundaries or remove. Move them completely. I say boundaries because family. We can't remove completely, but we can absolutely set boundaries. And number three, what thoughts or beliefs? are no longer serving me. What can. Can I let go of. So these are really good. Practices to detoxify the people and the energy in your. Environment. Number three digital deep. Detox. This is a big one for me personally. So think of organization. But. In a digital sense. So let's say, you know, you open up your computer. And there are so many files on your desktop. Or you have so many photos on your phone? I think. I have over 20,000 right now, maybe even 25,000. Maybe there's no rhyme or reason to what files. Or photos or documents show up. On your desktop, maybe it's not. Organized neatly. And maybe when you open it, you see it immediately. Lately it creates stress. Okay. So, what you want to do is start to organize. So. So organize your photos, your documents, whatever important files. You have put them in folders, if you need to back up. Your devices on your computer or your phone. If you have that many. Photos like I do. Maybe let's get an external hard drive and put. I'm on there. I already have photos on there, but I need to add more. Okay. So it's like a blank slate for your. Digital items as well. And think of your email inbox. There are so many emails that we get from. Shit that we subscribed to and we forget about, I know for me. The biggest one is probably fashion sites, because if I want to order. Something. I always get that pop-up window. Hey, you want 10% off? If you want 15% off, just drop in your email right here. And in that. That moment. Of course, I want the discount. So I give them. My email, but then it's years. Of their junk email. They'll write with all of their sales. So. I think. Now it would be a good time to unsubscribe from all of that stuff. Just so again, you are more organized and you are detoxing. Did. Digitally. Number four. Media. Media detox. So, what are you consuming? Coming. Pretty basic, pretty standard. Who am I following on Instagram? What am I allowing? Mowing in my space, in my mind, in my energy. Or they empowering me is a positive. Is it uplifting? Is it pulling me forward or is it negative? Is it fear-driven is it. Gossipy complainy. Is it comparison? Like, what is it. You. You have to be the one that. Realizes. What type of media makes you feel good? And then what type. Type of media makes you feel bad. And then what are we even going to. To do what are we taking out in the new year? I love this from one. One of my coaches. She says, if it's not making me money, If it's not making me happy. And if it's not making me. The better. You don't have room in my life. I don't follow your account. I don't follow your email. Email newsletter. I like nothing. I don't listen to your podcast. Last because it's not helpful. It's not empowering. So waste of time. So really be aware of what. You consume from media. Now that's social. Actual media that I just gave you an example for, but it's also. So songs and music, you listen to it's podcast. And casts you listen to it's TV and movies. And news, you listen to what are you? You allowing in your space and just recognize. The feeling attached to each of those. Right. It's pretty. Obvious. If it feels bad and makes you low and scared and fears. Fearful and. Lack and scarcity. Probably not a good idea. To keep consuming it. But if it's the alternate. keep consuming it. Cool. Number five reflect. On this last year on 2024. I think the issue is that we are always go, go, go hustle, hustle. Hustle what's next. What's next? What's next? Here's my list of new goals. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And while that keeps us productive and hungry. Angry and I get it. It's exciting. And I'm building my business. And I love every moment of it. We don't make enough. Time though, to reflect on how far we've come. And if we don't make time to reflect on how far we've come. We will be stuck and trapped in that. Go, go, go mind. Mindset and nothing will ever feel good enough. We will never have a reason. Reason to celebrate. We will just be like, oh yeah. Okay. I made 10 K this month. Next. What about 20 K? What about. At 30 K what about 40 K? And we're on this hamster wheel. And we're stuck in the rat race. And so it's really important. To pause. Reflect and recognize. NYSE all my gosh, I'm such a bad ass. And this is how far I've come. And whoa, look at these accomplished. especially if you're looking at an entire year. Ah, don't underestimate yourself. There are going to be. So many wins and so many memories worth highlighting. And remembering. So one way to do this. I love to reflect on how far I've come, both. On a personal and professional level. By reviewing my journal entries. Trees. So this is for all my fellow journalists. I look at my past entries. I don't journal every day. So I appreciate that when this time of year comes. Otherwise, that'd be a lot of reading. But I do skim through. My past entries and I, I realize. Wow. There was something that was really bothering me and all. Oh, my gosh. Remember this fear and whoa, I overcame it. I haven't. Even thought about it since, and right. Like there's so many things. That you write down in the moment. That when you reflect on it. Almost, let's say a year later or half a year later. You're. Just like, oh my gosh. That's so small. Now it felt so big at. At the time and now it's so small. And that will actually add and help. Help you. Move forward, right? Because it expat. Spans your mind and makes you realize how strong. Strong and confident you actually are and how you can handle anything. Anything that is thrown your way now, if you are not. Not a journaler and you don't have anything. To relate to, or to go back to, I should say. Then you could go through pictures, like your photo album of. The last year, just to reminisce on everything that you have done. Done. Hopefully you documented some of it. You could also look at like past texts conversation. Patients with family or friends. As. Also a reminder of maybe what you did or maybe you're venting what bothered. Third, you like everyone has their own sources here. That they can reflect on obviously the most. Impactful. Would be journal entries, just cause those are your thoughts, your, your raw vulnerable. Durability's right. If you can't remember. Maybe call a friend, like what did we do this year? What was that thing? Thing in March or. You know, whatever, but I do think you should set. Set aside some time to have these moments to reflect super, super. Powerful. Okay. Number six. Gratitude letters. And I'm going to be honest. This is also something new for me. It's very easy to. Say what I'm grateful for, you know, with friends or family. Family. Because I talked to them often, it's like a no. Brainer. And I already share what I'm grateful for besides just the end of year. What I'm talking about are the people that you. I don't typically, you know, call or text that often. But you're still so grateful for them because they, they made. A mark on your life. So think of like mentors. Think about a parent that maybe you don't. Talk to that often, or you just don't talk to your parents. That much or even tell them what you're grateful for. Or. Or what about a sibling or what about an old friend? And maybe you grew apart, but you really do still appreci. Appreciate the time that you guys did have together. So, so. So it's those harder conversations or more uncomfortable. Comfortable because we don't talk to them every day. That's. That's why I want you to write a gratitude letter to, and it could be like, you know, in a acute. Like Christmas card or, or like a little letter wrapped up in. You know, a holiday gift box or whatever it is, you can. Be creative with this. Of course. But I think there's something so powerful. About a hand written card or a handwritten note because. Especially in our day and age with technology and AI. And texting and emails, something about. A handwritten note. Just show so much like thoughtful. Awfulness and that you took the time to do that because. Of course, it would be much quicker to send a quick text. But something that's hand. Handwritten. There's just something about it. That feels so much like. Bigger and much more impactful. So that's something. I'm also doing this year and I have to say I'm a little nervous. Because I feel like it's also like a little vulnerable. To share with, with someone that I don't typically talk to anymore. Why I'm so grateful for them. There's just like this powerful. Energy behind it, but I'm also so excited for. So wanted to share that with you guys. Let me know if you do it by the way I. I would love, like, I don't know if you are on the way to drop off these. The letters are cards like snap, a quick little photo and tag. Me, I would love to see that that would be so cool. Also. Also, speaking of sharing it with me, number seven, acts of kindness. Kindness. I mean, this is simple, right? And it takes two minutes of your. Day, perhaps. But yeah, it's like if you do something that is. Just an act of kindness. Take a quick photo and tag me. The. The one that I love to do. I don't wait until the end of the year. I do this throughout the year. But especially at the end of the year. Something. About a Starbucks drive through. Or let's just say any coffee drive. Through, I love to pay for the coffee for the person. Person behind me. But I never like they don't. No me, obviously, I don't know them. It's anonymous. I just pay. The, the clerk at the window. And I just say, It's scan my, my mobile device here again for the person behind. And me, and it's just such a cool feeling. It's it's like a win-win situation. Because I always feel fulfilled and I'm on such a high. Hi, when I do this. But it's also to them, obviously. Such a cool gesture and I'm sure it makes. Makes their day or are there so. So appreciative or just even like, wow, I got a free. Coffee today from a stranger, like just that kindness. I feel I can go a long way because you also never know what if they're having a bad. Bad day or, you know, you just never know like what someone else is going. Through and the internal battle and struggle that they might be facing. And so to get something like that from a stranger could mean, so. So much to them that could have a domino effect and a ripple effect. For, you know, their day and how they interact with people. And maybe they pass it along and they pay for the next coffee or you just. Never know where it could lead. So I really liked that one. That one's also just so much fun. Number eight, get. Healthy. Now, this is not coming from like a pressured place. Sort of like lose weight, get fit and 30 days. And that whole garbage and narrative. We're not talking about that. What I am talking about from a mental and. And physical place. Is like. Practice putting yourself. Self first. And when you set goals. Goals to put yourself first. I'm not talking about the ones that are out. Out of your control. So I hate when people set goals, like I'm. I'm going to lose 10 pounds by the end of January. It's like great. I love the ambition. Love the energy, but you can't control. Stroll how much weight you will actually lose by the end of January. Sorry. And also, why is it weight loss that that's like the north. The star. What if we change that narrative and we just focus on. On how can I feel better? More often in my physical body. And so instead of focusing on results, I'd rather focus on what. I am in control of like, you know what, I'm going to go on a. Walk three to four times a week for at least 30. The minutes. That's something you can do. And. There's no gray zone with that. Like some days it's going to be 45 sometimes. Maybe 46, 44. Like, you know exactly. Really I'm going to walk for 45 minutes, three times a week on Monday. Wednesday Friday and no one will stop me because it's not results. Driven it's much more of what I can do, right. It's in my, in my power. And then if. I lose weight because of that activity. And that was something I also was. Working on. Cool. But also focus on how do I. I feel now. Do I have more energy throughout the day? Do I feel. I feel better about myself. Does this help my body image? That's a much healthier place to start move. Movement in, if we're just focusing on the physical, mental. Are we doing meditation? Are we visualizing? are we focusing on our breath? Are we journaling? Like, like what are we doing for our mental health? Right. There's so many apps you can download, like calm and Headspace. Those are my favorite. When I first started meditating. Or. Are you going to work with someone? Do you want to make an invest? Vestment like coaches or therapy or. Whatever. Whatever, get a mentor, right? Like who do I want to work with? To also help me. With my mental, but. But also move the needle forward and whatever goal I have. So. That's a big one. Number nine, visualize your higher self. Self. And list out three things you can do. To begin showing up as her. So, I guess to keep it short, number nine. Visualize your higher self. But one way to do that. Is list out those three things. That you can start to do. To then show up as her. So, this is where the fun, like vision board comes into play. Play or if you're not familiar with scripting it's. This practice, this journaling practice, where you write about the thing that. You want as if it's already happened or happening. So for example, Let's say I want to. Create my first digital course. So on the vision board is a digital course. That one's easy, but script. Scripting. I would say something like. Oh, My gosh, I just launched my first. Digital course. And the response has been why. Wild more than I ever expected. I can't believe. Please. I already sold a hundred. Of. These at.$250. I can't believe that I just received this DM from someone. Congratulating me. This means so much, right? Like I'm talking about it as. As if it's already happened. What that does. Is it normal? Normalizes the thing that you want. Usually when we visualize. Ally's it feels so big or out of reach. But. If we can bring it in and we can script about it already, it makes it feel. I feel like, oh yeah, like that's going to happen. Because it feels. Feels so normal to me. So that's a really good exercise. But yeah, visualizing is so fun. I also do it after a workout. So. I love to work out in my backyard. Just simple. Bala bangles. My resistant bands, whatever it is. And then afterwards I sit there and I meditate. Which I just focus on my surroundings, the sounds, and then my breath. And get really calm. And then I shift. Shift gears. And I focus on my future. And it goes into a visualization and it's just the easiest way I can. Describe it is allowing yourself to just dream and imagine. And without any limitation as if you were a child again. I think of like a four-year-old. And their stories. And they're just like, I want to do this, or I just went here and Disneyland. Land and I want to be a princess. You know, like it's just kind of all over the place. That's how visualization feels. Like. There's just no limitations. I'm just dreaming. And then. I just picture, like, how do I walk? How do I talk? What am I. Wearing, what am I inviting and attracting into my life? What opportune. what people, the money, the clients, the relation. like, I just let my mind wander and go. Go without really fixating on an outcome or, you know, forcing. Sing it, I just let my mind go. And it's just so much fun. So I would start visualizing. Number 10, last one. Plan. For something that scares you. Yep. You guys. You're like, I don't know if I like this. I'll just stick to the first nine. Thank you. But this one's good because. If it scares you, it can also remember, feel exciting. Maybe it's just really exciting for you. Although you might feel those. Same symptoms of fear. Okay. Cause sometimes they're. The same. But if you get out of your comfort zone, Remember, that's where the growth happens. And you don't. I need to think big, you know, it doesn't need to be like, oh, I have to. Quit my job because I know I hate it or I have to leave my relationship. Because this isn't working anymore. Oh, I want to move cross country or. Around the world or whatever, like, those are huge, huge. Huge changes, which absolutely. If you want to go for. For it. Who am I to stop you? But for those that don't. Have anything that big, but you still want to stretch yourself and you want to get. Out of your comfort zone. It doesn't need to be big, but it can be these little bite-sized. Size examples. So like, you know, you try a new fitness. Anise class. What if you're nervous or what if you are in a new city and you don't know anyone. And you just want to put yourself out there a little bit more like I did when I was in. Chicago. I didn't know anyone. So I went to class, pass the app. App. And I just try different studios like yoga and spin and. Bar and and I just met different people and it. I was so much fun, but it was a little scary cause I was always the only. Only one. And I was the new girl. Right. I didn't know anyone there. So. So it forced me to socialize and say hello and meet people. But that's how I grew comfortable with it too. Now I love it. So something. Something as simple as trying a new fitness class, or if you're single. And ready to mingle, try a new dating app that you've never tried before. More or say yes to. The friend that. You always say no to, and just go have dinner with her or him or. Or if you've always been wanting to get a tattoo, get a little tattoo. To I have a butterfly on my wrist, so cute. And I love it. Do you want to try something crazy? Like skydiving? Paragliding or is that, is it paragliding? Gliding. I don't know. Solo date. If you're uncomfortable with the idea of going solo to a restaurant. I want, just to date yourself, try that. If you have always considered making the investment in a coach. If you have seen a group program that has been marketed. to you for years. And you've always been like, ah, I don't. No, just do it. Just fucking do it. It's kind of like this Yolo mindset. But it's such in a small way because all. Of these things just help you grow because it's out. Out of your comfort zone. It's like my personal examples. When I moved to Chicago, I didn't know anyone in Chicago. I. I left from LA to Chicago. Cross country packed up the car Burt. Burt came with me. He moved to a city that he's never even visited before. Before, by the way. And we didn't have co-workers we didn't have friends. And we didn't have family there. But we did it anyways, and we were perfectly. Fine. And we loved it. Chicago actually became like my playground because. I just, no one knew me. I was able to re identify myself and just had. So much fun, trying new shit. Or starting. Online, of course, that was scary. My first post on Instagram. Instagram. Are you kidding? I think I nearly threw up, but when I hit post. Post. But you do it anyways. Right. Like that is the growth. When I made my first investment, it was 900. A hundred dollars to my life coach at the time. And it was so scary. I was like, oh my gosh, what if this is a scam? I don't even know this woman. She's just going to steal my money. Whatever narrative I had in my head. And it was the best decision. Can I ever made. There were things that she told me. And that we talked through that I still think about today years later. So I've also had to make decisions throughout. Throughout my journey that forced me out of my comfort zone. But instead of leading with like fear. And worst case scenario. Scenario. I looked at it from a place of curiosity. I'll say, Ooh, I wonder what could happen from this dissing? Decision and always leaning on the side of excitement. And wonder and growth and expand. Mansion. Right. That was the lens that I moved through these decision. Decisions. So. I love that last one. Now again, these are just suggestions. And again, there's 10 of them. So please take one. Or two that resonate with you the most and start there. But also just focus on how you would feel after doing. A few of these, I think the feeling attached. Attached to, it says so much in terms of also what you need. So keep yourself. Honest here. And again, if you do any of these, please share them. On your stories and tag me, I would just love to see what. What you guys are doing. And if you are applying some of them. Okay. That's what I got for you this week. If anything, about. This episode resonated with you. Please do me a favor and take a screenshot of this. Podcast and post on your stories and tag me at Katia. RTI dot Lillian. I would love to connect with you. So thank you in advance. Advance and I appreciate you until next time.
