So get ready to uplevel your life and let's start building her. Okay, so let's dive into today's episode. I am going to go over my mastermind retreat, my immersion. So today's episode is a full behind the scenes of that trip. It's going to be the expansion I experienced, the up levels, the aha moments. The breakthroughs, the notes I wrote down everything. I am not holding anything back. So I'm gonna go over. The easiest way to discuss all of this is just the itinerary.'cause I think that alone was expansive. My favorite moments and memories, and then my biggest breakthroughs and takeaways. So if you've just ever been curious around, you know, what a retreat is or what happens when lots of different. Ambitious women get together in a room, then this episode is for you. So I really liked this trip because it was my first solo trip away from Amalia. So, uh, she's almost a year. Uh, December 5th will be one year. And I mean, she's been on my boob and attached to my hip ever since I gave birth to her, which I think is, I don't know, expected. There are other moms I know that, you know, take trips much earlier and I've gone traveling with her before just. Obviously not alone. So this was just a huge trip for me in that way. And I just didn't know I needed it as much as I did because in hindsight then of course I am like, oh my gosh, like I need to do this more often. But yeah, so it was my first solo trip away from Amalia. And then I just had a drive, so I didn't even have to go on the plane or anything. I just drove, and it was across the state, so from St. Petersburg to Fort Lauderdale, and it was really easy. It was actually only three and a half hours. But with breaks and everything, it was around four, but still super easy and convenient. And it was from a Tuesday through a Friday. So a Tuesday evening is when we arrived, and then it was two full days. And then Friday morning we basically packed up and left. So, when I got there I was a little early and some of the girls had already been there as well. So we all just went to this local cafe, talked, met each other, and then I drove three of the girls back to the house because I had room in my car and that was already just such a blast because I. I knew one of them, Sarah, but I didn't know the other two besides of course, our mastermind calls, but in real life I've never met them. So that was just a lot of fun. And then Anna High and one of the girls, Leslie, she was passenger seat and so she blasted music. She was our dj, and I rolled down the windows and like we pulled up to the house and it was just like such a vibe. Bringing such good energy already from the beginning. But the house was immaculate. I mean, it's this huge mansion. I don't even know how many rooms. Hold on. Lemme count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. It's probably like seven or eight room house. Huge kitchen vaulted ceilings, a huge backyard patio on the water on the canal where the yacht picked us up on Thursday, like just the most insane, beautiful house. So that was a vibe. And when we got there, my. Coach, she was already there with like her team and they all had their phones and, you know, cameras and she was live on Instagram, which I think was so genius and just welcomed all of us. And they had music playing and we kind of just, you know, we waited until most of us were all there. We all came around the same time. And then we unpacked or we put our bags in our rooms and then they ordered pizza and yeah, they were all just down in the kitchen talking. We eating pizza and salad. And then we had a little like welcome ceremony. So. That was already night number one, and then I shared a room with Sarah, which was really special because we both did this Mastermind the first time around, and so we already knew each other, so it was really nice and just comfortable. And I'm glad it was that way because I was breast pumping the whole trip. So I'm glad it was just someone that already knew me and so I felt comfortable breast pumping versus like someone new like, Hey, how are you? And I don't know, it was just really convenient. So I appreciated that. And then gosh, just, yeah, meeting everyone in real life was amazing.'cause you know, we're all on Zoom, so taking the zoom floating head to a human live body was great. And there was just like this energy of. Like, you know, when you meet people like they're my people kind of thing. You know, like just instant connection. Instant comfort. I also felt very understood and seen. I could totally be myself. I wasn't faking any conversation or pretending or like none of that bullshit, right? Like it was fully me being able to connect with other women and also no. One person drank. We popped champagne on the boat, but that was more for like vibes and marketing and photos and videos. And so we had champagne glasses, but I think I took two sips and then was already over it. And also. Kind of my fault because we were like dancing and talking with the champagne glasses. So by the time I even took a sip, it was already like lukewarm and I was like, this is not it. Like let me go get an ice cold, refreshing op from the fridge. Anyways, that was just really cool. There was like no pressure to, you know, drink or do anything like that. And then also everyone in the group, it was just like we were okay, just. Being ourselves and just kind of being for the few days we were there versus like, I don't know, I have to prove something, or I want all the attention, or I need to talk really loud. Or you know, like everyone was just kind of like whole and good and chill with who they are and where they're at in business. And then it was just. Kind of like open for other people to tap into that energy. So it was just a very inviting environment, the, uh, entire retreat. So I appreciated that too. Anyways the next day, day one was. The next day we were just hanging out. We had an early morning workout, so 8:00 AM She hired a past client of hers who now is a fitness instructor, so she came over to the house and led a workout outside on the patio, on the water. So that was really, really special and nice. And then she hired a personal chef all day. So he was in the kitchen, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And so by the time we were done with our workout, breakfast was basically served and it was eggs and potatoes and fruit parfaits and croissants. And he even had a Breville and made us all lattes like really, really special. So that was that. And then lunch was. S sorry. It was a panel, so she invited four other women, seven figure entrepreneurs to come to the house, and then they did like a live panel discussion in the living room. And gosh, that was Reese from Yes Supply. That was Andrea Crowder. That was McKayla Jay, and that was this girl named Lucy. I hadn't known her before, but she hosts events in Miami, so she drove up from there. But I. It was just, uh, such an amazing panel. And then more so the conversation was huge, and I'll get into my takeaways and all that stuff, but just the fact that we had a live panel and that these really highly esteemed women came to the house was amazing. So that was super special. And then that same chef made like a mushroom risotto and salad for lunch. So that was really nice. Then we all sat outside and ate it. And then, yeah, we just got free time and if you wanted to chill and hang out by the pool and then later it was. Gosh, I don't even remember. We did breath work with Miss Susie, who is also a guest expert in the big shift, which I'm just really proud of'cause she's like the best of the best that I've ever. Experienced breath work, she makes you just feel very safe and seen. So a lot of people appreciate that. But yeah, we had a breath work session and then followed. We had dinner, which was steak and mashed potatoes and carrots, and then like this lava chocolate cake, like kind of crazy, but also very, very delicious. And then the following day we had also breakfast. But you know what? I can't, I don't even remember what breakfast was because the whole day was totally empo overpowered by the yacht. What was for breakfast? Yeah, I don't remember. I feel like it was like egg. Yeah, I think it was, oh my gosh. I remembered it's, it was like these egg rollup things. And then. It was like, oh, little muffins and stuff. I think it was catered in from Pura Vida, and then it was like, yeah, like these banana nut muffins or coffee cake muffins. So yeah, just like, you know, standard egg muffin type stuff. But then the biggest. Thing was the yacht. The yacht pulled up to the house at like 10:00 AM and we all went on board and it was just the biggest butt I've ever been on. And we blasted music and we had conversations and we did a photo shoot and we did content. And some of the girls did like dancing content and. Oh my gosh. We were there for like four hours and it just passed by, so that was so special. 10 to two. And then we got off and we were all pretty tired. Some people napped, some people just chilled by the pool, some people did content, but we were all just kind of chilling. And then we all got ready and went out for dinner, which was at Todo, which is a really nice restaurant on the water. And that was like some of the best sushi I've ever had and like. They had these B bun tacos. And dessert was ice cream wrapped in rice crispy treats. So it kind of looks like sushi, but obviously dessert. So good. And then the next morning we had another breath work session with Susie and then they catered in breakfast. So it was like breakfast burritos with overnight oats. That's a little itinerary for you. And it was just like the perfect amount of time also to fill my cup and make real connections with the other women. But then also being away from my daughter. So by the time Friday morning came around, I was pretty ready to head back and that was really special'cause I came back on a high, and again, it was like a four hour trip, which wasn't long at all, you know? Do calls and voice notes and things like that, checking in with my clients and dropping into CEO Mastermind and talking to my one-on-one clients. So it was just really special that I had that dedicated time while driving back. So it was really nice. So that was the itinerary. I wanna go now to my favorite moments. So out of everything that I had just listed, number one, arriving at the house and meeting everyone in real life. So just that first meet and greet was so special for me. The buzz, the energy. I told you how I met Leslie. S and Samantha in the coffee shop or the cafe. And then I offered to drive them to the house'cause it was like a mile down the road. And then how Leslie became the dj and we were just like blasting music and dancing and rolled down the windows. Like that was such a vibe. And I think the reason why it was such a special moment for me is because it's like this realization that online friendships. Have can become so much deeper in person, right? Like obviously that was the beginning, but towards the end it's like I've made really, really deep connections with these women and I'm so excited.'cause some of them can be lifelong, right? Like that's the beauty of a mastermind. Like anytime you put yourself in the room. And you meet people, it's just like, oh my gosh. Like they get me. I don't have to fake it. I don't have to pretend and I don't have to justify or prove anything or teach anyone anything'cause they get it. They understand. They know it. And that is the power of putting yourself in these rooms and investing into these masterminds. And that's the power and we'll call it, of proximity, right? Because you don't just learn from people, you feel their energy and you get to like calibrate to them and and rise above with them. And yeah, just meeting someone in person is a whole different to have that arrival moment. Number two is the breath work session with Susie. So I had to bite my tongue earlier when I was going over it in the itinerary because I wanted to tell you already what came up for me. But basically I didn't know I needed to release any emotions. I thought I felt pretty good and, you know, excited to go to this retreat, but. In the breath work session, I was just surprised with how much came up for me. So number one, it was the most intense. Breath work session I've ever had. I've had an intense one at Tony Robbins and, uh, with Rob Dial at his retreat. I've done so many with Susie, but this one was almost like I needed it. Like my body wanted to release something. And so the way we breathe is through the mouth the entire time, but it's through the stomach, through the chest, and then out through the mouth. And it's like that three count. Each time, so through the belly, chest, out through the mouth. And it's kind of like a wave of breathing as she calls it. But normally it's just kind of like a, I don't know, like a soft breathing and you can pick it up as the songs go on. But right away my body was like, we're going in. And so it was just intense. Suzy even had to come to me. You know, during the breath work, all our eyes are closed. We have eye masks on and everything, but she had to come over and she's like, slow down your breathing. Breathe through the nose. Like I had to calm it down because it was so intense, which has never happened to me before. But I think the release that I needed and didn't know it was healing as a mom. So if I think about it now, in hindsight, the minute I gave birth to Amalia, I mean, I've poured everything into her. And so when I think about. Have I taken care of me? Sure. There's moments where I sneak away to read or to journal or you know, to work out or to meditate. Sure. But you know, that's 10 minutes here. That's 15 minutes there. And a lot of people say, that's all you need. That's all you need. But it's like, is it though? Because a year of doing little things like that is not. Adequate enough, and I cried a lot when I was in that breathwork session because I haven't given myself the chance to heal as a new mom. Everything was for, and still is of course, my daughter, but I almost didn't heal as like the woman separate from the mom identity. And through the breath work, I was able to reconnect back to me, Katya, before I became a mom. And I think that's why it was so powerful'cause. I haven't done that in a year since having her. What I saw then was also word, so Susie said the word responsibility, like let go of responsibility, and that word really hung on stayed with me and I was like, why is responsibility and. Uh, why is it staying with me? And what I realized is I put so much pressure on my shoulders to basically like, make shit happen here with my business. And when I think about like Bert and my family, it's like, oh, I'm not really letting them in. And like, I don't wanna say helping'cause. Obviously she's so little. But I guess what I mean is like a perspective shift in terms of like, this business isn't just mine. It doesn't have to just be on katya's shoulders. It could actually be the family's business. It could be the family's coaching program. Like yeah, sure. I'm like the spokesperson for it, but it's our family's company. It's our family's brand, if that makes sense. And what that. LED to was like, we already share finances, but even more so like letting Bert have more of like a say in terms of what I do with the finances and at least you know, my cut or, or contribute more to the family's pot versus just my pot. It's kind of hard to explain because. This all came up in breath work, but it was just such a relieving feeling of like, Kaia, you can let go of some of this pressure. It doesn't have to be all yours. Like you can share this responsibility with your significant other and trust that you know you need his opinion or you need his support. Or maybe you both look at the finances together versus you looking at it first and deciding and then telling him later. It was just such a really, really powerful message to receive. And I already made some changes and already had a conversation with Bird, and so that's already underway in terms of making some of those financial changes and company changes and things like that. What I also saw was, butterflies. So I have a butterfly on my wrist and that was from a retreat with Rob. And I saw the butterfly and it was such a beautiful image of and, and sign of It's time for you to evolve. It's time for you to go full-time in your business. And that's why I got that butterfly. But then I saw Burt as a butterfly and I saw Amalia as a butterfly right after I let go of the pressure. And I thought that was so beautiful because together we can all fly like butterflies and do this truly as a team, as a family unit. And then I think it would be so special on my wrist if I got also like a bigger butterfly to represent Bert and then a little one representing Amalia and all kind of like in a line floating. So. I know that sounds kinda like trippy, but that's what I saw and I think that would be so cool to always look down at.'cause I still do at my butterfly on my wrist, I mean. That retreat was probably three years ago, you know, and I, maybe even four at this point. And I still look at it and I still remember it. It was like such a significant turning point in my career. So I think I'm gonna do that. I think I'm gonna get two butterflies on my wrist. What also was so beautiful is I saw my child self, like as Amalia's age. I saw her playing with Amalia. So think of you as like a little child and you're playing with, if you're a mom like your son or your daughter, like how powerful is that? That's so wild. And it totally just reminded me of this childlike wonder, you know? And never losing that curiosity that we all had, uh, started with. So, yeah, it was so beautiful. It, it shifted. How I saw myself, you know, as more than just now a mom, I was able to reconnect with the woman that I am, but then I also was able to let go of some of the pressure that I put on my shoulders as the CEO and founder of my company and share that with Bert. So, yeah, it, it was beautiful. And, and you know what's so powerful with breath work, if you haven't done it before it, it tells you things that your mind just hasn't. Caught up yet to, or cannot explain to you in like a logical sense. Like the fact that I see butterflies or that I see my child stuff playing with Amma, like that's kind of crazy, you know, like that lives in my body. So that's really cool that that came up for me, and hopefully that inspires you to do breath work as well. If you want, you can DM me on Instagram because I have a breath work expert coming into CEO next year. So that's gonna be really cool. We're just gonna introduce breath work as a part of our CEO program moving forward. We've never done that before. And then what we're also going to do is, or in the big shift, Susie, my breath work expert from the retreat. She also is in there too. So I add breath work to all of my programs. Number three, the yacht. Like, hello. That was just what is my life? You know what I mean? Like it was just stupid, stupid in the best way, like. This yacht pulled up to the house in our backyard on the canal. We have it for four hours. We have snacks, we have drinks. We have champagne. We have a videographer. We have a photographer. We had music. It was just. What is life? And it was like on a random Thursday, you know what I mean? It was kind of like a pinch me moment. And the weather could not have been more perfect. Which is kind of crazy too with this trip because it was the whole government shutdown and the flight debacle and then, oh no, the weather, there's a cold front. And so of course the, you know, there could be all this fear and stuff. Not one person missed out. Every single girl that booked a flight made it. And no cancellations, no delays. We came from all over the world. And then also the weather was fabulous. It was like low seventies, partly cloudy. And then the sun came out, of course, right when we're on the yacht. Like you could not paint a better picture than that. So, it was also really funny and it was kind of like a. Maybe gratitude or just kind of like a funny awareness, if you will. The captain asked us, are you on a bachelorette party? We're like, of course, just a group of girls together on a boat. Everyone thinks bachelorette party and probably thinks like we're drunk, you know? But my mentor handed it so well, she was like, oh, like, no, these are my clients. They're my mastermind. And then he was just like, oh. Like no follow up questions. But something that was like a huge takeaway. What I wanna leave this third point with was that you are allowed to have both. You're allowed to, you're allowed to do the work and be successful and have a lot of money and all the things, but you also get to play and you also get to have fun, and you also get to be a child, and you also get to follow your highest excitement. You get to do both. It doesn't have to be a, this. OR situation, it gets to be an and situation. So I just really appreciated the yacht and that day because it reminds me that life gets to feel like a vacation when you build your legacy, when you build your own business, when you believe in the thing that you are doing here on planet Earth and what you're doing it all for, right? That was the biggest takeaway for me. Wow, life gets to feel like this 24 7. There is no such thing as, oh, I have to go back to work on Monday. It's like, no, let's integrate this play and this yacht life into a Thursday. You know what I mean? And then lastly was the panel discussion. And I'll talk more about my specific takeaways, but I just really appreciated having the women come over to the house, obviously meeting these badass women in person. It was insightful, it was raw, it was real, it was expansive. There were phrases, there were quotes that they all shared that truly like shifted something inside of me, like resonated with me so hard and yeah, I just really appreciated. How like normal they were. Because sometimes I think if you're not around like millionaires for example, or I don't know, people who start their own business, it sometimes feel it feels farfetched, right? And like outlandish and I could never do that. But then when you hang out with people who are already doing this, you're like, okay, like actually they're pretty normal and you know. Like being a millionaire is actually pretty cool and you know, they're just a normal person behind it. And finally, my top takeaways, number one, this was on the last morning after our breath work session, but one of the other women in the mastermind said, I realized I'm living my dream life while building my dream life. And just the way she said, that phrase resonated with all of us. We were all like, Ooh, and like we're snapping and clapping and stuff. But it's true. It's like. I am currently living my dream life, the dream that I've always thought of back in LA and Chicago days like having my house, having my backyard, having a pool, 10 minutes from the ocean, married to my husband, having my first child with my dogs in this house that we have in Florida, like it's just wild. Like this is. The dream, having the soul clients, having my group programs, having my podcast, all of this once was a dream, and now I'm living that dream life. But here's what happens when you live your dream or when you have your dream life. Then there's another dream that you want, like there's levels to this, but it doesn't mean that my current life is like bad anymore. Like I'm so grateful, like actually everything is perfect, but I get to still tap into abundance. I get to still want and have more, and that's that other dream life. So I'm already living my dream life. Like life is good. We are joyous, we are grateful, we are happy. We are abundant, but I'm still in the process of building my dream life, and I think most people have to choose one or the other or think they have to choose one or the other. It's like, no, you get to have both. You don't have to like suffer your way to the top. You get to enjoy the process while you're creating your next. Level your next dream. And just by her saying that, and it was so perfect like on the last morning too, right? It was like, oh yeah, like there doesn't have to be anything wrong. Just this is good the way it is, but I get to also continue my abundance, continue to grow, continue the expansion. So I just thought that was such a beautiful thing that she had said. Number two, my business is a stock market chart. So this was during the panel discussion. Andrea Crowder shared this, but business is not linear. I would actually say personal development is not linear, right? We think it is, but it never is, and there's gonna be lots of ups and downs, and there's gonna be times when you know, it ebbs and it flows. And so I think if you picture a stock market chart right now and actually see the ups and downs, you can see like, okay, today was a really good day and then tomorrow not such a good day. Kind of like the stock market. Like, oh, we made some money then, ah shit, we lost some money. And then, ah, we made some money, then we lost some money. But if you zoom out. After like six months of all the ups and downs, their trajectory, like it's still trending up and to the right. And that is how I look at my business now, right? Like expansion and building. It's not perfect, it's not linear, but it do make progress even when you go down. It is a stock market chart. You don't freak out during the dip. You stay. Focused on the long term vision. And this perspective was so huge for me because it freed me a little bit of this pressure and like sense of timeline and expectations and it was more of just like, just focus on. How it's going and trending up and to the right. So even in the dips trust that the dip is actually leading you to the next up, right? For every contraction there's an expansion. So the way she. Use that analogy. Your business is a stock market chart. I was like, oh my gosh, this is gold. Last one. When your business is at a well-oiled machine, you then know you are ready to scale. So this was also from the panel discussion. This was from Reese who founded Yes. Supply and. What she said was like, the moment you can sign another client without any more work tied to it, you know, you can scale because you have systems in place that carry the effort. You don't have to do much of the efforting anymore. There are systems in place where people can drop in, get the freebie, get the nurtured emails, get the masterclass, get the offers, get the urgency, whatever it is. So that the content and then the call to action, and then the emails, and then the upsells, and then the cross sells, and all the stuff behind the scenes. Your system is good to go without you having to put more work in and be present. Then you know you're ready to scale and the way you scale is through ads. You could put ads behind any offer really, but. Probably low ticket or maybe mid ticket, anything that would be easily to easy to convert with again without your presence. So I really appreciated that because I'm at a place in my business where I'm noticing I'm the bottleneck. And my business has to thrive and function with me still in it. I have my one-on-one and I have my group, which I love, but at the same time, I don't have like a digital course. And I don't have systems in place behind the scenes with like an email series and an upsell offer, or, you know, I have nothing like that. Now. I give myself grace, like I'm not trying to, you know, be hard on myself here, but just this discussion alone, open my eyes to the possibility of what is my next level in business, right? Like I don't have to give up my one-on-one or my group because I love those containers. But in the background, I could absolutely start creating a system that just helps work for me as well, a little bit more, versus always my sweat equity as we call it. So yeah, it just clicked for me in my head when she said that in the panel. So it was really, really powerful for me. Alright, so that's what I got for you guys this week. I really hope just sharing my story and my experience helps you also understand that there are opportunities out there for you to get in the room. And you know, shameless plug over here. This is why I created my own group programs. This is why I created my own masterminds. This is why I'm gonna create another mastermind in the future. This is why I wanna also have a retreat in the future because I understand the power of not only online masterminds, but then also in person retreats because. It's just life changing for people. I get a fucking tattoo every time I come back from a retreat. So yeah, I think it's just really important to invest in spaces that stretch you. And you know, you say yes before you feel ready, and you choose expansion, and you choose the, holy shit. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm gonna do it anyways. And you just fucking go, right? Because you're choosing expansion and wonder and leading with childlike curiosity versus staying stagnant and comfort and stuck, right? Like, which one would you rather choose which path when you're 80? And you reflect on decisions that you make in terms of investments, guarantee you're never gonna be disappointed. I guarantee you're always going to be proud of those decisions that you made because the ROI ON them is just unmatched. There is no cap to it. When I can say I come home as a different woman with all these little nuggets of wisdom and the expansion and the healing that I had in the breath work session, like I'm coming back as a better mom, as a better wife, as a better coach, as a better entrepreneur. I'm softer, I'm clearer, I'm bolder. Like everything is just an uplevel. Like that is the ROI. And a lot of us talk about the invisible ROI that that's not cash immediately back injected into my business, but I just upleveled and then you have to consider how does that translate into my business and into my client's lives. So. I'm just really excited for this season. I know we're coming up here on Black Friday next week, and it is just on my heart to give everyone listening to this a chance to put themselves first and take that risk and make a bold decision even if no one in your life gets it. They don't have to. This could be your. Experience your secret, your up level, whether it's in the big shift, which is the last time I'm running this, or in CEO, which is the business mastermind for early and aspiring coaches, or in a one-on-one container. I have two spots available only for 2026, which is wild, but it's like get your foot in. The door, get your seat at the table, make shit happen for yourself. And I promise you, you will never, ever, ever regret a decision like that. So that's what I got for you guys this week.
