We dive into:

  • 🧠 The fears that come up around investing: losing money, making the wrong decision, failing, being judged, even fear of success
  • ⏳ Why not investing is actually more expensive when you think about time, missed opportunities, and staying stuck
  • đź’¸ How I went from my first terrifying $900 life-coach investment to multiple 4–5 figure business investments
  • 🔍 The invisible ROI no one talks about: identity shifts, energetic upgrades, proximity, emotional maturity, and rewiring your relationship with money
  • đź’¬ The difference between asking for permission vs. asking for support (and how it changes your whole energy)
  • đź’Ą Why you don’t need to “feel ready”—you just need to be courageous

If you’ve been sitting on the fence about getting in the room, joining a program, or hiring a coach, consider this your loving big-sis wake-up call. The moment you bet on yourself is the moment your life starts to change.

So get ready to uplevel your life and let's start building her. Hello everyone. Welcome back to the building her podcast. I am currently recording this in my closet. It's Wednesday, November 26th. Everyone is off for the holidays. If you're here in the US we're celebrating Thanksgiving and there's just this energy. In the air. I came back from my hour long walk with the doggies and baby girl, and it's one of my favorite things. It's such a highlight of my day because I go out in the neighborhood and more often than not, I'm running into my neighbors. They're out on the lawn, they're watering their grass, they're drinking coffee, whatever it is. But I usually always run into someone and it's actually such a, a nice way to start because I want that human interaction. I mean, all of us do. We're wired for human connection and so it's just really nice to start the day with that type of human interaction. In my morning. But as I was walking today, there was just so many people, more than normal, out and about. They were walking, they were doing yard work. There were a lot of people doing housework in one specific neighborhood actually, that I love Jungle Prada, if you're local. Oh my gosh. That is like my dream neighborhood. If you know any house. For sale, you know, let your girl know. But yeah, it, there was just this energy and it was really special and it really made me excited now for, gosh, the next five days because I. I don't have any calls. I just, I'm recording this podcast episode and then Friday I meet with my content queen and yeah, that's about it for this week. So let's dive in to the topic of discussion. Because as I launched my Black Friday deals on Monday, and they're good until the following Monday, December 1st, everyone that I have been talking to and with is afraid of investing either. It's your first time considering working with a coach or getting into one of my programs. Either way, it's still this new concept of why would I take my hard-earned money and invest into myself? And there's a lot that comes up for people when you even think of that idea. And I'll go through all of them, but I, I find that more often than not, and when I take a step back and I really look at the life that I've built and the career that I've built by design, by my dreams. Does that make sense? By my dreams? But you understand what I'm trying to say. I, I take a step back and I'm like, it truly was the power of investing into myself and into my business. And it's not even just myself because every other part of my life. Was positively impacted and my family benefited. Right? So I just wanna take you down memory lane and talk about what I've invested in and what has changed. But I also want to talk to you in terms of what might be coming up for you when you do think of investing into yourself, whether that's. Private mentorship, whether that's a group dynamic, whether it's just an introduction of personal development, whether it's business and you want to be a coach. I mean, there's so many ways to do this thing. And I just feel like the majority of us still don't know one, what coaching is too comfortable with investing in ourselves. And, you know, rightfully. So no one has really taught us, I feel like investing into coaching specifically is still a new concept. I mean, I've been doing this for five years, but you know, I'm biased. So when I look out and talk to people, they still have never worked with a coach and they don't know what a coach is. And you know, they don't know even where to. Start, I think post COVI in 2020. A lot of therapy was discussed like Get a therapist. Get a therapist. Mental health. Mental health. It's okay to not be okay. Like that was the narrative. And so now therapy has become so normalized. But coaching people still confuse coaching with therapy and yeah, it's still a new concept. No one's really talking about get a coach, get a coach, get a coach. So I just want to highlight my, take my experience with investing and then you take what you need from it. Like with every episode that I give you. But I think the, the overlying message here that I want to share right off the bat is that the, we always think investing is expensive. My pro of view is the only thing more expensive than investing in yourself is actually not investing in yourself. Because my most valuable asset in life is time. The only thing above everything else, even health, it's time. And I think that's been more highlighted ever since becoming a mom because it's kind of crazy. But when you become a mom, or if there are other moms listening to this, you can resonate. But every day with my child. I know I will not get back. So every new gesture she makes, every new mannerism she makes, every new word she says, every new you know, thing she discovers with her body, whether she can stand or crawl or whatever. I will never get that moment back. Right. And so when you watch something like a child so closely and you're with them all day every day, it highlights how precious time is even more so. And so it's, it's forced me to put time as my number one value, my number one asset in life. So. That has helped me in so many ways in terms of my calendar and time blocking and prioritizing and all that stuff. But what I've realized is if I sit on the fence and if I say, ah, maybe next time or if I wait to decide on something, I'm actually wasting time. And that is more expensive in the long run because. I'm not getting what I want. I'm not getting any younger, I'm not getting any closer to the goal. The more I just sit on it and wait and see what happens, right? Like I have to be a go-getter. I have to be proactive. I have to say, you know what? This is what I'm gonna fucking do and I'm gonna do it. That's it. Because 10 years down the road. That shit's gonna be expensive. You see what I mean? So that's my first thought for you all. But I do wanna address some fears that come up in investing because I didn't always look at investing this way. I was just like you if you've never invested before, where I just had no idea. And there was a lot of fears that came up. And I'll go into my specific story here in a minute, but, huh. The first like fear that came up for me was if I invest this money, I am going to lose the money. Right? So I never saw money as like cyclical or a value exchange. I always just. Saw it as going down and I will have less of. So if there's something for a thousand dollars, well now that a thousand dollars is out of my bank account, I lost it. It's gone and it went down. So losing money, that was the fear. Another common fear that I run into when I have these conversations with uh, prospects is people are afraid of making the wrong decision. They're like, if I invest thousands of dollars and it doesn't work, well then, you know, I'm the the idiot and I just lost. So much money and I made the wrong decision. Uh, fear of failure, right? Well, what if I do this and I commit and it doesn't work? Or what if I don't show up the way I want to or whatever. Uh, fear of being judged to even say that you're working with a coach to even say I want to improve my life. I want to work on myself. I want to, uh, prioritize personal development, all that stuff. If there are people in your world, family. Uh, friends, coworkers, and they don't have a coach. Well, then of course, you're the odd one out. Fear of success. What if it does work, then I might be a new version of myself and my current life might not be as comfortable anymore, right? There might be some tension that would require me to change a few things. Expectations and. You know, there's, those are the top fears that I can think of and that those came up for me during my investing journey. But again when I have consultation calls, this comes up quite a bit. So I think the reframe for all of those, and this whole conversation's hopefully going to be a massive reframe for you, but. You have to consider in life every big change that you ever make, investing or not. It's always proceeded by a moment that feels uncomfortable, that stretches you out of your comfort zone every time moving to a new location. Getting a new job, quitting, asking for a raise, asking for a promotion ending a friendship, mourning and grieving a friendship so that you can get a new friend. Like all of those moments are huge life changes, but it's. Let's have new friends come in. Oh, yay. I get to talk to my boss today about a raise. And he might say, no, woo. Like, it's never exciting. It's always uncomfortable and it always stretches us. But what's on the other side of all that outcome aside, it's how you grow in that moment. You lose a friend. Well, what do you actually gain in terms of growth? You just set up some boundaries. Right. You're like, fuck it. I'm not just gonna be this people pleaser anymore. I'm gonna decide who my friends are. Not because of history, not because of who our friend group is, but because I decide if they make me feel good or not, if they support me. Right. Like look at the growth in that decision right there, regardless of a new friend comes along or not, which they will, right? But the focus is on you and your growth. If you build up the courage to talk to your boss about money, I'm sure you're gonna rehearse some lines. I'm sure you're gonna ask some friends for role play. I'm sure you're gonna Google, I'm sure you're gonna whip up. Whip out chat, GPT. And ask, how would you word this? How would you phrase this? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? But you still have to get in the room. You still have to make the call, and you still have to make, have the conversation. And so it's uncomfortable, but yet you still did it. And therefore, when you're on the other side of that big scary thing, you grow, you get a bit more confident because you're like, holy shit, I'm still alive, I'm still here. I'm still breathing. Right. Pinching yourself like, okay, we're real, we're good, we're here. That's how it works. So what I would also say with investing, when you actually invest in yourself and you make the decision to invest, you are already like 50% stronger. On the other side, you're already 50% more confident just in the decision alone, regardless of what even happens in the coaching program and the aha moments and the takeaways and the up levels and the expansion that is. Side, you deciding to invest by yourself, making the decision, feeling the discomfort financially, and just saying, fuck it, let's go. That is already 50% of the transformation because you're already stretching yourself out of your comfort zone. Another thing I really wanna talk about when you invest is the invisible ROI. Especially when it comes to a business mastermind or a business coach mentorship program, we are so hyper fixated on. The ROI return on investment. So if I pay a coach 10 grand, I better make my money back and then some, what is my profit? And everyone wants that fucking guarantee. If I invest 10 grand, can you guarantee that I'll make 20? Right? Everybody wants the ROI, which again, I get it. I've been there and I thought the same thing as well. With my first business investment, I was like, I better make this shit back. And then some. Otherwise, this coach sucks and this program was a failure. That was my mindset. But after I've invested now. Several times into business mentors and masterminds and programs. There's this other huge part that we do not talk about enough with business investments, and it's called invisible. ROI. This is simply the gains, the change, the uplevel, the expansion. You can't see on a sales page. It's invisible because how in the world am I supposed to tell you all of the reframes and changes? And up levels and expansions and boundaries and, oh, self-awareness. Self-belief, self trusts that you gain from investing into a coach or into a program. I could not possibly. Spill all that out. There's one too much. Two, it's in your own transformation. You might actually have a transformation in terms of your self-concept and what's possible and how much money is out there that you could really make, and another person could grow so much more confidence in their voice and show up online more and in a different way. Two very different up levels and experiences, yet still both were invisible. So I wanna highlight about, uh, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, let's say subtopics underneath that umbrella of invisible ROI, because this is the biggest shift that I see when. People invest, myself included. So number one, it's the identity shift. So when I invested into my first coach ever, she was my life coach. She was$900. And for a nine week group coaching program, I nearly shit my pants. I was so nervous. And after I invested, which by the way, I didn't ask or tell family Bert friends, no. Like, it was a private decision that I made for myself, and I'm so proud that I was able to do that because I knew I needed it and I wanted it. But in that moment after investing, what started to happen is that I became the woman who was more confident in her own decision making skills, and I was building up self-trust because again, I didn't tell or ask anyone else's opinion. And I really wanna highlight that for those of you who always, always, always say, I need to talk to my husband first. I need to talk to my significant other first. We share finances, like I get it. Totally understand. Thousands of dollars coming from the account. I get it. It might raise some eyebrows, but there is such a big difference when you already make the decision by yourself and decide, I am going to do this because I know as a woman, as an individual, I need this for myself and I fucking want it. I don't need permission from anyone else. I am just going to do it and make it happen. When I go to my significant other, or when I went to Bur after I made my first investment, I told him to support my decision. Hey babe. I made this decision. I just paid$900 to this life coach I found online. Never met the woman before. Never even listened to a podcast before. I don't even know what her Instagram handle is, but I found some article that I Googled. She popped up. Every single word on her sales page resonated with me, so I just said, fuck it. Let's go book the console call. And I paid, I paid$900 for nine weeks. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm scared as hell, but I knew somewhere deep down that I needed this. So I need you to support me. Can you do that? I mean, he was like a deer in the headlights, but he, he like, yes, whatever you need, babe. Right. That energy and that conversation is so different then. Babe, so, I have something pretty serious to talk to you about. Do you, do you have a moment at dinner or sometime this weekend. Uh, yeah, sure babe, but like, what's up? You're kind of scaring me. Oh, well, no, I'm, it's nothing too serious. I just, ah, you know, my coaching, I really wanna get my business off the ground and, ah, I know I've made some past investments that weren't the greatest. Ah, but, you know, I'm feeling really called to work with this girl named Katya. I don't know. Maybe it's stupid, but what do you think? I just really wanted your opinion. What the fuck do you think he's gonna say? Like, no, not a good idea. Let's not spend 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, whatever the number is on your business, because recognize the energy that you are even having the conversation with. You don't sound reassured, you don't sound confident. You are not speaking with conviction and they feed off of that energy. Anyone. Would you see what I mean? Like you can't lead with that type of energy and expect them to be like, oh yeah, you can do it, babe. Woo. So that's a side tangent for you, but that's probably number one.'cause I only work with women and I would say 90% of the women that I speak to always, always, always do not make a decision for themselves. They have to go first to their significant other, and then they have to talk about house projects and cars and holiday shopping and. Blah, blah, blah, blah. We're not talking about coaching as just another expense over here. In the midst of your new kitchen sink and your son's new Christmas gift, we are talking about something so life changing, so transformative. For you to feel better, to look better, to gain confidence, to get the new job, to make more money, to ask for the sale, to put yourself out there online. Actually convert people into your programs, onto your free master classes. That is not something that we can mix in with the budgeting and with other shit going on in our lives, like the house, uh, projects and gifts. It's not even the same conversation. So I became the woman who made a decision based off of me, myself, and I, and I followed through. Once I made the decision, once I paid, I'm like, I'm fucking committed. And that was a huge identity shift after my first$900 investment. That is the power already right there of investing. I haven't even started the program. It was just swiping the credit card. Where that started to happen. What also happens when I speak of identity shift, I'm not talking about someday, maybe someday. It's like, no, you need to start living it. You need to start preaching it. You need to start becoming it. You need to start building it now. Because time keeps going. The world hate to break it to you. Society does not wait for you. We keep going at lightning speed. I am 34 years old, I 34, and I view it as such a ripe time in my life, in my career. Oh my God, I have decades in front of me to make shit happen. I've come this far already, oh my God, gimme another five years. I'm gonna be on the moon. Right? And I'm excited about the change and the growth and the transformation and the impact that I can have. So why in the world would I say someday? I would just be pushing that off. Hell no. Right? Some days not given, and some days not even promised. I have group programs, the big shift in CEO, which are on sale now for Black Friday, and the big shift is the last round I'm doing live. I don't even know if I'm gonna bring it back as like a digital course or what's gonna happen. I don't know. I'm the founder, I'm the business owner. I can do what I want. All I know is the time in my life and the energy behind the big shift and the impact and the results that it's already had. It. It's the season for it. It has to end. And so imagine you were thinking about the first round of the big shift, and then you thought about the second round of the big shift, and then you thought about the third round of the big shift, and you kept saying, someday, well now it's your last chance. And if you don't decide to join the big shift, even if you've been on the fence for it for some time. That chance is gone. That door closes and you will not have some day to join because it's gone. It doesn't even exist anymore. Like let that sink in for anything in your life. If something feels right and something is pulling you, now go and fucking do it, because someday is not guaranteed. Also, if you're a coach and you invest into something, you tend to see yourself more now as a coach or as a leader, or as more seriously as an entrepreneur, right? It's not just a simple investment, let's say my business mastermind, CEO, of like, oh yeah, let me just, uh, pay Katya here thousands of dollars, and let me just dabble and kind of just see what this is all about. No, there's a reason behind the price point. You pay$4,000, even if it's on a payment plan. And you're gonna show the fuck up. But that is scary for a lot of people because now what does that do to your identity? Well now, oh shit, I gotta be serious about this coaching thing. I just invested 4,000, which, by the way, it's on sale for 27 99, just saying. But now, oh, I have to put my coaching hat on and become more serious. And now become an actual entrepreneur. I can't talk about it anymore. I can't think about it anymore. I'm actually doing it. You see how the transformation is in that investment alone. So identity chefs is huge. Energetic upgrades is the next one. So when you invest, your energy says. I'm serious. I am doing this. And that is so huge to the universe. When you invest, you are telling the universe, let's fucking go. Right? You have to invest first. You have to make the move first. The universe will follow. The universe will back you up. The universe will support you, but you're telling the universe, now I'm done. Fucking around. I'm now serious. And the universe will move in your favor. You also show up differently. You have a different energy because you now have skin in the game. You show up to the calls. You do the work, you show up online, you send the dm, you book the call. You ask for the sale, you show up differently. The way you hold yourself changes everything. Your life is your perspective. Your reality is your perspective, so your reality will change once your perspective changes. How does your perspective change? Everything we just said, the investment, the energy, the transformation, the shift, the confidence, the expansion, the stretching out of the comfort zone. So you and your energy changes. An example, imagine you meet someone new and they're like, oh my God, what do you do before an investment? When you're talking and thinking about coaching, you're like, oh I don't know. I work for a tech company and you know, I'm kind of dabbling in this coaching thing online, but I don't really know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? But then let's say you invest and now holy shit, this just got more serious and you're more confident and someone asks you, oh, so what do you do for work? You're like, oh, I'm a life coach. Thank you so much for asking. That's different. You guys, you might just sign a client. That person that just asked you is like, oh shit. I've been looking for a coach and now this chick over here is a coach and she sounds so confident and speaks with conviction. I actually wanna. Invest in her. You move different when you invest your energy changes. Number three, proximity and environment. I really hope this is self-explanatory, but once you invest invisible, ROI, oh my gosh. Especially in a mastermind. So this is separate from one-on-one, but like in a group container like CEO. You're in the room with other people that are doing what you want to do, whether they're a few steps behind you, whether they're right neck and neck with you, or whether they're a few steps ahead of you. You are in the room with other people who are like-minded and want the same. Thing, do you think you will benefit from that energy? Do you think you will benefit from that type of mastermind? Do you think you would benefit energetically? Do you think it would become more possible? Do you think you would feel more heard and seen? Yes, because you borrow belief from your mentors and your peers wins before you have your own. Lemme say that again. You borrow belief from your mentors and, and your peers wins before you have your own. You. I say this all the time. You do not need to have belief in order to get started. Even in order to have results, you could sign your first client and make thousands of dollars without even believing it's possible. Truly, because all you need to do is take action. The belief, confidence comes after the fact, but it's so much harder doing it yourself because that bitch in your head is so loud. You are not good enough. You're not smart enough. Why the fuck are you doing this? This is a waste of time. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You guys know who I'm talking about. But when you're in the room and a mentor keeps telling you, keeps ingraining it into your head, you can do this, you can do this, you can do this. Here's why. Here's proof. Here's money, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Result, result, result. But then also you're like, ah, yeah, okay, well that's Katia. She's had years of experience. Or, oh, that's whoever. That's Oprah, that's who else? Big people. Jamie Kern, Lima, that's Tony Robbins, whatever. But then you're in a room. And there's another person that no one knows their name because they're a small fish, and yet they just sign a client for thousands of dollars and then, oh, they just launched a podcast and oh my gosh, they just launched a group program. Do you think that would help you believe in the possibility for you also to do the same? It shows you what's actually possible in real time. That is the power of proximity and environment. Just the belief if you had to pay$10,000 to get your foot in the door, to get your seat at the table, to get in the room just to actually have belief. That it's possible. Would that be worth it to you first thing that comes up? Would that be worth it to you? For me, obviously a thousand percent, yes. And number four, clarity and direction. So when I first started, I had. So much fear around investing and honestly didn't even think about it as an option.'cause I put it all on my shoulders. I was like, I have to do it and I have to be better and I have to prove that I can do it. I don't know. Some badge of honor thing. I moved through that and got over that, thank God. But what I realized is it was so much trial and error and it just took time. It took years and years and years. And that's the only quote unquote regret that I have in my journey is I would've just invested sooner. Like if someone just said, Kaia, stop trying it by yourself. Like just invest in someone who's already done what you wanna do. That's it. So what happens when you invest? And again, invisible ROI, it's minimizing and short cutting your path, your journey. Less trial and error, more roadmap, blueprint, more. Follow this and you'll get the same results. So clarity and direction is so helpful. You get feedback, you get strategy. You get perspective, you get permission that you can't see on your own. That is invaluable. Number five, emotional maturity and resilience. This is building your own business, is personal development on crack, building your own business. Is personal development on crack. The emotional maturity that you gain from building your own business, the resilience you gain from building your own business is unmatched. You learn to regulate fear. You learn to regulate doubt. You learn to regulate comparison. You learn to regulate discomfort. You grow into someone that can handle success. You grow into someone who can handle. Quote unquote, failure because you have built so much fucking self trust that if something comes up or life throws me a curve ball, I will be able to handle it. This is why it's so important to take the stairs and not the elevator to the top, to the journey, the successful business, whatever. Shiny vision you have. You have to take the stairs, you have to do the work because once you do and once you're at the top, you won't have this fear and anxiety of it all coming crashing down because you've done the work, you know how it was built, and so you're like, oh my God, I can just build it again. That is so huge and to regulate fear, doubt, comparison, discomfort. Do you, can you imagine that benefiting your personal life, your relationships, decisions you make? Within your family as a parent, right? This all spills over into your life and to other people's lives, and they watch you handle shit with emotional maturity and resilience and emotional intelligence. And now they're like, damn, what? What is she doing? I want, I want some of that. Like that. You cannot put a price on. If I just, again, using my same example, I invest$10,000, but I learned how to regulate fear, dow comparison, discomfort, and I grew emotional maturity and resilience. I think that's worth the$10,000, even if I made$0 back because I know with all of that gained, it's just a matter of time. Last one. Rewiring your relationship with money ta. This was huge for me. Huge. Huge, huge. Still going through it, there's different levels to this shit. I had to rewire my relationship with money. I still say a poem about money every single night before I go to bed. Do you guys wanna hear it? This is off script. Okay, I'm gonna say it'cause I have it memorized. I love money and money loves me. Money feels safe with me and loves being in my presence. I, I have simply decided the better it. Gets the better it gets. Abundance is here to stay. Thank you, God, for all of my continued blessings. I love knowing the more I serve, the more I receive. I am open to more miracles now. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That is something I say every single night. Do you think I would say that if I didn't build a business or if I didn't rewire my relationship with money? No. Absolutely. Fucking not right? I would just see money. It came in every other week. Spend, spend, spend, spend, spend. Not really appreciate it. Not really be grateful for it. I probably tack on all the debt'cause my consumer habits are filling some kind of void, right? So me just saying that money poem every single night was grown from a place of betting on myself and taking the risk and investing thousands of dollars and building my own business. I have changed my relationship with money. I trust myself to spend, I trust myself to invest because I trust myself to make it back. I shifted from scarcity to expansion. I truly shifted from scarcity to abundance. There's so much fucking money out there. It's not real. It's energy. It's created. Scarcity is an illness. It's a mindset that has been taught to us, but it is not true. Scarcity is not a thing. If you look at our world, we have so much, so much, so much. I cannot stress that enough. And when you truly believe and think money, I mean now I used to think like dollar bills were just kind of floating above my head. If you have that visual aid. But now it's just, it's a series of numbers, especially if you think of Bitcoin and crypto. Are you kidding? That that shows you even more so that it's fake. It's not real. We literally created now the digital money that's not even backed by gold anymore. It's not even a solid product paper thing that you can hold. It's a tap, it's a scan of the face, like, are you kidding me? Money is abundant and I want to highlight again this entire. List that I just went over that these are the invisible compounding returns that no one talks about, but they change everything. They are even more important than the money you make because if you spend 10 grand and you actually make 10 grand back, 20 grand back, 50 grand back, whatever the number is. You need the belief. You need the regulation of the fear, the doubt, the comparison, the discomfort, because just as quickly as you made it, guess what? You can also lose it. And so the bigger question is, can you hold money? Does money feel safe in your presence? Do you know what to invest in when you make the 50 k? What are you even gonna use the 50 K for? Are we using it to pay down debt? Are we putting it towards retirement? Are we blowing it on a shopping spree, right? So we have to go through these investments and these programs and this coaching for us to become the person. That can even hold the amount of money we are calling in now. I wanna address the fears that I brought up at the beginning of this episode and give you some reframes in different ways to think about it, because our mind always goes to that worst case scenario, which I understand our brain's here to protect us and all that stuff. So if we think about investing, we're like, ah, it's just. To waste of money or what if I fail or what if it doesn't work for me? Or what if it's a scam? That was my first limiting belief around my first investment. I thought it might be a scam, but here's the real worst case scenario, okay? If I wanna be incredibly honest with you, you stay exactly where you are. If you do not invest in yourself, in any program, in any coach, even if you feel pulled and called to you, stay exactly where you are. Nothing changes. Another year passes. You repeat the same patterns, the same habits, the same fears come up. If so, normal to you. You have no idea how to handle that, how to reroute your thoughts. You keep dreaming. Instead of doing, you keep Googling, you keep chat GP ting instead of growing, you keep scrolling instead of showing up online and asking for business. You stay overwhelmed. You stay confused. You stay stuck. And your potential potential is never realized. Your potential sits unused. You will never find out what you're made of. You will never find out your potential. You will never be stretched out of your comfort zone. So that is the real worst case scenario. Back when I said that invest not investing in yourself is more expensive than investing in yourself. And I say that because not invest. Is also a risk. We always think investing is a risk. Well, not investing is a risk because staying where you are, that's number one. And all of the reasons and all of the things that you will be doing and not be doing that I just listed, but also staying where you are costs you time. Confidence, opportunities, peace of mind, income potential. Fulfillment actually loving your life. Do you see what I mean? I hate using the word failure, but even failure actually has a positive ROI. Because you learn what works. You learn what doesn't. You build resilience through the tough times. You go and grow through the pains, you build evidence that you can do hard things. You gain clarity on what you really want. So an investment is never wasted. Your worst case scenario, you know what it actually is. You fucking grow. You learn. You're not in the same place that you were next year. I. That is your worst case scenario. When you invest, you grow and you learn and you change, and you're not in the same place next year. Now I say all this with so much conviction, with so much heart, with so much love, because I've been through it. I did my first$900 investment into my first life coach when I was 28 years old. I said, I nearly shit my pants. I was so scared. I was trembling, but I fucking did it. I felt the fear and I did it anyways. Second investment was into my business mentor Rob Dial. I paid$7,500 to be a part of his three month group coaching program for early and aspiring coaches. I didn't know what the fuck I was doing, but I was like, okay, here we go. This feels scary, but hey, I just did it a few years ago with$900. So I recognize this feeling. So I felt a bit more confident in doing it. So paid him 7,500. I did not make$7,500 back in the first three months. I did make, mm, what was it, 3,800 because I signed my first client and because I signed my first client, I was welcomed into a part two of their program. Which was three more months, and I think it was four grand. So I invested again. I literally took all my$3,800 earnings and added$200 to it and invested again,$4,000. Guess what happened? Signed another client. Signed another client. So in signing the clients, I'm doing the work. I'm building the confidence, I'm gaining the clarity, I'm building the emotional resilience and maturity and intelligence to handle the fear, the doubt, the worry, the comparison. So I am getting stronger and stronger and stronger emotionally and mentally and spiritually, and that put me on my path. Of surpassing 100 K in one year. Then I found my female mentor, Sam Daly, because I was like, I wanna launch group programs. I wanna launch a podcast, and then she shows up in my feed. Every word resonated with me. I was like, okay, let's fucking go. And I'm still working with her today. Oh my gosh. I don't even wanna know how many thousands of dollars I've paid. But look at where I'm at. Look at what it's built. I have the podcast two years in. I have the group program, the big shift. I have the business mastermind, CEO. It's there because I invested, because I had the mentorship, because I was brave enough to put myself in the room to be expanded. I will never forget it. I had hit my first 10 K month and I was like, oh my God. And oh my gosh, that's such an incredible milestone to pass. However. And one of her masterminds, this was in 2023. Another girl was there and she's talking about what she's working on and whatever, and she was like, okay, well I just had my 10 K day and, and she said it, so like nonchalant. And I had a double take and I was like, well, like what? 10 k day. And she's like, oh yeah, like that's normal for me. Like that. That happens all the time. And it was also passive because it's from one low ticket offer, digital course, by the way. And my mind was blown. I was like, holy shit, you can make that much in a day. Also, from a$200 digital course, that unlocked a new level for me. Forget the money that I'm making. That right there, that belief. Right of I can make 10 K in a day simply because I was sitting in a room in a mastermind where a girl had that experience now gave me permission to also go do the same. That is worth any amount of money. So I have been investing since 28 years old. I'm 34 now. That's six years. There have been pauses in between there. Sure. But. If I wanna keep growing, if I wanna keep learning, if I wanna keep reaching new levels, both personally and professionally, investing is just a part of the business budget at this point. It's a tax write off ladies education, constant education is a tax write off. This is not giving you tax information or incentive. Just wanna. Put that disclaimer out there, but it's a tax write off. So I'm gonna keep investing in myself and in my business for as long as I'm here in my coaching business. It would just honestly be stupid not to. So I think what I'll say to start to tie a bow on this. I think what would really help you is how to know when it's time to invest because there are certain things you can do by yourself and. But again, not too much'cause you don't wanna waste time. But I think there's like certain things that stand out to me in my journey of knowing, oh my gosh, okay, yes, let's fucking go. So number one, you're just tired of trying to figure it out alone. Like maybe like my story, I tried it for two years by myself before I hired my first life coach. And I was just tired. I was tired of the trial and error. I was tired of throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what stuck. I was just like, there's gotta be an easier way. Right? Show me universe. Show me God, that there's an easier way. And I found it, universe answered. You know, more information isn't solving your problem. So the Googling the podcast episodes, the books, it's not actually helping you move the needle in your business. You're still getting in your own way. You're still stuck in the same habits, habits and patterns and limiting beliefs and people around you that aren't doing what you wanna do, and you're still taking their advice. So, you know, it's not about just finding more information, it's actually now finding someone who's a few steps ahead of you has done what you want to do, and they will solve your problem. You can feel the version of you who's ready. So there's like energetically this version of you that's creeping up to the surface and you're like, ah, okay. I think, I think this version of me is ready to go. You've outgrown your current environment. That's people, that's job. You're like, get me out of here. I want better. I want more. I deserve more. You're done playing small. You're done just kind of going with the flow of life and seeing what will happen and you even feel the pull energetically, you feel a pull because every word they say resonates with you, and every word on their sales page resonates with you. And oh, here's a deal. Here's a window of opportunity where I can save hundreds, thousands of dollars. Okay. Let's go even if you're scared. Last thing I'll say is when you invest another reframe for you, it's when you investing is circular or cyclical. It's not linear. So the money you invest always comes back in. Whether it is. Cash money, two clients, three, confidence opportunities, boundaries. Your identity shifts, the energy upgrades, the time saved, the mentorship support. I mean, the list goes on and on and on, but you have to start looking at. As not, okay. It's reducing and it's outta my bank account, but it's actually coming back to me in several ways that are, again, some of them, most of them, invisible. Investment is not an expense. You gotta stop looking at it as that way. It's an expansion every single time. So a few questions. For you guys to marinate on what's one area of your life or business where you've been trying to do it yourself, and if you were being honest with yourself, is it working and is it moving at the speed that you would like it to move? What would be the version of you who believed in herself? What would she invest in, and what's the real cost of staying where you are? Make a list. Let your brain see it and feel it like, oh shit, this is the real cost of staying where I am now. Remember, you don't need to feel ready. You just need to be courageous. Ready is not a feeling. It's a choice. And also, fuck Cnce. I wasn't confident when I first started. I still don't really have that much confidence. If we talk about imposter syndrome. What I rely heavily on in the beginning days and now is actually courage. So don't feel ready and don't wait for ready, and don't even think, oh, I wish I was more confident to do this. No, lean into courage, bravery. Feel the fear, and you do it anyways. Because the moment you bet on yourself is the moment your life starts to change. So I love you all so much. Black Friday is here. You have today's Friday, so you have four more days to get your, get your cute ass in a room. The big shift starts in January. CEO starts in March. Or I have two spots available if you're craving one-on-one private coaching, but all three of those have amazing deals. That money is gonna come back to you tenfold, and I believe in you, and I will believe in you before you believe in yourself. Every time. So I love you so much. Thank you for being here. DM me on Instagram at Katya dot Lillian, if you have any questions, I'm here to support you. I'm not here to sell you or push you down the wrong path. I just want to support you and help answer any questions that you have. I love you all so much, and until next week.
