Meditation Safety Instructions

Speaker 1

Please listen to this guided meditation in a quiet, comfortable space where you can fully relax. For your safety, avoid listening while driving or engaging in any activity that requires your full attention. This meditation offers support for your well-being, but it is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Trust your inner guidance and pause if anything feels uncomfortable. Welcome to Healing a Kindred Spirit's Meditation Monday. Wherever you are, however you're feeling right now, I'm glad you're here. This is your time, a few minutes carved out just for you to slow down, to breathe and to be held gently. In the present moment, with so much going on in the world, so much noise, change, fear and uncertainty it's easy to feel overwhelmed. You're not alone in that. We all feel it and we may feel it in different ways, and it's okay. This space is a soft landing, a pause, a place to return to when it all feels like too much. So let's begin together. If you can find a comfortable position, either seated or lying down, let your hands rest softly. Close your eyes if that feels good. If not, just lower your gaze. This is your space Now. Take a deep breath in and let it go slowly One more time. Deep breath in and gently out, let your breath find its own rhythm, not forcing it, just allowing with each breath. Feel your body gently settle. Feel the support beneath you. You're safe here. There is nothing you need to do, know where you need to be. Just this moment in your breath. Let's bring some awareness to your body. Notice your feet resting heavy, relaxed. Feel the ground beneath them solid and steady. Now your legs releasing any tension they're holding, allowing gravity to take it. Your hips, your lower back, a softening your belly, your chest, letting the breath move freely through them. Just gently breathe In and out. Gently breathe. Now focus on your shoulders. Maybe they've been caring more than you realize. Let them drop just a little. There you go. Unclench your jaw, soften your face. Let the whole body know that it's safe to rest.

Visualizing Your Safe Place

Speaker 1

Now, now, in your mind's eye, begin to imagine a path. It might be a forest trail, a sandy beach, a quiet garden, anywhere that feels peaceful and calm. This path leads you to your safe place, a space that belongs only to you. As you walk this path, you begin to notice the world quieting around you. To notice the world quieting around you. With every step, you feel lighter, less burdened and more at ease. Now you have finally arrived.

Speaker 1

Take a look around. What do you see? What, what colors, what textures? What's the light like here? Are there any particular scents to take in? Maybe you hear a bird song or the sound of water nearby. Maybe there's a soft breeze on your skin.

Speaker 1

Whatever it is, let this place form fully in your imagination. This is your sanctuary, your private escape. No one needs anything from you here. There are no worries, no news, no pressure, no stress, only peace.

Speaker 1

Take a deep breath in this place and release it slowly. This space is always within you, a place you can return to when the outside world feels loud or uncertain. You might choose to sit here for a while or lie down or just be. You are safe, you are held. You're not alone In this space. You are never too much and you are always enough.

Speaker 1

Take a few moments and just let yourself be in this space. Let these gentle words wash over you, taking what resonates with you, and let the rest flow by. I am safe in this moment. I am safe in this moment. It's okay to pause, it's okay to rest. It's okay to pause, it's okay to rest. I don't have to have it all figured out. I can hold uncertainty, with compassion. I am doing the best I can, and that is enough. Peace is always within reach. I am not alone.

Closing & Final Thoughts

Speaker 1

Take a few moments to just listen to the music and let your mind wander for a few. Whatever thoughts come in, acknowledge them and let them go. Begin to gently bring awareness back to your body, feel the surface beneath you, wiggle your fingers, your toes, let yourself return slowly. But know this your safe place is always here for you. You can come back to it anytime you need to, whether for a minute or an hour. It lives within you. When you're ready, you can open your eyes, take one final breath in and let it out slowly. Thank you for taking this time for yourself today. The world may be uncertain, but you have an anchor, and it is you. You are grounded, you are resilient and you are deeply worthy of peace, namaste.
