Welcome And Safety Notes
SPEAKER_00Welcome. This is an original guided mindfulness meditation from Donna Goodette and Healing of Kindred Spirits Podcast. Before we begin, please find a comfortable place where you can relax without interruption. This meditation is intended for mindfulness, relaxation, and personal reflection. It is not a substitute for medical, mental health, or professional care. Please do not listen while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention. And now, if you're ready, let's begin.
An Invitation To Rest
SPEAKER_00Have you ever wished you could set down the weight you've been carrying? The grief, the worry, the disappointments, the old hurts, the expectations, the responsibilities, even just for a little while. Not because those experiences don't matter, but because your heart deserves a moment to rest. Day's meditation is an invitation to step into a peaceful sanctuary within yourself. A place where compassion replaces judgment, where healing is welcome, and where your heart can simply be held with kindness. The next few minutes there is nowhere you need to be, nothing you need to fix, nothing you need to figure out, only this moment, only this breath, only this gentle journey home to your
Breath And Full Body Softening
SPEAKER_00heart. Allow your eyes to softly close. Take a slow, comfortable breath in through your nose, and gently exhale it through your mouth. Again, breathing in and breathing out. Allow your shoulders to soften, let your jaw relax, relax the muscles around your eyes, and allow your hands to rest comfortably. Notice the surface beneath you supporting your body. You do not need to hold yourself up right now. You are supported. You are safe. You are here. With every breath, imagine tension slowly melting away, like ice softening beneath the warmth of the morning sun. Nothing to force, nothing to change, simply allowing. Bring your awareness to your feet, then notice any tension, and then gently release it. Allow that feeling of relaxation to move into your calves, your knees, your thighs, your hips, your lower back, your abdomen. Allow your stomach to soften and let go of any need to hold everything together. Allow relaxation to spread through your chest, your shoulders, your arms, your hands, your neck, your face, your forehead, your scalp, your entire body becoming just a little softer, a little lighter, a little more at ease.
Entering Your Inner Garden
SPEAKER_00Now imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a beautiful garden. This is unlike any garden you've ever seen. Because it exists only for you. A sanctuary created by your heart. As you step through the gate, notice the gentle colors around you: soft greens, lush pink blossoms, golden sunlight filtering through the leaves. The ear is comfortably warm. A light breeze brushes gently across your skin. You hear birds singing in the distance, a small stream flowing nearby. Everything feels peaceful, welcoming, and safe. As you walk deeper into the garden, you notice that every flower, every tree, and every blade of grass seems alive with compassion. It's as though this entire place was created to remind you that you are worthy of love. Be exactly as you are. Nothing needs to be earned here. Nothing needs to be proven because you simply belong.
Naming The Heavy Stone
SPEAKER_00As you continue walking, you notice something in your hands. It's a stone. Perhaps you hadn't realized you were carrying it. But this stone represents whatever feels heavy in your heart right now. Maybe it's grief, a disappointment, a fear, a regret, an old wound. You don't need to name it unless you want to. Simply notice its presence. Notice its weight. How long have you been carrying it? How much energy has it taken to hold on to? As you walk through the garden, you arrive at a small crystal clear pond. The water reflects the sky above just like a mirror. You kneel beside the water. And when you feel ready, imagine gently placing the stone beside the pond. Not throwing it away, not denying it exists. Simply setting it down. Give your heart permission to rest even for a moment. Take a slow breath and notice how it feels.
Heart Light And Self Worth
SPEAKER_00Now bring one hand to your heart. Imagine a soft emerald green light glowing beneath your hand. It's warm, comforting, and gentle. With every breath, that light becomes brighter and brighter, expanding through your chest, moving through your entire body. Imagine this light carrying compassion. Not only for others, but for yourself. Allow these words to gently settle into your heart. I am worthy of love. I am worthy of compassion. I do not have to carry everything alone. My heart deserves kindness. I am healing at my own pace. I am enough. Just simply breathe, allowing the words to be received like sunlight nourishing a flower.
Receiving Unconditional Love
SPEAKER_00Now if you can, imagine someone or something that represents unconditional love just to you. Perhaps it's a loved one, a beloved pet, an angel, a spiritual presence, nature, the universe, God. You decide. You decide the symbol. Notice that loving presence standing beside you in the garden. You don't need to speak. You don't need to explain. You don't need to perform. Just simply receive. Imagine that presence wrapping you in a blanket of pure love and compassion. A feeling of being completely accepted. Completely loved. Exactly as you are. Let's rest here for a few moments. Simply receiving. The green light in your heart continues to glow softly. You know you can return to this garden anytime you need comfort. Anytime you need peace. Anytime your heart feels tired. This place will always be here. And so will the wisdom within your own heart. Take a slow deep breath in and gently exhale.
Returning With Gentle Blessings
SPEAKER_00Begin noticing the surface beneath you once again. Notice the sounds around you, the room you're in. Wiggle your fingers, your toes, and when you feel ready, gently bring your awareness back to the present moment. May your heart be gentle with itself. May you release what no longer belongs to you. May you find comfort in moments of sadness. May you find hope in moments of uncertainty. May you remember that your worth has never depended on how much you give, achieve, or sacrifice. And may you always know that you are deeply loved exactly as you are. Thank you for sharing this time
Closing And Journal Prompt Reminder
SPEAKER_00with me. And if today's meditation resonated with you, be sure to look at the journal prompts and affirmations included in the episode description. Until next time, be gentle with yourself. And remember, you are never too much. And you are always, always enough. Thank you.
