First of all...no. Not quite. But I got your attention, didn't I? Recently a *Retrospective case study with meta-analysis* was released that basically purports that there is no place or evidence for Calcium Chloride/Gluconate in Hyperkalemia without ECG changes, no place or evidence for Calcium Chloride/Gluconate in Hyperkalemia WITH ECG changes, and really no place for sodium bicarb either. Let's read between the lines and see why we should not quite pump the brakes on Calcium just yet.
