Ok, I'll be the first to admit it...often I overlook the RDW-SD, MCV, MCH, and the MCHC. Why do we need these anyways, I just need the WBC, RBC, H&H, and platelet count! However, these components, known as the RBC Indices, gives us a lot of information towards our differential diagnosis' when it comes to blood issues. If you have no idea what these are, or need that refresher, this episode is for you! We will also take a look at the various components of the leukogram, including the neutrophils, basophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and immature bands, to help us better understand our patient's conditions.
