Power often rides in the backseat, and Joe Washington has spent years at the wheel. We kick off season three with the trusted driver behind Northwest Arkansas’s most intriguing routes, funded early by Don Tyson, introduced to Alice Walton as “my friend Joe,” and frequently answering calls that start with “President for Don Tyson.” Joe shares how a simple code, safety first, discretion always, turned an ordinary service into a career that spans yachts in Italy, private airport pickups, and late-night runs for A-list guests.

We unpack the origin of NWA Transportation, the moment Don and attorney Kenneth Morton helped Joe get started, and the everyday discipline that made the relationship last for more than a decade. Joe takes us inside bucket-list drives down Don Tyson Parkway and across Walmart campus, then into surreal phone moments with Clinton, BB King, and other legends. He explains why he’s not “ride share,” how bookings from coastal agencies land in his inbox, and how a full-evening model beats point A to B when clients value privacy, flexibility, and calm.

The conversation stretches into culture and craft, why a bottle of Creed becomes a calling card, how a sleek black Escalade branded with Team Direct and the emerging Platform identity turns heads without shouting, and what it takes to manage luxury logistics without breaking the trust that earns them. Golf fans will lean in at stories of John Daly, a polite pass on Augusta for its no-cart rule, and a respectful glimpse of Michael Jordan’s high-stakes club life.

It’s a story about Bentonville’s gravity, Walmart’s orbit, and the quiet professionals who keep both moving. If you love behind-the-scenes business, service excellence, and the human side of power, you’ll feel right at home. Subscribe, share with a friend who geeks out on logistics and leadership, and leave a review to tell us which story surprised you most.

Come back next week for more stories from Joe in part 2!

Like, season three is here, and our first announcement is Jim's officially a part of the podcast.

SPEAKER_02

There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Jim's here. Is that exciting? I I love it because you know, when I can't make it, I don't have to hear shit from you. It's less pressure, right? It's less pressure. And Jim's good, but all additionally, you know that you guys can't make it. Her schedule's just opened up.

SPEAKER_02

Let's book a vacation, Matt.

SPEAKER_03

But more importantly, how I feel today, like you know when it's Christmas time and the whole family's home, like the crazy cousin Bobby or the Uncle Matthew or stepson, like everybody's here.

Jim Joins The Show And Studio Banter

SPEAKER_01

It's like super exciting that we got everybody back today. I mean, it's I'm so happy. I'm happy that you're here. I know you two are getting happy. He looks very anxious. No, it's a new year. Just happy to be here. I'm happy to have you. You want to take your jacket off the stable? No, it's cold. I mean a sweater on. Look at it. It's cold. It's cold. Oh my god. I mean, it's crazy. Yeah, depending on how it goes, I might just have to leave. Well, that wouldn't be the first time. Yeah. Well, we're here for about season three. You believe we had a hundred episodes. 98 of them have been my guest. Is it only? It's only a hundred? Well, a lot more than stuff. But exciting. The good thing about having a hundred is in year three, we're going to film and release every other week. Oh. I knew you're excited about that. And then in between, we're going to do like a best of. Okay. So the first one's going to be like Blakeman, remember, from the old studio? Yeah. So I was editing over the weekend and it'll be live. Um, and the two segments are great. It's the purple bag and it's Prosecco. And it's just so funny to see how timeless some of the stuff is because purple bags and the tree for Christmas. So we're excited. So we only have to be here to film 26 episodes instead of 52. Thanks. I love it. So I can count on you guys for at least 10 of the 26. We have to be twice as good now, Rob. Oh. Oh. Does this mean our pail be cut? Yes. You can go from zero to zero times two. Iksney on IP. Okay. Fire and talk about it.

SPEAKER_02

You must have just brought this to celebrate. This is the best bottle you've brought. Everybody being here today. Wow. Everybody here, it's like I felt a sense of pride that we had to write.

unknown

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_03

I'm drinking today. Oh, you're drinking. Oh, good, good. No, you know what I knew? Rob said this morning he wasn't going to drink much today.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. So we can he was good at our last meeting out of water. You want something, Bottom?

SPEAKER_01

I'm uh a little nipper. A little nipper. A little nipper.

SPEAKER_02

Something like a little peer pressure to get in. Yeah. I'm not going to pass on a toasted make dirse.

SPEAKER_01

I brought it for you. So once you said you weren't drinking, I knew that I would have more for me.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. Okay, so now the truth's coming out. That'll come in just. You've sorted one. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome to Season. My daughter. My daughter loves that. I love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I love that strawberry is the best.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, that's what she likes to.

Introducing Joe Washington, “The Car Guy”

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. That's great. Yes. That's right. I'm going to let not let Matt do what I do to him. I'm going to keep it close to me. When Matt brings something good, he kind of finds its way over towards me. Oh, it slides over. It's nice. Well, after many tries, we have Joe here.

SPEAKER_03

Now, Joe's last name is Washington, but I call him Joe the car guy on my phone.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Now, Joe guy. Joe the car guy. But Joe has turned us down twice. So he's like you guys. So the first time I said, You come and he goes, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And he goes, Oh, I gotta pick up Alice Walden. I can't make a name drop. Then the next time I said, You're gonna come, he goes, No, I got John Daly in the car today. So, like, I feel like very, very excited that you actually made it because you hang with the elite and we're just well, it's work. You know what I mean? It's work. But somebody gotta do it, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's right. Someone's gotta do it. That's right. That's all right.

SPEAKER_01

So your and your company's called NWA Transportation, is that right? Yes. And and we can go see it on NWA Transportation.com. But like give us a flavor for s some of these names that you've driven around town, some of the local celebrities in Northwest Arkansas.

Origins: Funded By Don Tyson And Early Years

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, you know, they they probably wouldn't look at their self as celebrities, but I certainly would. Like, probably my uh what most what people most know me from is Don Tyson. Okay. So when I first started the business, basically basically um Don Tyson and Kenneth Morton, which Kenneth Morton is an attorney in Fairville, and Don Tyson, of course, owns Tyson Chicken. So they basically funded me to start a transportation company. Um and then Don Don kind of got sick and he wasn't driving anymore. So his son, John Tyson, said, Hey, you drive my dad. That was my gig for Can't say no to that. Cannot say no to that.

SPEAKER_02

And you probably got Herman's every day.

SPEAKER_00

Every day.

SPEAKER_02

Shout out to Herman's friends, friends of the podcast. As we say, where's the Nick at? We really get all the stories.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Every day. So, so yeah, so that that was my gig, man, for I guess about 13 years until Mr. Tyson passed away. So, yeah, I I mean my probably my I've done a lot of stuff, been with a lot of people, but probably my most famous thing, well, two of my bucket list things were driving down Don Tyson Parkway with Don Tyson in the car. Because normally you don't get a road until you did. Am I right?

SPEAKER_02

That was awesome.

SPEAKER_00

No, you never do. You never you don't get a road or highway or by or you know, till you till you pass away.

SPEAKER_01

It's like getting an invite to Josh's house. Yeah. You usually don't get one until you pass the road. It's more like being an artist. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You you do really get your paintings aren't worth anything until you pass the ride, isn't it? That's right. That's right.

SPEAKER_01

You've never driven down Matt Mars Court before? Matt Mars Court.

SPEAKER_02

That is pretty cool. I didn't realize that that they already have that road was open when Don was.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they so one day, one day we're at the office. They call him and say, We're gonna name this, we're gonna name this road, Don Tys. Parkway. It's like, no, you're not. Which is like a main road now. Yeah, he was totally against because just he just doesn't like stuff like that. He doesn't he's just not that guy. He's totally against it. But it's against his son, John Thompson. Yeah, we're doing it. That's what we do.

SPEAKER_03

See, Matt would have been like, I don't want just a parkway. I want like 49th and go at Mars, Matt Mars Highway. Yeah, parkway's not enough.

SPEAKER_02

I would have been like Mr. Tyson, I wouldn't want it to be.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he's the best man. And so we did that. I was able to plant a tree, that tree in front of his headquarters. Don and I planted that tree. So I was able to do that. And then my next fondest bucket list was driving down Walton campus with Alice Walton in the car. You see what I'm saying? So so that just doesn't happen. You know, most people can't, a lot of people can't say that. How do you get from Don Tyson to Alice Walton? They're great friends. They were great friends. So I met Alice through Don. Don't later he was really sick. Alice came over one day to visit. So I'm down in the basement and Don said, Joe, come up. So I come up. I want you to meet Alice. Alice. Alice Wall. Oh shit. Oh shit. Alice. He never introduces me as this is my help. Or he works for me. This is my friend Joe. That's awesome. We go to dinner. We go to the restaurant. We drop him off. He waits for me to come in. He introduces me as his friend. That's awesome. I don't care who we be. With Mr. Clinton, when I first met him, hey, this is my friend Joe. I mean, on Don's obituary, there were three people as his um honorary Paul Barrett's. One of them was me, the other one was Willie Nelson, and the other one was Bill Clinton.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Three important people.

SPEAKER_02

Amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Two important people.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know about three, but when I was honored. Hey, Willie Nelson is important. And he'd be a great guest in season three. Willie, if you're out there, season three of the podcast, we have open slots.

SPEAKER_00

But I was honored to do that. And so um I was able to hang around Willie a lot with Don. No weed with Willie, though, right?

SPEAKER_01

Oh you can't say that out loud. But let's just find it. Put two and two together.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He's like, they're just left-handed shit.

SPEAKER_00

It was the best. But can you imagine? Can you imagine like being at someone's house? And um, you know, you're just a normal everyday guy, you just go to work every day, and the phone rings, and and Don says, hey, grab the phone. And you grab the phone one day. Rachels might call you. Wow. D.B. King may call you. And I'm being dead serious. One day the phone rings, the phone says, President for Don Tyson. President of what? President of what? President of the United States for Don Tyson. Shit. Stop pranking me. Did you hang up the phone? I know.

SPEAKER_01

I said, hang on one second. Well, there's one thing I can say with certainty, and that is Ray Charles would occasionally need a driver.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, no, no. Well, I I've never driven him before.

SPEAKER_01

I've never driven him for before, but he's definitely.

SPEAKER_00

No?

SPEAKER_01

That's a good point to give. That's a good point. He's never. Unless he has a Tesla. Unless he's got a Tesla.

SPEAKER_00

So the president's on the phone? President's on the phone. Which president was this? Clinton. So he calls and says, Don, president on the phone. Tell him to hang on. Let me get the bathroom.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Tell him to hang. I mean, you know, Don and Bill was really good friends. People, I don't know if people knew that or not, but Don and Bill was really, really good friends, man. They had a really, really good relationship. So every time Bill, every time he came here, it was to see uh Don and Jim Blair. I don't know if y'all know Jim Blair, but Jim Blair is a pretty prominent attorney, like a big time. He was Tyson's head attorney for a long, long time. So he and Don they really came to see them quite a bit, man. So it it was uh it was it was a it was just kind of an unbelievable life to be able to answer the phone and BB King with calling. You would go home and I and you'd probably be like, did that be a good thing?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just sleeping. It was unbelievable, man. It was that's amazing. I mean, so that's Alice Walton and Don Tyson are two huge influence like for America. Come on, like I mean unbelievable.

Phone Calls From Presidents And Music Icons

SPEAKER_00

And they're and they're both unbelievable people. Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, like like I I don't have to tell you you know how how good a person Don Tyson was. He he just he showed it. Alice the same way. Yeah, she doesn't she doesn't need anybody to blow her up or blow up her dress, she doesn't need that. You know what I'm saying? She does a lot of shit. So, but she's always good to me. She calls, I go. And you're still working with her today. Right? Still work with her today.

SPEAKER_01

But have you ever driven her to the gents place? To where? The gents place. Josh owns the gents place. I mean, you went from John Tyson Alswall and you've driven Josh that, friend.

SPEAKER_00

I went to the gents place to get some creek.

SPEAKER_02

He didn't give you any, did he?

SPEAKER_00

Let's talk about that.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, do what I do. Like Friday night, go there.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you act like you're stopping. I get a video, but I get the video from Bobby. He's like, hey, I'm going a date. I'm like, score$20,$20. That's like$80 of score for free.

SPEAKER_00

It's the best.

SPEAKER_02

Did the lady almost get fired when you did that? No. Because see, I went and got some bourbon there, and Josh about fired the lady because I got the wrong guy.

SPEAKER_01

He went in the private stash. You don't go in the private stash without asking. Go wrong. We had to have a sit-down.

SPEAKER_03

Shout out to Lauren. She got very upset.

SPEAKER_01

She didn't laury. Well, so Josh, not to put you on the spotter, but what type of discount can we give? Oh man, this man is creed, man. Hold on a second. It's managing.

SPEAKER_00

It's just great. I still have some man's games.

SPEAKER_02

I've got a great contact in Vegas. I'll send you her number. They have an actual Creed store in Caesar's Palace. My man.

SPEAKER_00

Listen, listen, Josh, this is no lie. See, no, I'm not lying to you. This is the best part. First time I ever got a ball of Creed, Carla Tyson, myself. She after Don passed away, then I worked for the family. So we would go from the day after Thanksgiving, we would leave Northwest Arkansas, and I never come home until March. We would fly to Italy. We would fly to London. We would fly to Amsterdam. We'd fly all over the world. But the first ball of Creed I got was in Italy. And I was like, she's like, no, no, no. It's okay, Joey. You do good. Get a ball. Said it was like$700 now. I was like, what? And she was like, get two balls. Okay. That's generous. So then focused on Creed because when I came back to the Creed wasn't here then. So when I came back to the States. Couldn't find it. Couldn't find it. But every time a girl would sniff me, they'd be like, oh.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the wavy thing.

SPEAKER_00

It was unbelievable. Bro, it was unbelievable. Them girls sniffing, they'd be like, hey. This was before I wasn't married then, by the way. Good man. Shout out to your wife, shout out to my wife. I love you so much.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe that's why Josh is so tired with the Kree. Hey bro. Maybe your wife doesn't want you to get it back in your hand.

SPEAKER_00

That's nothing. The creed is the absolute best cologne. It is. It is. And girls will let you know that. I mean, they did before I was married. I get a lot of compliments when I work. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the best thing. But anyway, back to that. Maybe we can get a ball of Kree for Christmas.

SPEAKER_02

I'll tell you a secret though. It smells better when you swing by Josh's and try to set up.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, God, come by for a free quirk. I'm gonna get a free squirk. I need to get that. I gotta show you the picture before we go today of Bobby. There's a video, and he's like and it's like I mean, it's like it was so egregiously totally.

SPEAKER_00

How much did you put on? I tried everyone.

SPEAKER_03

I'm like right down the road.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, which one's your favorite? Just the original. Yeah, the original. Yeah, business.

SPEAKER_00

That's my favorite. Like I said, I've had like five bottles. I've got two bottles now that that I never um never um use just because I don't like the smell of them. Yeah. But I was trying to figure out some way to take them back to his place to act like I bought it there.

SPEAKER_02

What you should do is bring one of them in and just switch it out with the adventure. I mean, you know. You know, back in the day, I couldn't get it. The quick exchange.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, back in the day I could do that at Walmart, you know. A little different now. I guess it's a little different. A little different.

Discretion, Loyalty, And The Driver’s Code

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. Put him up to this? This is perfect. Yeah, I didn't know. That's the pre-meeting before the podcast.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't even know. Now, I I wish we would have Joe over there with us because we would have we would have been a lot harder. Oh man.

SPEAKER_00

It's so good. But anyway, but yeah, so so so the transportation business has been really, really good. Um, man, I've driven people like George Lopez, um, Will Smith, Shaq. Is it that this is local when they're in town? Listen, if if you are a celebrity, any celebrity, you gotta come here to Ben B, Arkansas. Because you have to come to Walmart. Let me ask you a question. Oprah. I'm doing that. But are you like referral-based? Like, is everyone like you gotta go to Joe? Like, is you're not being pastoral? How are they finding you? So, so I'm I'm in with this company out of California. A few different companies in California and New York. So they make a reservation to them, so they call me. Okay. So, like the celebrities, like, like who I have um, don't ask me. Uh oh, postponed, sure, I know that. And I did um um man, how'd this get? A bunch of them. A bunch of them.

SPEAKER_01

Well, let me ask you a question. If I'm just, you know, on a next Friday I want to ride back and forth to Roots Chris. Now, now you gotta you gotta keep in mind I'm not Uber.

SPEAKER_04

You gotta do the break. What do you mean?

SPEAKER_02

So is everybody now for the night?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, which is nice because then you don't have a schedule. Yeah, yeah. Whatever your schedule is.

SPEAKER_00

If you know what's going on, like we can hit, like we could, you know, like a couple of things.

SPEAKER_01

So we drive up to Downstream Casino one night.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then you hang out, play with us, and we drive back when you know, you drive back when we're done. I'm I probably won't hang up.

SPEAKER_00

I'll probably be out in the car resting or whatever, but or whatever. Or whatever. Shout out to your wife, or whatever. Whatever. No doubt. But um, you know, I just I never I I don't do any drinking. I just never have, just because my job consists of of keeping people safe. You're gonna be gonna be on your screen, yep. And uh, you know, it it all goes back to when I first started with Don Tyson. That that was his thing. It's like Joe, your your job is to keep me safe. Right. I'll do all the other stuff. Yeah, I'll keep but you keep me safe. Yeah, yeah. Do you work with the other Tysons now? Have you worked with John and John Randall?

SPEAKER_02

You work above. How many cars do you have, or is it just your car?

SPEAKER_00

At one time I had 18 cars.

SPEAKER_02

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_00

And then after COVID, man, I went down to like five cars.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. That's how many you have. But you still have five. Yeah, I only have one.

Creed Cologne Tangent And Gift Stories

SPEAKER_00

But you got me confused with Matt. Oh, Matt, sorry. But I I actually started the first meter taxi cab company. So my company was NWA Taxi. I was the first meter taxi cab. We never had meter taxi camps in Northwest, Arkansas. So I actually was the first meter taxi camp. But then the Uber came in and stuck it to the code.

SPEAKER_02

It's all good.

SPEAKER_00

Damn, we were.

SPEAKER_02

You're probably back doing what you would rather be doing.

SPEAKER_00

No, I yeah, I do I now I'm I you get a feeling. I I had at one time I had 37 employees and it was 24 hours a day. And Don Tyson says, Joe, listen, his favorite thing to me was, Joe, you know you're doing good when you're making money in your sleep. So my cab's rolling at it was 24 hours. So when I'm sleeping, I'm making money.

SPEAKER_02

Did you ever go on this yacht? Yes. Yes. Did you? No, but I my insurance guy did.

SPEAKER_00

He's like insurance guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's unbelievable. Based out of Florida? It's based out of Florida. All around the world. Really? Yeah. So most of the time we get it pick up it, pick it up in Lake Cabos or or over to Italy. We picked it up in Italy. Um, it's just, you know, it's all all over the place. But it's the best.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you're you need to write a book about yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, if I wrote a book, I probably couldn't I couldn't probably couldn't stay in this town. So I I like my friends and I like people out where I love them. So I no, no, no, no. That that's kind of that's kind of how I um that's kind of how I'm, you know, uh I I'm where I am because man, it's not my job to put your business out there. You know what I'm saying? Yeah but but we have fun doing some stuff and and they don't mind me that part, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

So well, and I met Joe. Uh I work at Team Direct here locally in town, and the owner of Team Direct hires Joe. So when he's in town, that's how I met Joe and in the last year gotten to know him pretty well, beat him in golf at the Sam's annual scramble at Shadow Valley this year on the last hole. Last hole. Last hole long putt. Jim Jim cheats, though. No, he didn't cheat on this one, though. He was watching. He was done, he was watching, and shout out to Jason Househam, hit a hit a what it was a 30-foot putt from the fringe. 30-foot walk-in putt. Walked it in.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, this song bitch just hit this puck, walked it in. And I was like, I know we win, we're gonna win this one.

SPEAKER_01

We went crazy. But what did he did he do a let's go? Jim's notorious for he didn't. Let's go. Oh, I know. Rolled the putter around the green. Yes. Oh, it was unbelievable. Yeah, it was great. Is there a video of this up? Yes. Oh, yeah. We'll we'll post it. We'll post the link. I'm gonna have to have you know new content for season three. Absolutely. But you but Joe drove you around also though? Yes, yeah. That's how we met from Clint. Yeah. And you were there that night. That was when we went down to Clint's art thing down in Fayetteville.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, was he there? Were you there?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, you were there. We break it. Yes. Oh, yeah. That was Joe. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, but I I think I met you there. Yeah, you were you probably asked a cheer thing you had to get down with. Yeah. I definitely wrote back, but Josh tried to negotiate the price after you got there and told them how to build it. Did he say, I know you said it's 120.

SPEAKER_03

I told Joe tips are optional on this thing, right? He said just the tip is optional.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. Well, but so the the thing that caught my ear though over the last year is Joe has played on, and I know you guys don't care at all. Yeah, but Joe has played on some phenomenal golf courses. Drives John Daly around and and and John's son, John Jr. you call him? Jay Little J Lil John. Jay little John. But I have to tell you one story that I thought was hilarious about Joe. And again, you guys aren't golfers, so I'll I'll take you on the journey here. Josh is a golfer, yeah. No, he's terrible. Terrible. Terrible. He plays pickleball.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Well, I mean, I look like a golfer. I mean, you look like a golfer, Josh. Come with you. I appreciate that.

Celebrity Runs: Lopez, Will Smith, Shaq, Oprah

SPEAKER_01

He's played on some beautiful courses. I said, Man, have you ever played at Augusta? You know, Augusta is the host of the Masters, probably the most exclusive club. Right. It's like, uh, they they offered me a chance to play at Augusta, but uh I would have had to walk, so I passed. Like he he was he's like walk a golf course. He will only go if it's a card. It's that part of their Yeah. No cards at Augusta. But Joe, so you literally turned down an invite to play at Augusta. Absolutely. 99 people out of 100 are gonna say yes to Augusta. 99 out of 9. He's the one. Yeah, yeah. 199 out of about 3,000 are gonna take that no out of that.

SPEAKER_02

I mean he's Joe. He's talked to the president. Joe the truck. Yeah, I mean he didn't have time to be watching.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's with Michael Jordan. Well, I gotta tell you, I I don't I mean, I play at Michael Jordan's golf course, but I ain't on Michael Jordan's level. He'll come over and say, hi, but I ain't on the golf cart with you. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He he likes to gamble. He loves to gamble. Yeah, he loves to gamble, man. He he gambles. I mean, I think he probably does that daily on the golf course. That's just well, a thousand dollars for him is like a quarter for me. It's like crazy, right? Yeah, it's crazy. He he comes to work with a with a briefcase. And it ain't that kind of papers in there.

SPEAKER_02

It's like you know what I mean? So he he some days it's full when he goes home, and some days it's empty. Absolutely. But I could think he could care less if he loses.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

It's just it's just monopoly money. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he cares. My sense is he cares if he loses.

SPEAKER_00

He doesn't like you lose. Yeah. He doesn't like that's that is for sure. But his place is fantastic, man. He has the best, you know, uh, wine, alcohol. I mean, he his it just because his wife is not bad on the eyes either.

SPEAKER_01

I've seen some pictures of her on Twitter. Shout out to your wife. We're not right. No, no, yeah. Look, I didn't see her.

SPEAKER_02

You didn't see it.

SPEAKER_04

Somebody told me that.

SPEAKER_02

Somebody told me that. Is that your your black escalate out there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What did what did it say on the side? Awesome. I read it's right down it. Because I saw it and I was like, man, that's pretty cool. I wonder who that is. I was like, it's gotta be. I was like, that would look good on the midnight.

How Bookings Work And Not Being Uber

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, so so shout out shout out to Team Direct and platform. Yeah, because uh Noah, which the owner of Team Direct, he says to me one day, and this is no lie, this guy says, Joe, I want to do something with you. Okay, well, what do you want to do? Well, I want to get a car, but I want to uh put our our logo on the side of it. You know what I'm saying? I said, okay. So I'm thinking he's gonna say, you know, because I don't I have an escalator, but he's like, no, I want you to find another one. I want you to go find an escalate, and I want you to tell me what it is, and we're gonna get it. He's like, nah, okay. Anybody so one day I get up and I go to the dealership and I say, Hey Noah, I call Noah and says, Hey, I found a car. It's like honey, like I'm not a car that's killing that. That's great. Yeah. Yeah. Call his number. Tell him you found it. Call his number and tell me you found a car. Okay. So I called the number, and it was his guy and handle the money. He says, hey, um, no one told me to call you. He goes, Yeah, I already talked to him. Just give me the guy's name. Shit. Okay. This never happened to me before. I'm like, I don't even know what's going on. Like, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I get a phone call. Hey, come and pick up the Escalade. What? Escalade ready for you to come pick up. Team Direct already got took care of it.

SPEAKER_01

You have the hustle put on afterwards. That explains why you can't get a raise, Jim. The guy's just peeling off 130 cash. I tell you what.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, that explains a lot. It's genius for him because who's who that comes here sees it on every time.

SPEAKER_00

Anybody go when I pick up his clients, which I do, that's my thing. I pick up all his clients. Even Alice Walden was like, Joe, that's nice.

SPEAKER_02

It does look good. It looks good on there. I watched last year. I was like, it's like uh it's like flat. Yeah. Either the S client's flat or the deal's flat. No, the deal's flat. You wouldn't know it's Team Direct unless somebody told you, right?

SPEAKER_00

It's like low profile, but not. It has it has Team Direct logo on the front tag. Okay, okay. And then and then and then hustle on the side.

SPEAKER_01

And and Joe kind of spilled the beans because Team Direct, I'll give a a little exclusive here. B Team exclusive. So Team Direct is changing its name to Hustle. Platform. No to platform. Hustle is like the mantra. Like everybody's got to hustle, work, and sell more the whole bit. Yeah. But uh it's so you said platform earlier, so I don't even know that that's you know breaking news tonight? Breaking news on the B Team Podcast. But this does explain because you told me over a drink last night, like I haven't gotten a raise in a while. That's not true. I didn't get bonus. I get paid very barely shot on the city. No, if you're listening to the car, Jim, make a choice.

Fleet Growth, Taxis, And The Uber Shift

SPEAKER_02

I'm very, very happy that it's in the podcast. Jim said that the gas car did say uh Jim Corbin on it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, that's great. That's great. But yeah, man, that they um and then Noah himself brings in he brings in some pretty sweet clients, you know. Um back in the day, the the first, I think the first celebrity client Noah brought in was Jim Walt or Yeah, Jim Walton. Jim Walton. Jim Walton, Rvest? No, no, no. Yeah. What's the what's the basketball Walton? Bill Walton. Bill Walton. Bill Walton. Bill Walton was the first one he brought in, bro. He's like, Joe, you guys gonna pick up. He's the only Walton that's not a Walton. That's not a Walton. Not a Walton. But he was so cool, man. He picked to the airport to pick him up. He had his tie on. You guys know Bill Walton?

SPEAKER_01

So he's like an NBA Hall of Famer, passed away. Seven foot tall, big weed, psychedelic. Yeah, probably would really like to hang out with Willie Nelson.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Wasn't you here when he had?

SPEAKER_01

No, I was not.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, he brought him in for a Christmas party. Oh, he brought in Mr. Beast. Yeah, Mr. Beast. I mean, he brought in, he brought in um Oh shoot. Man, noah, I mean, man, Noah's with his with the in crowd. You know, he he he brings in some celebrities. So I'm driven quite a few celebrities with him. Um but like I said, if you if you somebody who's famous, you come into Walmart at some point in time because you want to sell your you want to sell your like uh Beyoncé Matthew knows. I mean, that chick could still she could sell shit on a stick to what shit on a stick. I like that. Yeah she she could, I mean, Walmart, whatever she wanted to sell, Ends Mart. I mean that was.

SPEAKER_01

Now you're picking it up at uh private airport, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, for that some of them fly private, some of them fly like her dad, he flies commercial, but she comes, she flies private, you know. So um
