Yeti Nano (2- Yeti Nano):Hey friend, welcome to my shower sprinkles. Wait, did I just say shower sprinkles? Yes, I sure did. Let me tell you what shower sprinkles are. You'll be hearing a shower sprinkle every other week in between my guests and I doing deep dives. Shower sprinkles are actually what they sound like. To me, it's a spot where I get those creative thoughts and ideas. It's a moment when I'm in the shower, letting the water hit me, and these thoughts, these ideas, fully just come to me. Today, actually, when I was in the shower, I had the thought of, like, weird. I wonder why I did this. Besides the fact that I love the lake, when did this start happening? I was just standing there thinking. and letting my brain wonder. And then it came to me. A mentor of mine, Rachel Jackson, she actually does this meditation, and it's called cord cutting. And I do it every single night. It's about five minutes long, and it helps me go to sleep. And when she walks you through this process, it's a process of like the water, you're standing in the water, it's flowing over you, and it's just like washing away. Everything from the day I believe that I connected to. When I first started doing a podcast, I joked with my friends that if I could record in the shower, I would. When I get in the shower, it's like everything from the day. Like all those thoughts, any worries from the day. It's like they're just washing. I can feel them just like washing off my body and just like watching them swirl away. And if you know me, you know that my head goes a lot and I go a lot. So it's actually a time where I get out of my head. My head becomes clear. It's like I'm opening my heart. And if you could see me right now. My hand is on my heart when I'm talking to you. It's just like it expands wider and wider and wider and I just feel like my body, it gets filled up with all this new creative energy. I feel so grounded and it truly, these thoughts truly just drop in. Sometimes I get in the shower and I'm listening to a podcast. So sometimes it may be someone says a word and then my head just takes, that word or those thoughts. And the ideas just come from there. Today, I want to ask you, what does coming home to you mean? I think it's really important. And one of the very first things I learned is how to turn my brain off, how to connect myself, and how to come home to myself. So that can have several meanings, and you can do it several ways. But to me, when I come home to myself, It's like dropping into my body dropping into my heart like truly filling whatever needs to be felt Letting things go and then letting the good flow in It's like we're all the creativity just starts to flow in my body all these really cool ideas pop up in my head, and it actually really excites me. whether you meditate, do breath work, however you ground yourself, it may be like walking, putting your feet in the grass, you know the feeling of like fresh cut grass on your feet, walking through it. I mean, I know you can probably even smell it as I'm talking about it. Or maybe you're standing on some warm concrete. Putting your toes in the sand? Maybe it's standing on top of a mountain. Whatever your thing is, I want you to think today, how do you come home to yourself? And when you do, how do you let that creativity flow in? How do you drop into your own body? How do you drop into your own mind? I'm super curious. I challenge you to go do something today. Even if it's just taking a walk, go do something where you can turn your brain off. By the way, I'm here to tell you that it didn't come easy for me, and I'm still a work in progress, but I'm growing every single day, and that's what truly matters. I hope you continue to listen to my shower sprinkles, now that you know what they are. I'm gonna encourage you today go find some place where you can allow yourself to drop in and Let the creativity flow and while you're at it. Let those sparks fly, too
