Casey Taton Season 1 Episode 26

In this heartfelt Shower Sprinkle, I revisit a recording I made one year ago—a message about kindness, connection, and the beauty of being gentle with one another. What I didn’t realize then was that this recording would resurface on World Kindness Day, creating a moment of pure synchronicity.

In today’s Shower Sprinkle I share:
✨ The original message I recorded about being kind every day, not just on National or World Kindness Day
✨ How my mentors, Cathy Heller and Kelsey Murphy, influenced her journey toward compassion and creativity
✨ The power of women holding space, encouragement, and community
✨ The full-circle moment that inspired me to add a new segment exactly one year later
✨ Why self-kindness is just as important—if not more important—than kindness toward others
✨ Science-backed facts about kindness and how it impacts your happiness, stress, immunity, heart health, and mental well-being

This episode invites you to pause, breathe, and reflect on one big question:
“How kind am I to myself?”

Whether you’re listening on World Kindness Day or months later, this episode is a reminder that every day is an opportunity to choose kindness—toward others and toward yourself. 💕

Hey friends. Welcome to the Enter Spark podcast. I'm your host, Casey Caton. If you're looking to hear stories of transformation and personal growth, this podcast is for you. My guest and I will be sharing those sparking moments that has changed the mental living a more fulfilling authentic life. I'm so excited for you to hear each unique story. So sit back, relax, and let's get started. Hey friends, I just wanted to share something with you. So today is November 13th and it is National Kindness Day. Whenever you hear this, it may be a month from now, it may be three months from now. I'm not really sure when I'm gonna share this, but a thought of the day came to me is why are we just sharing kindness for one day? What do you do to share kindness and what does kindness mean to you? Today I got to spend some time in Kathy Heller's meditation class, and then in a podcasting group with, Kelsey Murphy and Kelsey. And in both of those groups, both of those Zoom calls, I wanna tell you that I was surrounded by so many beautiful women that were just holding space for each other. And just being so gentle and kind. Their words were so encouraging and so inspiring that it's just amazing. I just wanna ask you today, what are you doing to be kind? Are you being kind to someone? What does it mean to you? Like just sit with it and think deep down in my core, what does that mean? What does it feel like? I ask you just to sit and breathe and think on that. And I would love to know your thoughts. I only imagine if we could all be kind to each other every day. What a beautiful world it would be. Thanks for listening to my random thoughts. Until next time, have a good day. Hey, friend, I hope you love the shower. Sprinkle. I just wanna tell you something. I was listening to my old podcast or old recordings and this one showed up, and today is actually World Kindness Day. Ah, the Synchronicities. Not only is that awesome, I also was in the same two calls today with my two beautiful mentors that I mentioned, Kathy Heller. And I also got to do a call with Kelsey Murphy. Hmm. Such goodness. They are such beautiful, kind people. But what I wanna add from recording this a year ago that I never aired to what I'm airing today on World Kindness Day is also about being kind to yourself. How are you treating yourself, friends, how are you treating yourself? Are you treating yourself like someone you love? And let's just be honest about this We have to treat ourselves just like we would treat someone else. And if you're listening to this, I'm pretty sure you're a pretty kind person, so, so I wanna know, I'm adding onto this podcast of how kind are you to yourself? Do you look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you love yourself? Do you treat yourself like you love yourself? I want you to start doing it every day. I also wanna tell you this, I was looking into kindness facts, and I wanted to tell you that one in three people report that their best memories involve someone being unexpectedly kind. There's also a whole bunch of science-based facts about being kind, kindness, boost happiness. Kindness reduces stress. Kindness is contagious. Ooh, let's feel the ripple effect on that one. Kindness improves heart health, kindness strengthens immunity. Kindness reduces pain, it increases your lifespan, builds stronger relationships. It improves your mental health and kindness makes you more attractive. All right. I just wanted to put this Shower sprinkle out because I recorded this a year ago. Yes, a year ago. And now I wanna show you what I'm adding to about World Kindness Day. So happy world, kindness day. In my world and in your world, friend, I know you treat every day as it's world kindness day. So reach out. Tell me how you're celebrating World Kindness Day. Did you go love on someone? Were you kindness to someone? And how are you treating yourself? All right. Love you friends.
