Welcome to Ember Mornings where we start the day with truth not to-do lists. We're still unpacking alignment this week. Today is about energy, not the woo kind, the real kind. We're gonna talk about. If it drains you, it doesn't define you. Let's. Talk about spaces, habits, and people that drain you and why you keep saying yes to them. Let me tell you a story about the job that almost killed me. I worked for years in a job at an urgent care, and my friend Jolynn, she would always say it's a good job. She would always say this like, it's such a good job. And it was good. We made good money. We had, I worked with the best people. But I hated that job. On the days I didn't work, I dreaded the days that I did work. I would wake up on my work days with chest pain, feeling anxious and just feeling an overwhelming dread of going into that job. Now, looking back, it's clear that my body resisted that job. It was telling me something. I felt tired, I felt heavy, I felt frustrated. I hated it. But still, I pushed through telling myself I should be grateful because it's a good job, right? And it wasn't until the pain of staying there truly overpowered the pain and fear I had of change. And that's when I decided to leave. If someone asked me, now, would you ever go back? My answer is immediately, no way. There's no way I could go back to that job. You could not pay me enough. Why? Because that place almost killed me. And looking back, it's clear I was out of alignment. It wasn't them. It was me. I was out of alignment. I want you to think about this. What drains you reveals what no longer deserves your devotion. Woo. Say it again for the people in the back. What drains you reveals what no longer deserves your devotion. We stay in draining situations, out of obligation, out of fear, out of habit, but you're not obligated to shrink, to hustle or ache for belonging. You are allowed to change. It's okay. You are allowed to walk away. Today, I want you to ask yourself this question, what drains me and why am I still choosing it? Is it a role? Is it a rhythm? Is it a responsibility that no longer fits you? What would it look like to set it down? Or to shift your relationship to it? What would that look like? What would that feel like? Your peace is not selfish. Your energy is not infinite, and your alignment is worth protecting. Alright, let's EMBR the day ahead with courage and clarity. We'll see you tomorrow.
