Kimberly Hoyt: EMBR Mornings

The Secret Strength of Not Quitting! 8/28/25

Kimberly Hoyt

In a culture that glorifies reinvention, it’s easy to think growth always requires change. But what if your deepest evolution comes from staying rooted? 🌱

Today’s EMBR Mornings reflection is an invitation to see stability not as stagnation, but as strategy. Like a tree in the storm, you grow stronger by sending your roots deeper — in your marriage, your calling, your community, or your faith.

Growth doesn’t always mean leaving. Sometimes the bravest move is to stay.

EMBR Mornings is a daily soul-centered reflection to help women return to who they truly are — grounded, beloved, and on purpose. Each morning is a pause to sip your coffee, breathe deeply, and remember the ember within you. Rooted in faith and anchored in intention, EMBR Mornings is created to help women rise not with hustle, but with wholeness.

☕ Today’s Question: Where in your life do you need to stay so that you can truly grow?

Stability is strength. Welcome to EMBR Mornings, my friend. Yesterday. We talked about evolution, the courage to grow and to become someone new. But here's the other side of that truth. Growth doesn't always mean leaving. Sometimes the deepest evolution happens while staying rooted. We live in a culture that worships the pivot. New jobs, new cities, new projects, new identities, shiny object syndrome. And yes, there is a time for change, but sometimes the bravest and the boldest move you can make is to stay. To root down instead of running. To go deeper, instead of going wider, to keep showing up in the same marriage, the same calling, the same community long enough to actually grow something worth keeping. Think about a tree in a storm. It doesn't survive by chasing calmer skies. It survives by sending its roots even deeper into the soil. That rooting is what allows it to grow stronger branches and bear more fruit when the seasons change. You don't always have to reinvent yourself to grow. Sometimes your evolution is nourished by the stability you choose. Where in your life do you need to stay so that you can grow? Stability is not stagnation. It's strategy. Let's EMBR the day ahead in grounded presence. I'll see you back tomorrow.
