Why Small Acts Of Courage Matter. 9/6/25

Some of the bravest things you’ll ever do won’t make it into the highlight reel. In today’s EMBR Mornings reflection, Kimberly shares the mantra: “Small acts of courage still count.”
We often imagine courage as dramatic leaps — skydiving, life-changing choices, bold risks. But the deepest courage often happens in the unseen: showing kindness when it’s hard, staying faithful in prayer when the answer hasn’t come, or choosing honesty in a difficult conversation.
✨ Key benefit: You’ll leave today’s pause with permission to honor the small, faithful acts that shape who you are becoming — the courage that doesn’t need an audience to matter.
At EMBR Mornings, we believe every woman carries an ember within her. Through short, soulful reflections, we help you start each day with peace, presence, and God-rooted clarity.

Some of the bravest things you'll ever do will never make it into the highlight reel. Welcome to EMBR Mornings, a quiet coffee pause to steady your heart before the day's noise begins. Today's mantra, small acts of courage, still count. We often think of courage as leaping out of planes like we talked about earlier this week, or making life altering decisions. But some of the deepest courage happens in the everyday. Choosing to speak kindly when you're frustrated. Showing up for a hard conversation instead of avoiding it. Continuing to pray when the answer hasn't come yet. The miles you put in training for a marathon that no one will ever see. No one may applaud these moments. There's no crowd to cheer you on, but heaven sees and those small faithful acts shape who you are becoming far more than the big dramatic leaps. Quiet courage is still courage, and it may be the most powerful kind. What's one small, unseen act of courage you can choose today? Commit to it. Let's EMBR the day ahead with quiet strength and the kind of courage that doesn't need an audience to matter. I'll see you back here tomorrow. Until then.
