Kimberly Hoyt: EMBR Mornings

How Gratitude Multiplies Courage 9/14/25

Kimberly Hoyt

Start your day with peace, clarity, and courage. In today’s EMBR Mornings reflection, Kimberly invites you to pause with your coffee and look back — not at what didn’t happen, but at the aligned leaps you did take this week. Gratitude strengthens courage, turning even the smallest step into confidence for the journey ahead.

We explore the truth that aligned leaps aren’t reckless; they are rooted in wisdom and trust. Whether your leap was saying yes, waiting patiently, or even choosing rest, each moment of alignment matters. Inspired by The Gap and The Gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, Kimberly reminds us that looking back with gratitude shifts our perspective from “how far we have to go” to “how far we’ve already come.”

✨ EMBR Mornings is here to help you reclaim your mornings as sacred time — beginning your day with intention, presence, and faith.

💭 Journal Prompt: Write down three aligned steps you took this week. Thank God for each one and ask Him to strengthen your courage for what’s ahead.

Before stepping into a new week, let's pause to look back. Not at what didn't happen, but at the leaps you did take. Welcome to EMBR Mornings, a gentle Sunday. Pause with your coffee to breathe in gratitude for the path you've walked this past week. Gratitude strengthens your courage. This week we've explored aligned leaps. Not reckless leaps, but leaps rooted in wisdom and alignment. Maybe you stepped into a new opportunity, Maybe you practiced patience and waited this week. Maybe your leap was small, like choosing to rest or even saying no. Each step matters, and looking back with gratitude keeps us from rushing ahead without recognizing how far we've come. If you haven't read the book, the"Gap in The Gain" by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, you need to. It reminds us that when we set these big goals and we're making progress, it can still feel like we're so far away from where we're going, but when we take the time to pause and look back and see how far we've come and measure the gain. It really changes our perspective. And that's really what gratitude is about. Gratitude turns courage into confidence, reminding you that the same strength that carried you this week will carry you again. Thankfulness, multiplies courage. Write down three aligned steps or actions you made this week, big or small. Thank God for each one. And ask him to grow your trust for the small and big steps still ahead. Let's EMBR the day with Grateful Hearts and let's EMBR the courage born from alignment and carry it forward. I'll meet you back here tomorrow as we begin. Week 3rd of September leaning into the boldness it takes to speak your truth. Alright, friends, I'll see you tomorrow.
