Principal characters
KEN a well seasoned ducking and diving allotment owner with 20 years experience of "living off the land". He is the driving force of the duo, always on the look out for an 'earner' no matter how bizarre.
PETER- A young new comer with an unknown and secretive past. Somewhat naive in the ways of the World.
ANNIE-an odd' adjacent 'allotmenteer' kind hearted but ever wary and does not suffer fools gladly.
The VICAR- helpful but dotty - a kindly heart but clueless.
LAUREN- Becomes a friend of Peter. She has suffered a great personal tragedy and looks to Peter to help re-build her life.

After a disastrous encounter with a borrowed rotovator Peter declares a prior arrangement which causes Ken toponder yet again on Peter's wanderings.

An old pub dartboard leads to the formation of an allotment team spurred on by the £10 prize money on offer. The opposition ladies team has an unexpected best player. Unbeknown to Ken, Peter gains a new friend.

The normal peace of the allotment is shattered by Annie's new transistor radio and her refusal to turn it down! A 'bring and buy' sale in the village hall opens up opportunities!
He's "legged" it Pete!
Ken's potential money earning Peacock has flown the coop. The new hut becomes centre focus . Ken's pal the local entrepreneur offers to help but there is a "price"!"
