28. Sick Fat: Biology, Not Willpower. Stop fighting the wrong enemy | Evan Nadler, MD, MBA

Season 1 Episode 28

SICK FAT: Biology, Not Willpower. Stop fighting the wrong enemy!

Sick Fat, also known as adiposopathy, is a tough topic, so I found one of the most experienced specialists to walk us through it.

With this episode, I'm hoping to change the narrative around obesity & chronic disease. From one of blame, to one of biology & healing.

What I like about Dr. Nadler so much is his balanced approach to helping patients. Even though he's a bariatric surgeon who's "treatment agnostic".

He spends his time dispelling myths & misperceptions with data & science, but wraps his messaging in tones of healing & empathy.

Evan Nadler, MD, MBA, is the past Co-Director of the Children's National Obesity Institute, built & directed the nation's largest pediatric weight management program by nearly twofold, treating thousands of children and adolescents with obesity.

He & his partners recently opened ProCare TeleHealth, "The country's first pediatric-only telehealth weight management practice".

This is bound to stir some emotions, so I'd love to hear your questions or comments!
