#24 SOLO - 'What it Means to "Meet Yourself Where You Are" + How To Do it'

Hey friends, welcome to this week’s solo episode! In today’s episode I am going to share what it means to meet yourself where you are and how to accomplish this. This weeks episode is a bit shorter because it will directly tie in to next weeks episode and I wanted to make each steps small and achievable. Plus, the work you’ll do this week will take some time to complete. Here is a simple metaphor for the work we will be doing the next few weeks in the solo episodes. Let’s say youre going on a journey.  Before you start out on the journey there are a couple of important details you need to know before you go. First, you have to know where you are starting from (where am I right now). Next, you have to know what your destination is (where do I want to be). Then you have to create a  path to follow (how am I going to get to the destination). Then before you set out you need to make sure you have your compass to guide you along the way. Last week I dove into Core Values which is the compass you will use on your journey. In this weeks solo episode you will learn how to meet yourself where you are right now so you know where you are starting your journey from. I will talk about this process today and I will be sharing a resource with you that will help you determine where you are right now (your starting point). Then next week we will talk about how to determine where you want to go (your destination) and how to create your path so you know the exact steps you are going to take to get to your destination. The metaphor illustrates the process I use with my coaching clients: defining your core values, doing a whole life review of all 8 pillars to evaluate your satisfaction in each pillar currently and identifying the pillars that you want to improve your satisfaction in, then creating AIM SMART goals to identify what you believe will bring you more satisfaction in your pillar(s) of choice (AIM GOAL) and the exact steps that will get you there (SMART GOALS).
