The accompaniment to the podcast itself is part of a recording entitled "Night Rain", featured on Ged's album, "Night Dreams".
The music in the introduction to the "2025" & the "2025-26" Series, "Night Hunter", is also from that album.

Welcome to the Amazing Mindset podcast series. I'm your host, Jed Roberts, and together we will be going on a journey to explore our thinking and just how that thinking from moment to moment creates the world as only we see it. I like to describe the podcasts as tapas or quick bites. as they are quite short in length, yet they're just enough to stimulate the mental taste buds that create for us that wonderful feeling of curiosity. Our journey is very much a voyage of self-discovery and of self-awareness. It's great to have you on board. Now, let's go explore. Welcome to the first in the autumn series of my amazing mindset podcasts. And we start with a look back at the summer series and consider what I call the story so far, a kind of resume or revision of all 12 episodes, just to remind us of how far we've come in our thinking since the 1st of July, 2024. I know I touched on the subject of looking back in episode 10 of of the summer series when we were discussing the notion of understanding how our thinking works but in order to really sum up the series I think we should take a look at the road we have gone down since episode 1 and I will suggest to you what I hope you might have gleaned or might have learned from each episode just a little something maybe to begin with I would hope that for some of you it's the very first time you've actually been encouraged to think about your thinking it sounds such a simple thing to do but we should now know that it's really quite profound and I'm hoping that we have begun what I call mindset management in episode 1 we were encouraged to consider our uniqueness as thinkers that we're all very different in our thinking giving rise to us being very different in our outlook on life in general episode 1 was in effect the beginning of what I will refer to as the understanding we then took this understanding into episode 2 where we were encouraged to becoming better listeners and we discussed the benefits of being a really good listener and I wonder if we had ever considered what really listening actually entails. In episode 3 we delved into how we have become the thinkers that we are and we continued this into episode 4 when we looked at some of the ways our thinking sometimes gets us trapped. Again, have we ever thought about how we become or became the thinkers that we are? And have we ever considered that there are traps that we fall into in our thinking? Episode 5 introduced us through a fictional story of mine called The Anx to our incredibly amazing yet ultimately dangerous imagination and how our minds can conjure up all sorts of imaginary scenarios and create all kinds of unwanted, unproductive and even unnecessary thinking. In episode 6 we were introduced to the snakes and ladders of our day-to-day lives and how accepting the good and the bad and the ups and downs of life also related to our thinking moods I'm hoping that we learned that we can't be 100% positive all the time there has to be a little negative as well as positive and that's why our understanding of our thinking is so crucial. For me and for many of you this was a massive lesson and a huge step in our mindset management. Our understanding of our thinking came into all other episodes. In episode 7 we learned I hope how to cope better with criticism simply by understanding how it works. In episode 8 coping with what might have been done better or worse in the past. In episode 9, coping with what may be giving us stress, worry or anxiety in the present or in the near future. I've already mentioned episode 10, which I hope got us thinking even more critically about just how our thinking is working. Especially if we are trying to fix anything about how our feelings are being in any way messed up. To fix anything, we simply have to know how it works before we can begin to do anything about putting it right. Episode 11 was designed to help anyone who is constantly berating themselves for making mistakes in life or simply in thinking. Through a story called Miss World, I hope we learn that it's okay to get things wrong, that mistakes are part of our learning process. Let's not think about them as all bad. They teach us so many good things. They're part of us moving on. The summer series was concluded with a look at how our own ego gets in our way so much. Some of us are so concerned about what other people might think about us. And this really holds us back. Mindset management. It's all to do with your thinking. Your thinking creates the feelings and the moods you experience in your life. In other words, your thinking is your experience or your experience is actually your thinking. That's why I feel it's so important that we understand our thinking. This understanding will unlock so many doors to free you up from what's called contaminated, negative or unhealthy thinking. And that's why we shall continue with the autumn series. to continue with this mindset management. And in episode two, we'll be asking the searching question of who needs a coach? I look forward to your company. Thank you for joining me on today's podcast. I hope you've enjoyed today's journey enough to join me on the next one and perhaps share this podcast with your friends, colleagues and connections.
