Building the Best You
Manifest Your Best Year
New year energy is loud, but clarity is quiet. We start 2026 by slowing down, reflecting with intention, and then layering a practical manifestation method that actually moves the needle. I’m sharing a full lesson from my Empowerment Fundamentals course—my gift to help you build the best version of you this year.
We begin with reflection rituals: journaling last month and last year, mining your photos for forgotten wins, and translating insights into clear goals. From there, I walk through my four-step approach to manifesting—set the intention, embody your future self, take inspired action, and let go—with one key shift: embodiment comes before action. You’ll learn how breathwork steadies your system, how future-self journaling locks in the feeling of “already arrived,” and how reframing imposter thoughts opens bigger paths. I share how I acted as if, asked for signs, and made bold moves like crafting a TEDx talk and pursuing advanced ICF coaching credentials.
We also talk about aligned pivots, vision boards, and the reality that manifestation is both adding and releasing. I share why I consciously stepped out of interior design to make space for coaching, courses, speaking, and deeper impact—and how trusting timing changed everything. You’ll leave with tangible homework to practice embodiment, plus simple prompts you can use today to anchor your intention for 2026.

Welcome everybody. I'm your host, Gene Collins, and today is the first day of 2026. Wow, I can't even believe it. So today on the podcast, we're going to do something just a little bit different. Today, I'm going to gift you one of the days from my empowerment fundamentals course where I talk about manifestation. But before I do, let's talk about some of the things that I do as I enter a new month and especially enter a new year. Since we are kicking off 2026 today with the podcast launching on January 1st, which is so exciting. So every month at the beginning of a month, I always like to reflect back on the previous month and journal about all the great things that happened that month, whether it be the things I accomplished with work, the people that I met, the experiences that I had, the struggles that I had that I felt at the time that I've overcome. It doesn't matter, whatever it is. So I always on the first day of the month, or sometimes the second, I get out my journal and I reflect on the previous month. And sometimes I use my phone to help me looking through the photos to remind me of all the things that happened over that month. And then for the month going forward, I journal about some of the things that I would like to accomplish. And by doing that, I am setting an intention of what I would like to have happen in the future. And that is actually the first step of my manifestation process is setting intentions for what you want to accomplish. So as we're embarking on a new year, I like to go even bigger at the beginning of a year and then journal really about the year prior and really spend some time reflecting on everything that happened the year prior because I think it is amazing. Time goes by so quickly, but we so often forget the many things that we did nine, 10, 11, 12 months ago. So I will do this same exercise today. I will journal about the past year, 2025, and then I will journal about what I want to accomplish for 2026. And just really thinking big and thinking outside the box. I encourage you to try this. It's a great way to start the year out. And it isn't just about having New Year's resolutions, it's about setting goals for the things that you want to accomplish for the year ahead. I'm going to share with you a day for my empowerment fundamentals course. And my empowerment fundamentals course is a self-paced online course. It's a four-week course where we talk about mindset, fear versus intuition, manifesting and my unique house building approach to help you identify cracks in your life's foundation and then be able to build the framing that you need to support yourself to get to your goals and build the life that you want. And also, how do you build boundaries to preserve that life once you've gotten there? So, this four-week self-paced course in it, one of the days I share my unique manifestation process, which is actually a four-step process. Manifesting is often viewed as a three-step process. First, you set an intention, then you embody what that feels like to have accomplished that intention. Then you take active steps towards that intention, one step at a time, and then you let it go and you release it out into the universe. So on week two, day four of my empowerment fundamentals course, I share this manifestation process and how this works. And so I teach you how to do it just like I do. So I felt as we were moving into the new year that it is really important that I gift to you some tools so that you can really work on building the best you in 2026. And learning how to manifest is one of the greatest ways to be able to do that. I hope you enjoy this part of my course about manifesting. It's my gift to you to help you really start to embark on building the best you with some tools and resources to be able to do that as we start 2026. So take a listen to the course and be sure to listen to the end of this podcast where I'm going to share with you a promo code that you can use if you're interested in getting the larger course. You can get it on my website. Enjoy the course, manifestation. Have a beautiful day. Foundation, framing, finish work, and design. So based on your homework, how in depth is your list of what might be causing the cracks in your life's foundation? What score did you give yourself on a one to 10 ranking? How are you doing on boundary setting and making yourself truly a priority in your life? Is there a lot of room for improvement there? So, as I said, our agenda for today is to talk about my manifestation process. So let's get into it. First, breath work, grounding. You know the deal. I put my hand on my heart, my hand on my belly. If that doesn't work for you, you want to put your hands in prayer, you do what works for you. That's what works for me to help connect to my breath. We're gonna do four counts in through the nose, pause, four counts out through the nose, pause. We're gonna do this three times. I like to close my eyes. I really like to feel the air move fully through my body. So let's get started. This helps us ground and connect. Put my hand on my heart, hand on my belly. I'm gonna close my eyes. Okay, four counts in through the nose. One, two, three, four, pause out through the nose. One, two, three, four, pause, in through the nose, one, two, three, four, pause, out through the nose. One, two, three, four, pause. One more. In through the nose. One, two, three, four, pause, out through the nose. One, two, three, four. Pause. Okay, let's get into manifestation. Oof, I love this. All right, so if you've done any research on manifestation, reading, podcasts, YouTube, there's so much out there about manifesting. And basically, a typical process for manifesting is that you set an intention, which we talked about at the beginning of week one about setting intentions, setting goals. You then have to take some inspired action. You can't just put it out there and think that it will come. And then you need to let it go and you need to have some trust that the universe will deliver it at the right time in the right way. And what I've realized, I've spent the last five years really doing a lot of work for myself about really connecting inward and really spending a lot of time working on my inner consciousness, connecting to myself, journaling, manifesting, finding inner peace, really having a calm about myself. And part of that journey has been really understanding how to actually manifest things. How do I create an abundant life that I'm looking for? And what I've realized is that I actually insert a step before the inspired action. So for me, I set an intention, then I embody my future self. And we're going to talk about this in such great detail, but I really spend time embodying the energy and the vibration of that future self. And many other mindset and manifestation experts, such as Dr. Joe Dispenza, who's one of my absolute favorites. If you don't follow him, he has so many incredible YouTube videos, definitely do. He focuses on this concept of embodiment and raising your vibration as a way to attract and manifest what you want. He does it a great deal. What I do is I insert that before taking inspired action. Some people put it after. I actually put it before. So we're gonna dig into what all this added step means. Let's get started. All right, first, set an intention. We already did this in week one, right? It's all about having goals and knowing where you want to go. That is the start. So let me give you an example of one of my intentions. One of my intentions is to get my voice out into the world to be embraced by those who will benefit from my wisdom and my magic. I write that intention every single day. I actually have a new moon ritual. Okay, if you are not familiar with rituals around the moon, Tarol Lori, she's out on Instagram. She has two books out. One is called Burn Your Shit, and the other one's called Big Deck Energy. And so she does rituals around the full moon and around the new moon. And one of her new moon rituals is about setting an intention. And then the best part is you actually write it on a piece of paper and you sleep on it. So I actually have it in my pillowcase. I do this every single month. So that is an example of what one of my intentions are. And I'm going to share with you then the other steps that I do to align with that intention. All right, the second step, embodying the future self that has already achieved that goal. So for me, it's embodying that future person who already has really felt like I've gotten my voice out into the world. And you, what you want to do is you want to live in the present moment in the energy field of that future person. You want to align with the vibration of that person. You want to be a magnet to attract the energy of that person. So I'm sure you're wondering, well, how in the world do you do that? So let me share some of the ways that I do that. So I do it through journaling, writing about all of the details about what that future person looks like, feels like, sounds like, what are they wearing? Where are they? What's the season? Who's with them? What's their lifestyle? What's the house? All of the future parts of that person and that life that I'm looking to create. I will meditate. I will often journal and then meditate because I've journaled to raise my vibration into really feeling like I am already that person. And then I will meditate to let that sink in much more deeply. Another thing that I do that's really, really important is having an awareness of the negative self-talk that might be going on in my mind. Basically, the imposter syndrome, telling me that I can't do it. What are you thinking? Even just the craziness around this whole manifestation process, being aware of the negative self-talk and then stopping it. And really thinking about why not? Why not me? Why not me as the person who really is famous, getting my voice out into the world to be heard and impacting people and reaching my goals of empowering a million women to live all in. Why not me? Reframing. Same idea, really taking things where I might have self-doubt and reframing it. So instead of just saying, I want to become a very successful podcaster, I'm reframing it to be a much broader statement, which is I want to get my voice out into the world. And that's a much bigger umbrella, and it opens up so many more possibilities when I reframe it that way. Acting as if. This doesn't mean I run ride out and buy a top-of-the-line Porsche because I've already become famous and gotten my voice out into the world and achieved this incredible state of financial abundance. However, it does mean I can act as if today and right now that my voice matters, that my voice is empowering people. And I always say on social media, you know, if you impact one person, then you've made a difference. And that's one of the reasons that I wrote my book. I talk about all the time, that really often I have this quote that I love the responses are very often hidden. But that doesn't mean that you haven't touched someone and that you haven't made a difference. Sometimes one of the other things I do to connect to that vibration is I will go out in nature and I will go for a walk. Getting into nature for me is so therapeutic. I get so many of my great business ideas by walking in nature. I solve so many problems, really getting your feet onto the ground, connecting with nature, looking around at what's going on. Nature is really helps you understand the expanse of the universe. And then while I walk, I really focus on what is my energy as I am walking. And how can I raise the vibration of my energy? And I really think about the fact that I am an energetic field as I'm walking down the street. And how can I raise that vibration, stand up taller, raise my vibration to act and be that future self who has successfully gotten my voice out into the world and empowered over a million women to live all in. When I do this, how am I seeing my future self? Right? Let me give you an example of what my future self looks like in this intention. How do I see my future self? And every time I ask myself, how do I see my future self? or someone else asks me, How do you see your future self? I'm so in tune to my intuition that I'm able to recognize that the very first image that pops to my mind is not me as a successful coach, not me here teaching a course that I love, not even me as an interior designer. That very first image that pops into my mind and has popped into my mind for the last few years, which is why I'm pursuing this, is of me on a stage. It's a large stage. It's like a Carnegie Hall type of stage. Lots of big lights, crowds of women. They are engaged, they are laughing, and I am speaking to them. Get this, I even see myself there in a white suit. I see myself on this stage by myself in a white suit with a great pair of shoes, being really confident, excited, having my energy sort of bounce off of me and the energy of the crowd feeding into me. I realize in that moment that I am just so grateful to be doing what I'm doing and to be able to make a difference and that this is really truly my passion and my calling. What I do is I will sit with that vision and I will journal about the details of that vision. I really tap into how it would be to feel that I am on that stage. What would I feel afterwards? How would that experience make me feel, make me be, and make me act? And I become that person through journaling and meditation. So that's an example of what I do in the embodiment stage. All right, so moving on to inspired action. You can't just say you want it and expect it to happen. Okay. The universe runs miracles. However, you have to meet the universe halfway. You have to do some of the work. So you need to show the universe that you are serious and that you want to co-create with the universe. Now, when I say the universe, I trust in the universe. I have a belief that there is a higher calling. I believe we are spiritual beings walking around in these human bodysuits. I'm not going to say that I am a huge proponent of everything is about a God. For you, it might be about a God. For me, it is really about having a faith in something greater than myself. So I'm going to use the word universe when I talk here versus the word God. But for you, the word God might be what really resonates for you. So use it. Do what works for you. All right. So inspired action. What is one step that you can take to help you move forward towards your goals, towards your intentions? All right, we're going to use me as an example, getting my voice out into the world to be heard. Okay. One example was for me was to commit to doing a TEDx talk and then actually doing it, right? So part of that was taking the first step, which was to hire an agency to help me really fine-tune writing it. I know how to write, I know how to speak. I am not an expert on writing a TEDx talk. So I actually sought out advice from an agency on how to help me fine-tune my TEDx talk. For me, that was the inspired action. It was also the inspired action of making the commitment that I was going to do that and vocalizing that commitment to other people. And if you haven't heard this already, I did manifest that I gave my TEDx talk in April of 2025, depending on when you're watching this. I did this in April 2025 in Dallas. It was such an incredible experience. And I have blog posts about it on my website. So check it out. When I talk about becoming a coach, right? When I set the intention that I really wanted to become a high-level coach for really ambitious executives, C level women, executives that were like the person that I was, because I really felt I am best positioned to help the person that I once was. And I could help them find a more balanced life, help them in crossroads, help them make sure they don't lose themselves in the busy of their lives. And when I decided I wanted to become a coach, not only did I take a, you know, get a certification in becoming a mindset coach, but I also set out to do this advanced, high-level certification with ICF so that I could really be the best coach I could possibly be. And taking that inspired action of signing up for those courses, that was the inspired action and the steps that I needed to really get my coaching business off the ground. All right, the last step of manifesting, letting go. Let go of the process, let go of the timing, and also let go of the specific outcome. For me, this is always the hardest part. This is also one of the hardest parts for many people. Let's be honest, we want things now. We don't want to have to wait. We want what we want and we want it now. We also want to know the timing. We want to know that things are going to work out okay. We want to know when that big door is going to open. When are we going to meet our soulmate? When are we going to have children? We want to know. The reality is you can't always know. You won't know the timing, you won't even know the what, and you won't know the when and you won't know the how. So the key to this manifestation process at the very end is letting go. Things always do work out. They might not work out the way you thought they would, though, but that's okay. If you really trust, trust in life, trust the universe, trust that the universe has your back. And if you are struggling with trusting, reach out. There are so many people like myself who have so many stories where they learn to trust the universe. I have podcast guests on all the time who have taken massive risks in their life. And they did it because they really just trusted somehow, somehow, whether it be God or the universe, that something was going to happen and it was going to work out. If they did the work, it was going to work out. I end my journaling every day that I end my journaling with this phrase. And so it will be this or something greater for me. My highest good. And that's really important. I'm going to say it one more time. And so it will be this or something greater for my highest good. Because sometimes what we think we want might not be what is really for our highest good. And I'm going to share a story about that in a minute. But that phrase signals to the universe that I am trying to manifest and that it's already been done, even if it isn't exactly what I think it should be. One of the other things I often do as part of the end of my meditation is I ask the universe for signs that I'm on the right path. And if you really focus on tapping into the vibration and the energy of your future self and you ask this, your ask will be answered, right? So for me, I often ask my angels, my spirit guides, and the universe for signs that I'm on the right path when I'm working on something. And I'll ask for that sign. Very often I say for that sign to come to me in angel signs. And on the day that I do that, I am telling you, I must see five, six, seven angel signs, angel signs, numbers repeating in a sequence of more than three. 11, 11, 10, 10, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 2, 2, 2. I'll see it in clocks. I'll see it all over the place. So when I ask for signs that I'm on the right path, when I'm working on something that I really feel connected to as my purpose, or I really am coming to a crossroads and I have to make a difficult decision and I'm trying to trust my intuition, I will often ask for a sign. And what you'll find is you get a sign. And you can work with intuitives that will also help you. You can find bodily signs. You can do things by tapping into your energy and talk to the universe and your angel guides and say, show me a sign of how my body should move if the answer is yes or the answer is no. And if you really tap in and you really listen, your body will move in different ways. For me, yes, my body moves forward. No, my body moves to the left. It's very interesting. It's a fascinating thing to do. Let's talk about a book. I love to share resources with everybody. So there's this great book called E-Squared by Pam Grout. And this book has exercises in it that you can do to show you the power of your brain. I honestly suggest you pick up a copy and try them. You will see how manifestation is really possible, especially when you learn the power that your mind has to create your reality. E squared. All right, one of the other things that's really important in this process for me that I've found is that I repeat the process. And you'll notice in the diagram, there are arrows that go from let it go, either back to setting an intention or back to embodiment. And so if my intention is still aligned, using my intention as an example to get my voice out to the world, that is still my intention. After I let it go, it doesn't mean that's over for me. I go back to embodiment. I do that again and again and again. And I continue to take inspired action, which is often different action steps because taking inspired action is the first step. And then there are more steps. You don't have to know all the steps. So for me, it is a continual loop. You don't just let it go and then it's over. You have to go back to aligning that vibration again and again and again. Also, sometimes you have to go back and revisit your intention. You might manifest something and decide that that's no longer your intention. For years, I looked to manifest my soulmate. But now that I've found my soulmate and I'm in a relationship with my boyfriend, I don't have that intention. So I had to go back and revise it. And now my intention around that relationship is really about learning to become more heart-centered, heart-driven, heart-connected with that relationship. So my intention has changed how I manifested something into my life. And sometimes manifesting can be manifesting things into your life. And sometimes it's also manifesting things out of your life. So back in December of 2023, I was invited to be a guest on a podcast show. And this was at a time when I was doing lots of podcasts to promote my new book. And every podcast that I was a guest on, I would always go and watch or listen, ideally watch because I wanted to see the podcast host watch a few of their most recently posted episodes before I was going to be a guest. So I could be familiar with their style, their format. A lot of people asked the same questions. So it kind of gave me an inkling into how the podcast was going to go so I could be the best guest possible. So there was this gentleman who was going to be a guest on his show. And I went and I watched his latest post episode. And there was this woman on there named Pia Lecter. And Pia has a branding company. And Pia lives in Copenhagen. And she has gone on this incredible spiritual journey. And she used to work in advertising sales. She comes from New York. She used to work in London. And she has a small business, a creative firm. It's a creative agency, a creative marketing agency, and she helps people with branding. And at the time, I was really struggling because I had my interior design business and I had my book. And I wanted the book to become like a book speaking business. And I was really struggling to combine those two separate identities of myself. I was managing two different websites, separate businesses, separate emails. I was really struggling to see the long-term vision of that brand as a big umbrella. So I was seeking someone who could really help me build a brand that could encompass all of the things I was interested in. I started watching Pia on this show. I watched her for five minutes and I immediately connected with her energy. I connected with her vibe. I connected with the way she was speaking. I reached out to her. I set up time to get on her calendar. And within 10 minutes of our call, I was like, you're hired. Let's just do this. And Pia is the brains and the brilliance behind the House of Germans. She really helped me to articulate what I wanted to do, what my mission was, how I wanted to get there, what my brand values were. She helped me with everything. And then she connected me with someone. She did all of the copyright for my relaunch of my brand that happened in 2024. She connected me with a woman to do all of the design and the imagery of it. So the birth of the House of Germar is really a result of the work that I did with Pia. Now, what's so interesting also about that is at the time we had to create a vision for where I wanted this business to be. And this slide right here is the vision of where I wanted the business to be at the end of 2024. So this was doing this in January. This was where I wanted the business to be at the end of 2024 for the House of German and the different buckets I wanted to be playing in for this vision, right? And so you have interior design, you have the podcast, you have the book. All of this is part of the vision. Then we also worked to create the vision for three years later. And this is the three-year later board. Okay. So this is 2027 vision board. So in three years, 2027, I wanted to be speaking and events. And I wanted that to be the largest circle of where I spent my time, followed by books, an editorial, and a movie, and the podcast, right? Interior design and designing products, because I'm very interested in designing products, were also part of the picture, but they were smaller. Do you want to see the reality of what I have manifested so far? And we haven't even gotten to 2027. Here's where we are right now. Coaching is a big circle. Coaching wasn't even on my vision in 2024, let alone for 2027. This course is also part of that big circle. This wasn't part of my original vision at all. Speaking is big, but it's not as big right now as it will be in 2024. But we haven't gotten to 2027 because remember, my intention, the visualization that always comes to me when I really dig into my heart is me on that big stage. The book is still there, but it's small. It's not as much of a big focus. The podcast is there. It's about the size that it was in 2027. So I can only imagine how big it's going to be in 2027. And the biggest part of this story of all of this manifestation is I've created all of this, right? I've manifested coaching, I've manifested the course. I've manifested the podcast so much faster than I thought. But I also manifested myself out of interior design. Notice interior design is not on the grid. Designing products is not even on the grid. I got to a turning point. I got to a crossroad. I was doing so many things. I was so fragmented with my time that I really had to tune into my intuition, ask myself some very difficult, gut-wrenching questions to identify what I was going to do with my interior design business. Was I going to stay in it or was I going to move out of it? And I have actually moved out of it. I have given away any projects that came my way. I've had to turn down business and I've had to make the decision that I will walk away from my interior design business, my baby that I grew five years ago after getting fired from my VP job. I really decided that in order for me to really go after my passion and really go after my vision to empower one million women to live all in, I can't do that by interior design. And I love interior design, but it's not going to get me to the bigger vision and my bigger purpose. So I always say to people, I actually manifested myself out of that business. I had a client with a project, it was a multi-year project that we were working on. And she called me one day and she said, you know what? I think my husband's going to do the design from here on out. And it's not that you aren't good, but my husband's going to take over your job. And I was like, wow, okay. And at the time I owed her some money back because she had prepaid and she said, I don't want the money back. And that was a sign from the universe and a gift because she gave me some money that also gave me a little bit of a runway so I can invest in this course and invest even further in my coaching. And that was a sign. I was paying attention to the signs from the universe because I had really put out there that I was trying to identify what was the right path forward at my crossroad. And I really spent a lot of time listening inward, listening to what my gut told me. Where was my passion? What excited me? How do I want to spend my time? Where did I see myself going? And every time I asked that question, I kept seeing that stage. And that stage is not interior design. So this long story is to really just tell you that I have manifested myself into a life of coaching, into the life of coursework. I've also manifested myself out of a life of interior design, which I had manifested back five years ago. It's all an evolution, it's all a process. All right, 2027, I can honestly say right now, as I sit here today and stand here today creating this course, I have no idea what the circles are going to look like in 2027. But that is such an inspiring, empowering place to be, is to not know. And I just have to remind myself: trust, trust in the universe, trust in life. The universe has my back. And if I lead forward with a place of goodness, positivity, purpose, I will find it. All right, your homework for today, I want you to spend some time on embodiment. I want you to write ways that you can embody feeling and being in the energy of your future self. So I want you to write about all of those, and then I want you to pick two of them to try over the next few days. How do they feel? How long can you hold that energy and that vibration of your future self? This is just the beginning. It's practice. So I'm excited for you to try it. It really does work. A recap of today. Okay, today, manifestation process, right? Setting an intention, embodying that future self, taking inspired action, and then letting go. Tomorrow, we're gonna recap this big week because this was a huge week. We covered so much content, and then we're gonna review our reflection homework.
