The Unbusy Mom - take your time back strategies for business moms
How does getting 20 hours back a week sound?
Mom life is easy for me. And by the way, I’m working from home (plus homeschooling!) with 5 kids.
Want me to show you how?
‘Cause they told you there was a better way. And there is.
It’s figuring out the personalized business-and-family structure that supports YOU – one that exactly matches the way you’ve been designed.
Because you don’t want to hang out in this family stage for 2 years, constantly showing up last minute for your kids OR your clients, barely making it to your monthly revenue targets….
And exhausting yourself to do it.
So if….
✅ You feel like you’re up to your eyeballs in to-do lists
✅ You’ve got more things scheduled on your calendar than you’ve ever seen
✅ Your kids need more time than you’ve currently got (for homework & playing with them after school)
✅ Your plans for date night are getting pushed last minute (or snoozed till next week – again)
✅ You can’t even fathom taking a two-hour break in the middle of the day (because if you stop, the house might literally burn down)
✅ You can’t remember the last time you got a pedicure (because you’re too busy taking care of everyone except yourself)
Then it’s time to escape the never-ending cycle of “there goes my lunch break” meetings, “turn around by Friday” projects, & “hang on I’m almost done” answers to your kids….
…And swap that for working less, snuggling your kids, and putting "me time" back on your calendar.
Because you’re getting up every day to deal with the mishmash of “flexible” family life, constant kid interruptions, and not-there-yet business goals….
Wondering why you can’t seem to settle into the right routine for this family stage + client level.
So I’m going to hand you the cheat sheet to WFH balance….
By using Human Design to pull out the right tactics for your specific personality + family setup.

Client case study: Try THIS to get things done when you truly hate schedules and task lists - but you’re also an entrepreneur!
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Are you feeling stuck, confined, overscheduled at the thought of building your own “best life” or “mom productivity routine” or all that stuff?
Does creating your best weekly calendar sound like just another hoop to jump through, another rigid schedule to keep, that you don’t really want to do?
This is where one of my busy clients was when she came to me, and here’s how I turned her reluctance on its head….
You’ve got this!

This is a Client Case Study, and today we’re talking about how to get things done when you truly hate schedules and task lists - but you’re also an entrepreneur!

Find out what your carrot is. What you really, truly want most out of life right now. This evening, this week, this semester.
You’ve GOT to give yourself a motivation for sticking with this new, revamped routine.
(Otherwise it’s not going to work, just like your other iterations.)
So what do you REALLY want?
- A nap each morning? (You feed the way-too-early-rising baby and go back to bed?)
- A slow shower by yourself each night so you can decompress?
- Time to skype with your across-the-country friend each week with no interruptions?
- An exercise routine that’s out of the house while your husband takes the kids?
What would you turn your life upside down for, if you knew you could get it?
Guess what - you CAN have that. You just have to set up the morning or evening or weekend routine to do it.
And then every time you complain to yourself that you didn’t really want to go to bed right now, or prep this food right now, remind yourself of that carrot. That thing you get, that prized activity you get to indulge in, if you keep to this schedule that you created for yourself.
Because it’s not about the schedule, not really.
It’s about making time for what YOU most want in your day.
Then using that desire, that carrot, to build a structure for your morning or a schedule for your weeknights accordingly.
THAT’S what your new time blocking is in support of.
(Not some arbitrary efficiency scheme to find the best way to lay out your day!)
Which means you, my dear mompreneur friend, get to decide what it is you’re actually going for.
(Whether that’s a completely child-free, kids-in-bed-by-6:30 evening that requires you to prep everything earlier in the day, or a nice, long stretch of early morning quiet that you’re more than happy to trade for a bunch of Instapot filling later in the day.)
Don’t make the mistake of building your schedule first, then trying to find a carrot later. Choose your reward first.
And see what changes about your day when you keep THIS goal in the forefront of your mind.
It’s not the specific to-do’s that you’ve got on your schedule that pull you to do them; it’s the *reward* (whether internal or external) that you’ve promised yourself for *completing* them that’s what matters.
Whether it’s the reward of seeing a client sign your website rebrand package (for taking 20 daily outreach marketing actions), or the satisfaction of restocking your podcast episode bank (for next time your entire family gets the flug bug).
And when I’m your coach inside Mompreneur Made Easy, we’re going to revamp your *entire* weekly mom life schedule so that you can handle *both* the run-the-family AND the CEO-of-your-business side of things from this rewards-oriented viewpoint.
‘Cause *that’s* what’s going to catapult you to the “can’t wait to work on my business” life satisfaction success you’re dreaming of - *truly* loving your day-to-day life (*not* gritting your teeth through it).
And together, we’ve got this. Because I’m here for *you* in your work/life balance journey as a business mom.
You just have to admit you want a way more *enjoyable* kind of work-from-home life.
