The Unbusy Mom - take your time back strategies for business moms
Welcome to the Unbusy Mom, where I help you love your work-from-home mom life again.
Hi, I’m Alyssa - the Take Your Time Back coach, plus a homeschool mom to 5 kids - and mompreneur life is easy for me!
And if I can make it work - not just work, thrive - then you can, too.
It’s time to
-Give yourself the workouts, journaling, and hobby time you need every single day (that’s why it’s 3 hours, not 40 minutes)
-Deep work for hours (guilt-free) as you scale your business
-Shut off the marketing brain so you can be fully present as a mom
-Spend more time cuddling your kids, less time cleaning up after them
-Up your revenue, not your hours
Ready to take back the “work at home with kids around” life you always intended this to be?

Client Case Study: Fix THIS about your work-from-home day to get your clients to stop crossing your client/coach or client/service provider boundaries!
This client came to me with what seemed like an overwhelmed schedule issue, that really turned out to be a boundaries problem - so if you think this might be you, listen in.
She was a very successful business owner, but she couldn’t seem to make her family life work the way she wanted it to.
Her son wouldn’t obey her chore requests, constantly interrupted client meetings (to the point that she was having to work odd hours), and took up all of her time off work time.
(No wonder she was hitting burnout!)
But at the same time, when we dug into her business end on our session, we discovered that some of her clients were treating her the same way - like a doormat.
Find out what her fix was….
You’ve got this!

This is a Client Case Study, and today we’re discussing what to fix about your work-from-home day to get your clients to stop crossing your client/coach or client/service provider boundaries!
So sometimes we don’t even *realize* it, and we’re playing out long-held patterns in our very *life* that are blocking us from even the most *basic* success in our businesses and with our kids.
Things like “time always gets away from me” and “my desires don’t matter; I’m just here to serve other people” or maybe “I’ve got to get all this done before I can relax.”
One client came to me with what seemed like an overwhelmed schedule issue, that *really* turned out to be a boundaries problem - so if you think this might be you, listen in.
This woman was a very successful business owner, but she couldn’t seem to make her family life work the way she wanted it to. Her son wouldn’t obey her chore requests, constantly interrupted client meetings (to the point that she was having to work odd hours), and took up *all* of her time off work time. (No wonder she was hitting burnout!)
But at the same time, when we dug into her *business* end on the call, we discovered that some of her *clients* were treating her the same way - like a doormat!
Here, do this for us; no, we want that; oh, and can you make up this for me, by tomorrow afternoon?
And she felt powerless to stop this trampling of her contractual agreements, ‘cause she didn’t want to turn away the cash. But it was burning her out (on the business she *loved*) inside.
So when she shared these disparate issues with *me*, I suddenly saw a common thread (with my outsider’s perspective).
She wasn’t saying “no” to *either* her clients *or* her son, and enforcing it. It was always a “well, I’d *like* you not to do this and I’m going to hope it doesn’t happen.” Or a “one reminder and then I’ll flex to what you want.”
Now, this is a tough situation for *anyone* to find themselves in, *especially* when you’ve built up several *years* of work history or parenting history on being a pushover!
But - and here’s the tradeoff - multi-six-figure business success and kids that jump up to help you around the house (not to mention let you go off to drink a cup of coffee in peace and quiet) are *only* going to be created by *you* doing the hard work of *setting* boundaries and then *keeping* to them.
This isn’t throwing shade on that frustrated woman, or any of *you*, for that matter. It’s just an opportunity for growth that now you see ahead of you.
Your dream life is on the other side of this.
*Now* it makes sense to work on this. You didn’t have enough of a why before.
But *now* you’ll do this.
Move into this.
*Step* into this.
It’s because that magical work-from-home life, taking care of your kid, is *way* better to you than a temporary season of “no, honey, I said not to do that. Come here right now and finish the dishes.”
Or emailing your client, “Hey, I have some availability for that, but it’ll be an extra three thousand dollar charge. Here’s the payment button; I’ll get started as soon as I see your funds come through.”
Over, and over, and over again.
‘Cause that’s the only way to do it. To retrain *this big* of a pattern in your life.
But you know what? It may take 3 months, 6 months, even 9 months - and that pattern absolutely can and *will* change.
I know, because I’ve done it.
The first time I signed up for business coaching, I thought I knew everything but a little hard-hitting strategy advice. *Surely* it was just a matter of this one technique or lead gen pathway that I didn’t know.
But it turned out, I had *tons* of patterns sabotaging my monthly metric success, and I couldn’t even see it. But my coach could.
Things like….
- Not seeing myself as an expert for my people
- Not knowing how *I* wanted to teach and lead them (only what the market thinks)
- Not being able to take constructive feedback without spinning out
- Not taking breaks ‘cause surely the right answer was pushing through
And on and on and on.
But you know what? 6 months later, that was all different. I had changed.
And that’s why I know *you* can do this, too. Just like my client here. Just like I had to.
*You* decide you’re going to make this work, fix everything that comes up for you along the way, and persevere even through the *non* quick wins about CEO personal development….
And you’re going to make it through. I promise you.
Because you don’t HAVE to do every single thing around the house – and that’s what I’m going to show you.
You don’t HAVE to short your clients (or your sleep!) to be a good mom and fit everything in.
I’m going to hand you the delegation templates broken down by age; coach you in the time blocking strategies that are going to work for YOU (not the standard hustle productivity advice); and help you create the “pinch me” version of your work-from-home schedule.
And if you’re ready for this, I’ll see you on the other side.
