The Unbusy Mom - take your time back strategies for business moms
How does getting 20 hours back a week sound?
Mom life is easy for me. And by the way, I’m working from home (plus homeschooling!) with 5 kids.
Ready to give yourself permission to quit?
✅ You feel like you’re up to your eyeballs in to-do lists
✅ You’ve got more things scheduled on your calendar than you’ve ever seen
✅ Your kids need more time than you’ve currently got (for homework & playing with them after school)
✅ Your plans for date night are getting pushed last minute (or snoozed till next week – again)
✅ You can’t even fathom taking a two-hour break in the middle of the day (because if you stop, the house might literally burn down)
✅ You can’t remember the last time you got a pedicure (because you’re too busy taking care of everyone except yourself)
It’s time to escape the never-ending cycle of “there goes my lunch break” meetings, “turn around by Friday” projects, & “hang on I’m almost done” answers to your kids….
And swap that for working less, snuggling your kids, and putting "me time" back on your calendar.
Listen - I’ve been a work-at-home entrepreneur for 5+ years, with 5 kids at home with me (all day every day), with podcasts to record and client calls to take - and I’m still getting 3 hours of free time a day.
My genius is showing you what you SHOULDN’T be doing - ‘cause you’re right, you can’t do it all.
And it’s time for you to stop creating unnecessary pressure in your role as mom, entrepreneur, and all-around high achiever.
Here’s your new “work from home freedom” plan….
✔ Give yourself the workouts, journaling, and hobby time you need every single day
✔ Spend more time cuddling your kids, less time cleaning up after them
✔ Shut off the work brain and be fully present as a mom
✔ Deep work for hours (guilt-free) as you scale your business
✔ Up your revenue, not your hours

The Unbusy Mom - take your time back strategies for business moms
Which is better: morning selfcare or getting a head start on your business to-do list?
You’re already sold on morning routines, but which is better - knocking out 5 chores before the kids get up, or using your precious quiet hours to pour into yourself?
Because you know you need to schedule in your personal recharge time on the daily, and morning’s one of the easiest times to actually guarantee it….
(Aka, win-win for your scheduling process….)
But should you ACTUALLY be doing it? Right then and there?
Because it's not going to work too well to cram both into your morning.
Which means you've got to choose.
You’ve got this!

This is the Unbusy Mom, and today we’re debating what’s the best use for your morning quiet time - doing selfcare, or getting a head start on your to-do list?
You might be sold on morning routines, but there's actually this huge divide going on in the productivity slash mom selfcare space about mornings.
Which is better: should you knock out 5 food prep chores before the kids get up, or should you use your precious quiet house hours to pour into yourself - like read the Bible, get your workout in, and meditate to start off the day?
Because you KNOW you need to schedule in your personal recharge time on the daily, and morning’s one of the EASIEST times to actually guarantee it…. (Win win for your schedule processes….)
But should you ACTUALLY be doing it? Right then and there?
Because it's not going to work too well to cram BOTH into your morning. So usually you've got to choose.
And even what *I* do right now isn’t getting all “meditation-y” and center-y to start off the day - despite what you might think!
No, I’m diving headlong into work (that’s what’s best for my deep creative flow) after a quick prayer to ground into and start my day
Now. I'm not going to choose FOR you on which one this has to be.
But if you're coming to me with this question - what's the most productive use for my morning time as an entrepreneur mom - like this client was, then it's time to dive into this.
And first, we're going to start with a simple visualization exercise.
Pretend you've just knocked out the 5 most important things on your to-do list, and now it's time to face the with-kids day. How do you feel? Any regrets or satisfaction about your day?
Now pretend you've just spent the last 90 minutes focusing on podcasts, spiritual practices, and getting yourself in the optimal head space for your day. You hear the kids getting up. What comes to mind about how you feel? Any regrets or satisfaction here?
Basically, I want YOU to pick which would feel better to you - hitting the to-do list, or filling yourself up. I don't think there's any "this is bad!" or "always do the other!" here.
Both are good, and both are needed at different times in your life.
So which one is needed for you, right now? In this season you're currently in? Would it feel more helpful to start off grounded, or to cross off your to-do list?
It's entirely up to you. (And remember, you can pick one way to try, then decide it isn't working after a week and switch it! Totally okay.)
Which approach is going to be the key to staying centered and on track all through the day?
That's the one that's right for you. The one that you ACTUALLY want to do.
Just pick that one.
Which morning routine are you choosing today?
