Good Evening Swansea
Episode 21 - Ciaran Fitzgerald - Writing scripts and changing views!
Thirty-year-old Ciaran Fitzgerald's award-winning six-part drama series "Bwmp" is currently on S4C and is billed as "the perfect mix of heart, humour, and real-world challenge"... which also could be how his life could be described.
Ciaran, a disabled writer and presenter, has won an RTS Cymru award for his work and he is very much a man on the up. Armed with a BA Scriptwriting degree from the University of South Wales, he's the first from his family to venture into theatre and television work. His writing has seen him feature on BBC Radio Wales, write for and appear on S4C, and write for Theatr Clwyd and the Sherman Theatre. Ciaran has cerebral palsy and is passionate about increasing disability representation on screen.
While doing all of the above, he told Jack and Ant how he still finds time to follow Swansea City Football Club - where he's a member of their Disabled Supporters Association - and he gets himself amongst the goals when playing for the city's Bravehearts football team.
