Episode 28 - Liz Perkins... The tennis, the Taliban and the Telegraph
Award-winning former Evening Post reporter Liz Perkins joins Jack and Ant in this episode, looking back at some of the highlights of her journalistic career so far.
The episode begins with Liz - an acclaimed sports writer - giving an insight into covering Wimbledon every day throughout the tournament. From meeting the celebrity spectators, to interviewing the game's biggest names, much is packed into every day at the famous SW19 courts.
But there's so much more that the former Carmarthenshire schoolgirl shares with the boys - there's working on the Post, being sent to Afghanistan and coming face to face with the Taliban, returning to education at Oxford University, her media articles and campaigns that have led to changes in UK law... and blowing the lid on a scandal that shock Welsh rugby to the core!
It's just short of 50 minutes that the Telegraph night editor chatted with Jack and Ant - it could so easily have been several hours! We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it.
WARNING: The episode contains reference to prostitution, war and sexual offences.
