Today it truly hit me how much most live from the surface of this world. It is a difficult task to have a deep and meaningful conversation with most people. I often wonder if people do not want to have deep, excavating and thoughtful conversations because it might mean that it would require them to do something, anything. How can we begin to excavate and uproot problems if we are not willing to look below the surface?
