The other day, this commercial comes on for Realtor.ca.
It’s a guy singing about how he regrets not using a Realtor. As we watch 3 separate scenes, he sings about each explaining what happened and why he regrets the purchase. One being a sewage plant that can be seen from his new home, the next being the new condo building being built which will now block the view you thought you were buying, and the final being black flies taking over a bbq.
As it ended, it got me thinking –
No one likes when people we know don't work with us. And I do realize you still want that business and that's totally logical...but they’re looking to buy a property in an area you know nothing about, so how are you supposed be the expert that the Commercial portrays?
So I threw this 2 part question out there in a Real Estate Group I’m part of -
1) should you still be bothered by their decision to work with someone else even though you know...that you don't actually know?
2) what would you do to 'earn' that deal and be that Realtor that the commercial is saying everyone needs to use?
Tune into this Episode to follow along what happened next.
In the second part of this Episode, I discuss how a lot of hard work and adding free value consistently opened a door I didn't even know existed, for me to be a guest on the popular Newstalk1010 Radio show here in Toronto.
You will also be able to listen to the full interview.
Credits for this Episode go to the Host - Todd C. Slater, the Producer - Iain Grant, and to Bell Media and Newstalk1010am. I am grateful for your invitation.
