Hey, Podcasters!

For a long time, podcast transcripts felt like a nice extra. We knew they were helpful, but not necessarily essential.

That’s changed!

If you’re on one of our current paid plans at Buzzsprout, we’re now automatically generating transcripts for your new episodes.

And the timing couldn’t be better!

Transcripts have become one of the most useful tools you can have for your show. They make your podcast more accessible, help search engines and AI understand your content, and make it much easier to reuse the work you’ve already created.

Platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify are supporting transcripts more, and tools like Google and ChatGPT can actually use them to suggest your episodes when people search for specific topics.

That means your podcast isn’t just something people listen to anymore. It’s something they can find!

There’s also a creative side to this.

Once you have a transcript, it can help you build everything else:

  • Show notes and blog posts
  • Social content and clips
  • Future episode ideas
  • Even talks, presentations, or books

If you haven’t really paid attention to transcripts before, now’s a good time to start!

Watch the video to see how transcripts can help you grow your podcast and get more out of every episode.
