Yogi and The BeachMan
Welcome to our humble podcast, where guests share their stories and passions, showcasing how they help people and alleviate suffering, making the world a better place one insightful conversation at a time. Join us as we dive into a myriad of topics fueled by our passion to make a positive impact.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we bring you fresh episodes packed with entertaining and inspiring stories with proven life hacks you'll appreciate.
Meet our hosts: two witty Michigan transplants now enjoying life in sunny Southwest Florida. One is a left-leaning Yogi, and the other a right-leaning BeachMan. Despite their differing views, they find common ground on peace, self-improvement, helping others, healthy eating, light-heartedness, music, and a shared love for animals.
Our backgrounds are as diverse as our interests, ranging from naval nuclear training and submarine adventures to in-depth explorations of yoga, sales, solar power systems, and labor and delivery nursing.
Tune in and join the conversation as we explore how individuals are making a difference and learn how you can too.

Acupuncture Secrets Revealed: Healing Pain with Antonio Barros
Dive into an enlightening episode of Yogi and The BeachMan as hosts Jim (Yogi) and Rick (BeachMan) sit down with Antonio Barros, a Punta Gorda-based acupuncturist and Diplomat of Oriental Medicine. In this captivating conversation, Antonio demystifies the ancient art of acupuncture, sharing how it restores balance to the body’s energy channels to tackle everything from chronic pain and neuropathy to anxiety and digestive woes. Discover the surprising science (and mystery!) behind needling, why ice might not be your friend for injuries, and how Antonio’s journey—from graphic design to healing arts—led him to transform lives with Solshine Acupuncture.
Expect more than just health talk—this episode takes a bold turn into the trio’s shared skepticism of Big Pharma, the profit-driven medical system, and the processed food industry poisoning our plates. With personal stories of recovery, a sprinkle of music (Antonio’s a guitarist with a “Plandemic” song on SoundCloud!), and a hopeful nod to cultural shifts led by figures like RFK Jr., this is a raw, real, and inspiring listen. Whether you’re curious about alternative medicine, fed up with conventional healthcare, or just love a good jam session invite, this episode has it all.
Listen Now: Tune in for a blend of wisdom, wit, and a call to rethink how we heal—perfect for locals and truth-seekers alike!
