Calm Your Nervous System
Calm Your Nervous System is the podcast for neurodivergent high-achievers who are done with burnout, overwhelm, and running on adrenaline — and you’re ready to create a healthier and wealthier life.
I’m Jenny Adams, award-winning Somatic ADHD Coach, and I’m here to show you what most strategies miss: until your nervous system feels safe, you’ll keep wasting time, money and energy on short term “fixes” that miss your brilliance!
Unrecognised ADHD burned me out so badly I spent years reliant on a wheelchair- I see the patterns of pushing and I don’t want this for you!
You’ll hear honest conversations and practical tools to:
✨ Break free from survival mode
✨ Rewire the beliefs keeping you small
✨ Build habits that actually stick (ND-friendly, not NT moulds)
✨ Create more energy, money, and joy — without burning out
Because when you regulate your nervous system, you don’t just cope. You thrive. You create. You live your limitless neurodivergent life.

How Sayeeda Alam Used Yoga and Ayurvedic Principles to Heal from CFS | Episode 6
At one point, I was so sick of being asked if I’d tried yoga that I got a sticker for my mobility scooter that said “Yes, I have tried yoga. No, it didn’t work”. If I had known then that some types of yoga aren’t even physical, maybe I might not have got it! Today’s guest is my friend Sayeeda Alam, who is a dedicated yoga teacher and Ayurvedic lifestyle advisor passionate about holistic well-being. She considers herself 95% healed from CFS and believes in the power of offering tailored practices to others looking to find balance in body and mind.
If this episode inspires you to take up a form of yoga, especially a non-physical one, I’d love to hear from you. My Instagram is linked on the show notes for this episode and my DMs are always open!
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
- Why Sayeeda found yoga essential to recovery and different types of yoga you can try too
- How trauma can affect you physically, not just mentally
- Why accepting your chronic illness is so important in healing from it
- The changes Sayeeda made to her lifestyle that she feels helped her
