If writing your own copy is too time consuming and hiring a done for you copywriter is out of budget, then you are in the right place. As a seasoned copywriter with over half a decade of experience in the coaching industry, I've conducted extensive market research, gathering over 200 pieces of data from business owners just like you, and the results are clear. The three there are three major hurdles most coaches and service providers face when it comes to writing their own copy. But here's the good news, achieving expert level results in your DIY copy is totally possible by identifying and overcoming these three common mistakes, you can craft copy that is as polished and powerful as that of a season to pro in this episode, we'll dive into the three critical mistakes that could be slowing you down and holding you back. By avoiding these pitfalls, you'll be able to craft copy more quickly while also boosting your confidence and your conversions. Let's dive right in copywriting mistake to avoid. Number one, you don't have enough time. Running a business demands your attention in countless directions, making it challenging to find the time to research, write and refine copy that converts when you're overwhelmed with the daily tasks. It's so easy for copywriting to take a back seat and fall down your to do list, the result is missed opportunities for growth and a stagnant brand presence. One of the biggest challenges is staring at the same draft for too long. So maybe you have, like, time blocked on your calendar. This is when I'm going to write my copy, sit down and just get it done. But then you're staring at the same draft for too long, your brain becomes fatigued and makes it difficult to spot inconsistencies or areas that need improvement, and the more you push yourself to edit, the harder it becomes to keep your perspective fresh. And this isn't a matter of skill, either as a writer, copywriter or expert in your in your zone. Obviously you are. This is a normal human limitation. We all reach a point where our ability to self edit diminishes, and that is where bringing in an extra set of eyes can make a significant difference. Having someone else review your work allows you to catch those details that you might have with missed, and refine your copy more efficiently. It's not necessarily about getting better at copywriter copywriting, though that happens too. It's about recognizing the limits of your capacity and using smart strategies to overcome them, ensuring that your copy is always sharp and effective. Copywriting mistake number two is your second guessing yourself and overthinking. Been there, done that, so instead of confidently pressing send on that email, you've been meaning to email your list, you feel that you wasted your time going in circles, unsure of where to start or how to even plan out your writing time for your business. And when you do get something on paper, the imposter syndrome then creeps in, and you're unsure of if your copy will resonate with your audience. The self doubt can be paralyzing, leading to fear of visibility, putting your words out there, what are other people going to think? So then you procrastinate, and there's a total lack of confidence in the final product. When you're caught in a cycle of overthinking, your messaging can become inconsistent, the quality of your content suffers, and you end up with underperforming copy that fails to drive the results that you need to grow your business. Overthinking also causes you to lose sight of your brand's voice and the clear message you want to convey. Instead of trusting your gut and letting your unique perspective shine through, you end up watering down your content trying to please everyone and ultimately resonating with no one. This uncertainty can make your content feel disjointed and off brand, leaving your audience confused and disengaged. To break free from this cycle you want to focus on clarity and simplicity in your writing, trust your expertise and remember that your audience values your authenticity. When you stop second guessing and start writing with confidence, your content will naturally become more compelling, consistent and effective in driving results and copywriting. Mistake number three to avoid is you are over relying on templates or AI because you don't know where to start. These tools are great as tools, but they often produce generic, cookie cutter copy that lacks the personality needed to truly connect with your audience, and the amount of time that you need to spend creating your custom GPT or continually prompting it to get it just right, you might as well invest that time in making you the better copywriter, not your little AI bot, because the reality. T is, I've yet to hear someone say my business exploded once I started using AI. And similarly, I've never heard an industry changer express their gratitude for templates, while they can be helpful to get the ideas flowing. True business growth happens when you tap into the unique and undeniable message that is on your heart, and gain unmistakable clarity on your purpose when you write from this place that is where the good stuff truly happens. Your Audience craves this authenticity and originality, and that is something that no template or AI can fully replicate or bring out of you. This is why I do not sell templates alone. Right now, I give you my starter documents that come with my Power Hour. If you buy a power hour that will come with a starter document for you as a place to brain dump, as a place to get you started, but then we have the power hour to take you through, to get you the results that you need to get. So templates can be a useful starting point, sure, but they're not. The end all be all to create copy that truly stands out and drives results, you need to infuse your unique voice and message into every single sentence, using again, using templates or AI can help lower the brain fatigue of what do I even write this time? But we can't rely on them entirely. Get the support you need to tailor your content so it feels authentic to you, sounds like you, and resonates deeply with your audience. So there you have it. The three most common copywriting mistakes that I see over the years is not having enough time, not knowing where to start and not being confident it will convert. The good news is that I have one solution that will take care of all of these pain points, and that is copy critique club. Make no mistake, copy critique club can support you in being confident that your copywriting will convert without spending too much time on it, even if you have no idea where to start. I actually had a client who was like, I want you to audit this email sequence for me, because I'm going to automate it, so I want to make sure it's good. She's like, even if you tell me there are zero edits, no changes that need to be made, I still want to pay you to look at it for me so I can be confident that this is worth automating and it's going to work for me, the conversions are going to happen. So if you are an expert in your field, which if you are listening to this, I would assume you are, it is now time for your copy to get the conversions that you deserve. If you've tried AI templates or even having your VA write or repurpose, but your content creation process still feels bleh. There's now an easier way to articulate all of the value that you offer so that the right people don't miss what's right in front of them. This is the secret weapon that will have your business besties wondering how you write all that copy that has your right fit audience wanting more of what you have to offer. This is how you can get an expert copywriter, writer with a track record of sold out launches in your back pocket for reviews and critiques so that you can be confident pressing publish. Here's how it works. Once you're inside one you just send me the link to the piece of copy that you're working on. Or pro tip, you can have your VA submit it for you, don't add anything more to your plate. Then I will give you expert suggestions and guidance, either via loom or directly onto your Google copy doc tell you what you need to improve or change and why. And then step three, you or your team member can implement the changes and watch your confidence and conversions skyrocket. So you can either do go through this process yourself. And clients have already said like, I have felt like I've become a better copywriter as a result of just like, seeing what you change and hearing why you do it, or if you want to be more hands off, literally, a va could submit it for you and implement the changes that I tell them to implement. It will be that simple. So let's get real, practical and tangible. Now are what? So what are common types of copywriting that you can submit? So it can be literally anything from top of funnel to bottom of funnel. So launch copy strategy, sales pages, emails, an automated email sequence. We, I can you can look at the whole thing and like, look at it for flow and clarity, any page of your website, Facebook, ad copy, landing pages, thank you. Pages, order bumps, a batch of social media captions. I can help you repurpose your podcast content with a human touch. After AI did its thing for you. We can take your blogs and optimize them for SEO. You can literally just send me a brain dump to figure out where you need to start. You can say, here's what I'm trying to create. Here are some thoughts I have around it. How do I even start to approach this thing and you that could be a submission in itself, to even just give you that oomph, that push in the right direction. You can also send me screenshots of your content, data, your open rate, your CTR. Is whatever KPIs that you're looking at, and I will analyze that for you and give you direction to take next based on how your current content is performing. So which one of these do you need to finally check off your to do list? You can get my suggestions based on my expertise and experience all in the context of your unique project. And the best part is you don't have to sit through group coaching calls for this. You don't have to block off time where you have to be at your computer. This is not a course where you go through a bunch of generalized videos. This is literally you submitting your specific copy that you are currently working on and getting specific feedback that you can then make moves on. It is the most actionable thing possible. So if writing your own copy is too time consuming, and hiring a done for you copywriter is not within the budget right now, this is just the thing you need. Inside copy critique club, you can submit what you're working on every single week for just 197 a month, and hiring a copywriter on retainer, just for comparison purposes, can cost you a grand or more per month, which, to be honest, is a smart move for seven plus figure CEOs. But until you reach that level, or are approaching that level, copy critique club is the most accessible way to get a pro copywriter in your back pocket, and all your business besties will be asking how you do it, and where else can you get a 24 hour turnaround on your copy? You can submit copy on a Tuesday, get it reviewed by Wednesday and back to you so that you can implement and keep moving the needle in your business. So if you are regularly creating content, which, if you're not, why not? You should be, you need to be to you to love your audience. Well, you have to communicate with them consistently. If you are curious about dipping your toe into working with a copywriter, this is a very affordable way to do it. Or if you're an agency, and you want to support your agency clients with expert feedback. You can trust that does not require any more of your bandwidth. I can also give copy critiques on behalf, like for your clients. So if so, whether you're a solopreneur, a personal brand or an agency, copy creative club is perfect for you when you want expert eyeballs on your copy, so that you can be sure it is optimized to make sales. This is a monthly membership that will keep you accountable to actually talk to your people on a regular basis and get the reassurance that you're doing it right with an experienced copywriter in your back pocket. So now you can stop spending too much time on your copywriting and get back to what you do best and what you actually love doing. The reason why you started your business, which I'm sure is not to write your own copy. Writing your own copy is hard. Even if you're a mart an amazing marketer for your clients, you're too close to your own business to be able to write about it effectively, which is another reason why copy critique club just makes so much sense. How do you know what to say? How do you know you're making it sound good in your own words? How do you even find time to write it all? Or maybe you've just stared at it for so long you're not even really seeing it anymore. This is why you need copy critique club so you can finally get your copywriting done and be confident it will resonate and convert. No more winging it.
